(Due to last minute cancellation !!) June 23 to August 4, 2019! Mature Married Couple to Help Out at a Gorgeous Estate in Brittany, France- Need at least a 4 Week Commitment

We are an American couple who are blessed to own a beautiful historic estate on 181 acres of fields and forest in Brittany, France. (Google Chateau Le Mur for more info about us and the estate.) We occasionally host workshops and Holiday Home-Stays on our property in the summer months. We are looking for a mature couple* to help us out with care-taking, gardening, key holding and help with preparing, greeting, etc. We generally have another couple onsite who will work along side you, and when we can, we are on-site and work along side with everyone and have a lot of fun in the meantime! (Note: ours is not a moneymaking enterprise, we wish we could pay!!!! We take minimal guests, and are just trying to cover some of the costs of taxes and the upkeep of the place and have a good time in the process!!)

We live in a small village in the South of France and are surrounded by vineyards, rural to say the least. As it is a small village, there is a lot of walks to do, and we are near the canal du midi and a local lake. You can just relax and enjoy the countryside, or use a bike and take a country ride. We are looking for some help with basic home maintenance like painting, varnishing and basic repairs. Also some deep cleaning and organizing. A couple would work, or an individual looking for a 2-3 week stay in the South of France. The village is fairly small and a bit out-of-the-way, so transportation is a must, unless you want a zen stay while here and to mingle with the locals (international crowd). We are flexible with scheduling, ask for 20-25 hours per week, the rest of the time is yours, and I don't micro-manage, so independence is a must. You would have a private room And meals, bien sur. We have cats, in and out of the house, so if you have allergies it could be a problem.

The property is near the A64 motorway, 30 minutes from Toulouse - France’s fourth city - with an international airport and TGV train links. It is 8 minutes from Rieux Volvestre and 15 minutes from a train station at Carbonne.

Penny and I are retired medics, who worked for many years in Africa. The ethos of our retirement is described in our website.

Most of the farm is managed by two French farmers, who are our neighbours. Our main activity is running a three gîtes business.

We are looking for people who are able to help with:
- The gîtes business.
- Development of our large garden.
- Pruning of established trees.
- Maintenance of our small vegetable garden.
- Maintenance of a large pond.
- Painting.

We want people in Autumn and Spring, who can work up to 4 hours per day (5 days per week). We can provide self-catering accommodation for 1-2, including breakfast and supper.

I am always happy to welcome one or two people for a few days work, gardening, cutting down and clearing land - heavy work I cannot do myself. If you are travelling through south-west France, please stop by.

I have a beautiful house, overlooking the Lot, upriver from Cahors. This is not a place with a big group of helpers, and I don't want to be with you / look after you all the time, (although I certainly provide all food and wine, and you have your own room en suite.).There is no bar in the village, so unless you are quite happy on your own, this is better for a couple or two friends.

I run singing workshops and circle dance, so if you are musical, this is the place for you.

If you are traveling around here and don't want to work, you can stop over for 15 euros a night.

Hello! We live in an ancient fermette converted into holiday accommodation. The earliest map showing our place was printed in 1750, but the house pre-dates that by at least another 150 years, so it's old! We have 3 gites which are getting more popular as we develop our ideas (some mad, some not so mad) into fruition. We also own a small campsite which is getting more & more popular too..... We get extremely busy in spring and summer, so a stay in July/August is usually out of the question, and we're now steadily taking bookings for 2020 and beyond! So, we (my wife & I) need help with some gardening maintenance, painting, some renovation, fencing, as well as cleaning chores etc. We're a family business, pretty small, but very busy.
There's quiet village life not too far away, (5kms) and lots of countryside. We're pretty rural here, but we have good French friends as well as a few English friends too. Helpers must be up for living in a fairly remote locale, but there's plenty of sco... more inside

Hello, we are a friendly British couple living in an 18thC farmhouse in very beautiful, unspoilt countyside. We aim to live in harmony with our surroundings where we grow organic veg., fruit & nut trees and herb & flower gardens.
Also living with us are 2 friendly dogs and we have free range chickens.
Please note: as we live with animals and a variety of trees and grasses this not a place to visit if you have allergies!
From early July we’d like some help in the garden and general help maintaining our old farmhouse, mainly cleaning and some painting/decorating.
Our nearest town is Marciac, 8 kms away, and is accessible by bicycle and I’m happy to take helpers in by car for example on market days or village fetes.
On days off I can drop you off at the bus stop if necessary so you can explore the area.
This is a very peaceful and beautiful area, ideal for lovers of nature, walkers, cyclists or if you like to practice meditation or yoga.
On selected dates we run resident... more inside
