We are in beautiful bush with 5 acres cleared. We run on solar power and have most 'mod-cons' including Internet etc.We feed our wild wallabies, native hens and have chooks and 2 donkeys.Having been for years WWOOF hosts in the past, we love cultural exchange, good company, music, vegetable growing. Swimming and bushwalking is good here, and we'd be very happy to have you over Xmas and New Year, besides other times. We'd love general help with wood-splitting, stacking, etc., possibly any small-building help, or any yurt-making knowledge. We have a mixed diet, and smoking is fine but outside please.

Work hard - play hard! In the heart of Tasmania's north, we produce two main crops - tomatoes and garlic. We sell directly to farmers' markets, restaurants, specialty stores and nurseries. We also produce a wide range of quality garlic and tomato-based products. There are many opportunities to learn a number of skills, from general farm work to cooking, preserving, packing and marketing.(Of course, tasting is an essential requirement).
We work hard but also offer a wide range of opportunities to play hard after work. We are just a few minutes away from a popular fishing lake. Our kayaks are a great way to explore the lake. We have horses, bikes, quiet back roads, lots of walking tracks to explore and some bushwalking gear for hire. The night stars are stunning and can be enjoyed from the comfort of a swag if you choose.
Helpers are provided with comfortable accommodation, all meals and a family environment.

Hi, I am Harald , an active hobby farmer, in his sixties, working a full-time 9 to 5 job and running the up keep of a small 26 acre piece of Paradise called Pinecroft.
My wife, Lee, works part time in the city and is active on the farm. We have a number of children that also come and go.
Nestled in the rugged Huon Valley, Pinecroft is surrounded by alpine view's and rushing rivers. We have access to bush walking, opportunities for summer and winter recreational activities.
It's recommended you have your own transport, 7K from main highway to Hobart, however transport in Tasmania can be difficult without a car.
Life on a farm here can be isolated without transport.
Private accommodation provided. Meals are basic and shared as a household.
There will be a variety of non demanding work as well as farm work. Cooking, cleaning, gardening, nurturing the animals, building project's and farm maintenance.
Some of the work is hard and, understandably, requires a certain amount of stre... more inside

We live on a beautiful rural property only 10 minutes from the vibrant city of Hobart. We are in the process of setting up a small hobby farm, but we have a lot of work to do before we can start to produce. Our home is very small (1 room for a family of 5!!) but we have a separate caravan for guests to use. We have three young girls, Willa is 3, Miriam is 5 and Romily is 7 and a gentle old dog called Toby.

Sophie works full time in an equity project at the University, and Matt is at home full time, caring for our girls, working on the land and building our home! He is a qualified carpenter, and the renovations are being done as sustainably as possible with lots of recycled materials.

Workers would be involved in tasks such as large scale weeding and land management, some help with renovations, fencing, cooking and general house duties. For full board and all meals we would expect approximately 4 hours a day. There is always lots to do here, but we hope that helpers can ... more inside

Hi, I am Romany I have a small suburban 3 bedroom house with big backyard, 3 chooks and 2 cats. The house is near Mona, bust stops, shopping precincts and the bike track. I have a tenant who is a music student and tends to hide in her room. I only have 1 spare room with a single bed but if the right couple were interested they could have my room. I would like someone to come and stay anywhere during 12/12/15-24/12/15.

1. The outside of my weatherboard house needs sanding and painting. As this is such a huge job I was thinking of just doing a wall at a time.
2. I would like to paint the lounge room and sand the picture rails and skirting boards.
3. I have a little caravan with a covered over outdoor area on the Tasman peninsula that needs a sink and bench put in.
4. My garden needs serious help and the house needs a spring clean.
I am thinking that I would get visitors to work 3 or 4 hours per day for food and board but am open to negotiation. I am not a particularly good coo... more inside

We operate a commercial cut-flower farm in Gardners Bay, 6km south of the Cygnet township. We are able to offer a recently renovated, self-contained cabin (separate from the main house)for your accommodation in return for two hours work per person per day plus five hours of paid work per week. (The five hours would count towards a second year visa application but, due to Government changes, not the other hours). We would require you to do your own cooking in the kitchen in your cabin.

Tasks around the farm include weeding, pruning, flower picking, mowing, whipper-snippering, painting, other maintenance, etc., etc..Having your own transport would be advantageous, however, we do travel to Hobart every day, where we have a florist shop, and there are twice-daily buses to and from Cygnet to Hobart.

Our preference would be for non-smokers.
We do not have a vacancy until further notice. Possibly early to mid December
