Sorry - help not needed right now.
The property is just over two hectares (five acres) in tropical North Queensland near Kuranda, 45 minutes from Cairns, with one third dedicated to a beautiful tropical landscaped garden. The balance is natural bushland with a dam, native wildlife including wallabies, a huge range of bird life and frogs. There are also chickens, a veggie garden and a variety of tropical fruit trees.
My name is Jeanette and I really enjoy meeting interesting, easy going people who share my love of life, laughter and good food and discovering all the wonders of this tropical wonderland. While here as my guests you are treated as family and most stays are one to two weeks.
This self contained homestay is perfect for you if you love gardening, have an appreciation of nature and can help maintain this little piece of paradise. Your work includes gardening, cleaning a bit of home maintenance, landscaping and gardening (it`s a big garden).

A family home at the end of a valley surrounded by rainforest located between Port Douglas and Mossman.
Perfectly located 15mins to the closest port to visit The Great Barrier Reef.
This would be the perfect place to experience fauna and flora. Lots of birds visit our gardens, wallabies and dingos reside in the valley.
The house is single storey and you would have your own large bedroom with bathroom overlooking our pool.
We can offer van parking space too.
We would love assistance with our garden, weeding, mulching, landscaping and vegie garden.
My husband and I would love to show you our beautiful surroundings.

We prefer a minimum of 1 week stay
If you are outgoing and love animals, clean, tidy, and love a good natter and a giggle, feel free to contact us.

Help wanted for gardening and cleaning up after a build. Ideally a couple happy to lift, carry and wheelbarrow. We have (almost) finished building using recycled materials. We are now landscaping, gardening and generally clearing up after the build.
The property is rural in a land for wildlife area, yet only 15 minutes from the Gold Coast airport, and 10 minutes from Currumbin surf beach.
With the help of some wonderful people on this site, we have transformed second hand materials into a guest cottage, another one bed house, a car port and the snug, a shack which is for your exclusive use. It has a double bed, en suite loo and basin and outdoor (hot) shower, with its own kettle, fridge, kitchen and sitting area etc and itís own wifi. From here itís a great place to watch the stars (the village has a dark sky policy, so there is no light pollution). All meals provided and we often get together with neighbours, play cards or go for a swim in the lovely pool in the ev... more inside

Hi we are a family of three. Huyen is a teacher and Michael works for himself. Ryan is 13. We enjoy meeting nice people. We have a nice granny flat with a nice kitchen and own bathroom. Although our home is centrally located for exploring Brisbane, it is also surrounded by greeneries and birds. We love living here. As it is an old Queenslander home, it needs constant TLC so being handy is helpful. But we are not limited to improving our home, other soft skills that help us improve our life are considered too. Ryan can benefit from a Latin, Japanese, English reading and writing, violin or piano teacher. I would love to up my IT skills and others. We are flexible with work hours as long as you put in an average of 4 hours per day. This also depends on how efficient and skilful you are. Everyone we hosted was different. The more you give the more you will get in return. I will not take more than I give. We look forward to hosting you.

We are an extended family of three generations in a lovely queenslander and cottage easy walking distance from Samford village cafes. We are 6 adults and three kids, 10, 8 and 3, two dogs and 14 chooks, and some wild ducks. You'd be welcomed to be part of our family and share evening meals with us. Other meals are more random around here and we provide the makings you need for breakfast and lunch ó there is always someone here during the day to share a meal of cuppa with. You'll have a lovely airy room with double bed would suit single or couple, access to foxtel wi-fi, pool, tennis court, and petanque (see photo ó thanks to Amandine and Damien). No smoking and alcohol is not an important part of our culture but some of the family sometimes enjoy a glass of wine over dinner. We don't watch much TV here but do enjoy family games together over dinner or after dinner.
We have beginnings of a lovely vegie garden ó thanks to our helpx friends we have five raised garden beds. We have a... more inside

Tropical Island Paradise

We have a Two story house and a large wooden Pirate boat on our property. We are only a 300m walk from the surf beaches, and we are only a couple hours from Brisbane city.

Our house and boat are in need of restoration / renovation. So If you have building/construction skills, consider yourself most welcome.
However, we also have lots of little jobs that suits people with different skills: painting, sanding, planting, garden maintenance, etc.

Please understand, we really dont have any paid work to offer, but can offer a great beach holiday in exchange for a small amount of help.

We only ask for 2 hours of help, per person, per day, in return for accommodation in a private, self-contained unit.

The unit has a large king-sized bed, private bedroom lounge area, kitchen, fridge, shower, toilet, etc, and sleeps 3 people comfortably. Sorry, no TV or WiFi.

The unit is the bottom story of our house.... and its a little rough, but it is lock-able... more inside

I live in a beautiful area on the Sunshine Coast hinterland in the headwaters of the Mary River, not far from Crystal Waters Ecovillage. The forest is diverse from subtropical rainforest to open eucalypt forest. I am an artist and manage my property for its ecological assets. Weed management is a big part of this. I mainly need help with general maintenance and carpentry around my owner-built house. Tasks could include weeding and mulching gardens, brush cutting and mowing, ongoing property and house maintenance which would be according to your skills. I am fairly isolated here so a couple will probably be most comfortable. I am 13 kms from Conondale general store and 22 kms from maleny the nearest village. There is no mobile reception but the is wi-fi. My home is stand alone as far as utilites are concerned so facilities are basic, such as an outside composting toilet and outside shower. Electricity is limited as I have a solar system. I prefer helpers stay 1-2 weeks and I can arra... more inside
