Our names are Mel and Tom - we bought our property in August 2007 and now live as self-sufficiently as possible using all our own produce and preserving many of our crops to use over winter. We’re a family of four - our two boys are aged 14 and 18 and speak fluent French having been here for most of their school lives. Mel is also an artist and there is a studio on site.

We grow completely organic vegetables in our large vegetable garden and polytunnel and have fig trees, a damson plum and a pear tree among others - we’re looking forward to a big crop over the summer months. We grow organic, medicinal herbs which, if you’re interested in this, we can teach you about too. There are also blackberries and elderberries to harvest that grow wild on the property - lovely for jam and jellies!

There is ongoing work in the vegetable garden with weeding, watering and harvesting. At the height of the late summer there will be a lot of processing of tomatoes and other fruit and vegetables... more inside

We are a family of 4 people and we live on a farm in the Loire valley (center East of France). My husband Jean Michel (58) and myself, Odile (52) are farmers and we breed charolais cows in a sustainable way. We have two children, Emmanuel (13) and Marie Eve (8). We have a very friendly dog, and 8 cats, 65 cows and a few hens.
We have a bed and breackfast in our house and we sell product from the farm directly to the customers, mostly meat (and vegetables during spring and summer).

We are looking for 1 or 2 volunteers that could help us 4 hours per day from 2 weeks to a month. We have room for more people, so if you are a family, you are welcome here !

Their tasks would be mostly taking care of the animals (mostly feeding the cows), rebuilding some old fences, choping wood, fixing tools or gardening around the house.
We always have something going on here, anytime of year. Jean Michel and I really like to show the crafts techniques we use to people who are keen to discover... more inside

A great variety of tasks at hand: interior decoration, barn conversion, garden, landscaping, paint jobs, carpentry, making pizza in the old stone oven...We are also looking for people who like to spend a little time with children! And we have two horses and a donkey, who are not technically ours but who live with us. So the choice of what you do will also be yours!

We live in a large and comfortable farmhouse near the medieval city of Poitiers. Many attractions close by: we are 15 minutes from the Vallée des Singes (a huge park with monkeys running free), 1 hour from La Rochelle and the seasid... more inside

We are located in one of the most beautiful places in the Dordogne in France. The park is situated on the top of a hill and has a magnificent view over the valleys with rivers, castles and picturesque French villages. The Dordogne region is one of the most famous regions in France where many people spend their holidays. The region is known for the pleasant climate, the beautiful hilly landscape with extensive vineyards and many tourist spots. The river Dordogne meanders through the landscape and at almost every bend there is again a beautiful panorama, often with authentic castles and other country houses.

We are a family from Holland, Raimond and Marieke (49 & 43) with 2 children (18 & 15), 2 cats and a horse. We are the hosts on the domaine and live in France all year long.

From May till October or a part in this periode we love to find 2 helpers who can help in the kitchen, bar, restaurant, general maintenance, gardening, etc.

Hi, we are Mailys and Joel, and would like to welcome you in our house located about 30km west from Paris.

We offer a private room + private bathroom for 1 or 2 persons in a comfortable and large house, with a nice garden, a fitness room and a garage. The district is extremely quiet, and Versailles and Paris are easily accessible via public transportation (20 / 45 minutes resp.).

The work is most of all flexible and will most likely depend on your skills. Generally speaking, we are interested to get some help on gardening, and general handling of the house.
We expect you to help 3h/day average, but we are quite flexible.
We are definitely looking for cultural exchanges.

In return we provide comfortable accommodation in our house, and WiFi. We have bikes you can use to explore the countryside.

Email us for much more details and pictures. Looking forward to meeting you, Mailys and Joel.

Our farm is 40 hectares of rolling woodland and meadow near the small town of Mirepoix, in Ariège, south-western France. We are developing our farm project and currently have 7 Galloway and 9 Casta cows. Our project involves holding meditational Retreats in which guests are given the opportunity to practice yoga, meditation and silent walks in and around the farm. We are also developing a nature sanctuary on all our land which includes the cows, an orchard, recreating wildflower meadows and creating wildlife ponds and of course, showing love and respect to the original inhabitants - the deer, wild boar, buzzards, lizards and so on.

We have recently featured in a BBC documentary 'The Secret Life of Farm Animals' and also in several well-being magazines such as Happiful, Breathe and Pebble.

The foundation of the farm is quietness. That doesn't mean we don't talk, rather that we are dedicated to allowing this natural quietness guide us in all we do.

Are latest project is to b... more inside
