Lovely Noosa hinterland property. Currently we are a family of three (Mum and 16yo and 18yo) plus four horses and two dogs. Me (Mum) has a full time job as a Sports teacher at a local high school. My daughter is in first year university studying Occupational Therapy and my son is in high school. We are a very friendly and peaceful family who enjoy the opportunity of meeting travellers from overseas and sharing our home with them. We are 15 min to Noosa, a beautiful tourist town with many amazing beaches and the best weather you could hope for. Noosa has many shops, restaurants and any facilities required. We are also 30 min to Maroochydore which has a much larger shopping centre.
Tasks would involve ride-on mowing and general garden and home maintenance, house cleaning, cooking and feeding of animals. These would be flexible depending on the needs and skills of our helper. 3 hours per day would be ideal in exchange for accomodation and meals. Horse riding is available and we have ... more inside

Help wanted for gardening and cleaning up after a build. Ideally a couple happy to lift, carry and wheelbarrow. We have (almost) finished building using recycled materials. We are now landscaping, gardening and generally clearing up after the build.
The property is rural in a land for wildlife area, yet only 15 minutes from the Gold Coast airport, and 10 minutes from Currumbin surf beach.
With the help of some wonderful people on this site, we have transformed second hand materials into a guest cottage, another one bed house, a car port and the snug, a shack which is for your exclusive use. It has a double bed, en suite loo and basin and outdoor (hot) shower, with its own kettle, fridge, kitchen and sitting area etc and it’s own wifi. From here it’s a great place to watch the stars (the village has a dark sky policy, so there is no light pollution). All meals provided and we often get together with neighbours, play cards or go for a swim in the lovely pool in the ev... more inside

We have a beautiful nature property 2.5 hours drive from Cairns. We are situated on the Wild River south west Atherton Tablelands and have a large spring fed dam in front of our house surrounded by bushland which is a sanctuary for abundant birdlife and other native animals. Our location is 26 km past the township of Ravenshoe and 5 minutes drive to Innot Hot Springs. We have a mail order nursery business-Sacred Garden Frangipanis and many fruit trees and fruiting cactus varieties. We are in the process of building an eco-spiritual healing retreat on our property and need assistance with carpentry, stone masonry, general gardening maintenance and odd jobs. We practise yoga, Qigong, sound healing and a few other modalities. There is always somewhere to swim either in the river with sandy beach frontage or in our spring fed dam. We like to share meals with our guests and enjoy cultural exchange.

Our Farm:
We own and operate a small Macadamia Nut farm in Yandina. We are making every effort to be organic, environmental and sustainable, so we are using natural means of soil fertility and remineralisation practices.
We are aiming for semi self sufficiency and creating a green corridor for the many and varied wild life that we have on the property. We have 7 acres of rainforest and 1 km of creek, so there are many nice spots for relaxing and enjoying nature and watching the abundant wild life.

Work:
Harvest starts in April, so we need help preparing the orchard and this year we are going to hand harvest. We have weeding and mulching needed, as well as some construction work. We can be flexible to cater your skills.

2 hours per day:
You supply your own van, and do your own meals and you get to live central on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland in a beautiful rainforest setting.

Kia Ora,

Community Veterinary clinic based in Cooktown. We also fly into indigenous communities throughout Cape York and treat the animals.

We're looking for people to come and visit with a wide range of skills. Visits need to be at least 3-4 weeks and longer if you like it here.

Here's the master list of what's required.

Household help. We are filthy! you will need to clean a room every few days. Thats the boring stuff. If you are happy with a few house jobs then all the rest is easy. Windows, walls, floors and chasing out the enormous spiders and moving the laundry pile around ......actually the spiders are quite small and sweet.

Dull stuff done now for the interesting tasks.

Wildlife rearing (ie feeding baby Quolls, wallabies, owls).

Building skills - We need a new quoll house built for the upcoming season. Babies start arriving from May. They are bottle fed then move to an outdoor area to prepare for release. The Quoll house frame is already up... more inside

We live in Highvale, Qld, which is nestled in the beautiful Samford valley at the foothills of Mt. Nebo and Mt. Glorious with Brisbane city only 35 minutes away (there are buses and trains nearby to get you into town). The area is rural and has lots of National Parks, bush trails, creeks and waterfalls to explore at our doorstep. The ocean is only an hour away.
I run a native propagation nursery and operate a bush regeneration business.
My daughters Lexi (18)and Lucinda (16)live with me full time.
There are plenty of things to help with around here!
If you have experience with horses, our two horses(a mare and a gelding) need to be groomed, fed, watered and exercised. Their paddocks also need maintaining so a willingness to get your hands dirty is essential.
Apart from working with the horses, there are plenty of other choices of what to do both inside and outside (depending on what you're into). Jobs could include propagation of seedlings, planting & weeding in the vegie g... more inside
