Hi,
We, a German/ Australian couple are looking for single people or a couple to help us on our property, which is
108 acres, hill country with granite outcrops and endless views to the horizon.

We have a big open shed with open air lounge, camping kitchen, a Yurt, a caravan and a little house. We are revegetating degraded farmland, terracing an organic vegie garden and working towards a sustainable life style based on permaculture principles. We have a dog, a cat and chickens.
Not being on the grid provides a life very much immersed in the elements. We live simply, honouring all life and would love your help in return for free accommodation, healthy food and the sharing of all we have learned so far. You can also learn a lot about carpentry, survival skills, meditation, yoga, wise water use and -harvest, seed saving.
Work is very variable, depending on season, your capability and the mood of the day. It can be roadwork, gardening, whipper snipping, painting, sowing, wor... more inside

Spring time on an organic farm in the gorgeous southwest of WA is pretty special... if you'd like to come join us during the main planting season send me a message!

We are a small certified Organic orchard growing mostly mandarins/oranges but also growing small scale fruit and vegetables to sell on our roadside cart. Trying to ramp up production and put in a market garden soon!

We are very keen on community building and local food networks so are doing our best to expand the range of local organic foods available by figuring out how to increase farm production while still building soil and increasing biodiversity and environmental health... and the happiness and well being of humans and animals, too. We need help to do this as we haven't enough hands, time, or energy to do all of this important work by ourselves. This year is going to be a big year in improving farm systems and fertility - we are determined! If you'd like to be a part of that then please get in touch!

We n... more inside

We live in town, surrounded by bush and some garden that we share with our dogs and cats. We have 2 properties, one short term accommodation/ guesthouse and our home. They are 2 km distance apart.

The guesthouse provides one of the guestrooms. It comes with breakfast. Work required: painting eaves, gardening, general cleaning, some smaller upgrades in laundry and storage, so handyman skills are necessary. Helpers need to blend in with other guests and have to be tidy. The guesthouse is 2km from the town centre.

Our home provides a caravan for helpers. Bathroom and kitchen are to be shared with us. We are vegetarian! We are located right in town, 2 minute walking distance to the town centre - yet surrounded by bush. Currently we are looking for someone who has experince in plastering.

Vacancies from mid March

We live in a Community that was established as an Incorporated body in 1974 with the ideals of wholesome living. The Community is on common land with individual housing and is semi-self sufficient. It is 2.5 k's from the town and set in a beautiful valley with lots of bush around.
We are 2.5 hours south of Perth, inland. (The coast is 45 minutes to Busselton or Bunbury.)
We have jobs that need doing all year round. Some are seasonal which includes cleaning up ready for fire season, helping with burning off and getting firewood. Gardening/pruning, helping with meals and some cleaning are all year round. If you are skilled in areas like carpentry work, trimming trees, using a whippersnipper or chainsaw these can be done without the help of Martin. Otherwise just helping Martin will be a huge benefit to us.
We have what we call a hermitage which is a pyramid building. It has a tile fire for winter, a small gas stove, double beds. It has bedding (sheets, ... more inside

Currently keen to welcome some helpers for gardening and some daily chores and activities, fencing, painting.

Our family live on a 2500 ha farm 2 hours east of Perth beaches. The farm is 17km east of Northam, our regional town, which has bus and train services to Perth. We have three teenage girls, 1 at boarding school, 2 in Perth. The farm has 1200ha of mixed crops, 6000 sheep and a small cattle herd. Border Collie dogs are used extensively for sheep work and competitive sheepdog trialling.
Help is required all year round. Mostly general help and maintenance on farm, yard, sheds and gardening. There are general farm chores and maintenance and repairs to help with. Exercising and tending 2 ponies and plenty of domestic help and gardening opportunity. There is some carpentry work with some furniture restoration and house maintenance. So depending on what your skills are there are various areas to help out.
We can provide flexible helping arrangements and accommodati... more inside

I am a busy professional female who has a two bedroom house who is requiring assistance of a capable and mature live-in cook & cleaner, female and French. I have lived in France and can speak french so would prefer a French female to stay. No men.

I have a demanding job and would like some help to get everything done during the week, so if you are a mature traveller who is sick of staying in hostels, can cook and likes a tidy and quiet house then this could be for you!

In exchange for no accomodation, you would be expected to complete duties such as cleaning, cooking, grocery shopping, errands, gardening and washing clothes. I would require you to contribute to food and maybe some bills, depending on use.

My house is small, modern and comfortable, with a small garden and is walking distance from the main street of Albany.

Would welcome a traveller who is keen to visit Albany for around two months, with a possibility of extension.

In addition to assisting me with... more inside

Hello! We are a family of four, Nat & Mike plus our two teenage kids, Georgia & Josh. We have a farm 30 minutes drive from Albany with cattle & horses (plus our cat!) We have lots of general work to do around the house and farm and need some help to get things done! We are looking for an individual or couple to come and stay with us and work a couple of hours a day (or 2 full days a week) in exchange for accomodation and use of one of our cars. You will have your own accomodation, separate from the main house, set in its own 11 acres with awesome views and the sound of kookaburras in the evening to keep you company! The accomodation has its own toilet, bath & shower, double bed (plus bunk bed), kitchenette and lounge with tv. In the nearby area there are many amazing beaches to explore, the Stirling ranges for great hikes & the city of Albany with many shops & cafes. If you fancy a peaceful farm getaway in the south west, we are the place for you!
