If you choose to stay with us, you will live in an old priory with foundations dating back to the XIIth century, in the middle of the countryside. Village 2 kms away and small town (Falaise, 10000 inhabitants) 6 kms away.
We can provide a bike. There is a small lake and a wood quite near for nature lovers.

We need help to maintain the property. We have an organic garden and a heated swimming pool where you can swim everyday if you like in Summer.

There is always some maintenance work to be done : housework, painting, weeding, gardening, trimming hedges and trees, moving stuff from the barn (my husband's workshop !).

Accommodation is provided in the main building you have your own room and shower. 3 meals a day. We expect around 4-5 hours work a day in exchange for your food and accommodation. We also expect helpers to help generally with the preparing and clearing up at mealtimes, as you would in a family as well as keeping your room clean and tidy.

Work : 4 to 5 hours a ... more inside

We have a cultural association with exhibitions of painters or sculptors, we have village festivals, Gordes, Roussillon, Menerbes, Lacoste, Bonnieux, the Provencal markets, the fields of lavender, it will be an experience of contact with foreign customers, the opportunity to practice languages and discover how the Provencals live.

Hi Looking for motivated people now ! especially a CARPENTER) to help with barn restoration, 300 yr old farmhouse renovation, as well as forestry clearing, bringing back scrub to pasture and much much more. We are in the french Pyrenees in a beautiful area, we have everything you could ask for in leisure pursuits locally from rock and mountain climbing, to riding, water activities, walking, skiing, etc etc.
We have kit, ie a tractor, digger, chain saws, dogs etc etc.
Apart from people with practical skills we are looking for people who get a buzz out of working on the land and achieving a great days work and enjoying great food.

We have had probably 12-14 volunteers last year, we met some wonderful people who kindly left us 5 "excellent" feedbacks 5 'Very Good' and one "zero" (Don't quite know what happened here)!! Starting in January 2018 we are going to get the garden back into production (we didn't buy a vegetable last year), we have to do some building maintenance and ... more inside

You will be accommodated in a hut. It is situated a few meters away from the small main house on a very raised ground. The ground is a steep slope and comes down towards the river. From the house and the cabin the view on the valley is magnificent.

If you need a restfull retreat, it`s the place to find inspiration.

The house is about 2 km from the nearest small village with a café-épicerie. Ths nearest city, Saint-Hilaire du Harcouët is about 7 km and provides all kind of shops and services and also a famous weekly market on Wednesday morning.

If you are on a hiking, backpacking, cycling, campervan, solarplane tour you can stop by for a short stay.
I speak English but if you want to practice french you are welcome.

During Spring, I`ll need skills around the garden and permaculture methods, at any time you could have to work on small earth-movings, Bucheronage, Gathering the autumn leaves and make compost, Land Art, Plumbing, Joinery, Painting, Music lessons, housework,... more inside

Bonjour!
I am a French teacher and writer and my husband and I bought a little farm some months ago for our 2 horses. We are keeping them in a permaculture way. We are slowly renovating the house and discovering the farming work. We would be very happy to get some help (cleaning the stable, planting trees/ a hedge for the birds, developing the garden...).

We also have a lot to do with old doors which don't shut anymore and such things. It would be great if you could help, but if you cannot it is also ok.

We offer a renovated nice heated bedroom against 2 hours work per day.
French lessons if you like against a little bit more work ;-)

We are in the countryside (next train station 5 kms). We live 40 minutes from Switzerland and Germany in a nice french region (Alsace).

If you are interested, please come for at least a 10 days stay. If we fit together, we would be glad to welcome you for longer ;-)

We need help in June, July and September October for 2 people staying for 3 weeks to 2 months - please get in touch soon if you can - thanks! If you like trekking, marketing or renovation this is for you. We have a trekking business and some apartments in an old farmhouse you could help with. We have bikes you can use and your accommodation will have WIFI.

We are keen on outdoor activities in the process of renovating an old farmhouse which is 20 minutes from the downhill ski resort Ax les Thermes and 3km from Tarascon sur Ariege.

In July, August and September we are running a few supported treks in the Pyrenees and are looking for help from keen mountain walkers or trail runners to help us with food and kit preparation and support the wild camps for this period too. The trek follows an old escape route from France to Spain. We also need help with marketing and design work on an ongoing basis.

We would provide you with cooking facilities, a bed and money to buy food. Y... more inside
