We have a large 5 bedroom house about 18 miles from the centre of Glasgow and 30 miles from Edinburgh.

We are a happy couple in our 50's. I work from the house on the internet. My partner works in Glasgow and from home too. We now have two very energetic, playful young cats, Mylo and Phoebe.

In Spring 2018 we will need help to tidy up and plant the garden area around the house (light gardening). General Pruning, weeding (never ending) and replanting. Pressure washing the driveway and the decking.

The house is in good order and well kept but we have some internal DIY we just don't get round to - painting, some light carpentry. I always like help with general housework, window cleaning, ironing etc.

We also have a large garage and a store room that often requires a tidy up and some organising.

If you have office administration or project management skills, can do some graphic design and help with social media, Instagram, video creation and editing and understand You... more inside

**CURRENT VACANCIES. We have not had any helpers in 2018 but we're now looking for someone to join us in September to help us in the house and garden. We're ideally looking for a helper with some previous experience of gardening and/or carrying out repairs/maintenance jobs. However, the main requirement is plenty of energy and enthusiasm as our garden has become a bit overgrown this year. The work will be physically demanding as we have heavy clay soil and a lot of weeds but it will be rewarding and, we hope, enjoyable. We hope the weather will be good in September but it's never guaranteed in England so you will need to not mind working outdoors in all weather and to bring suitable waterproof clothing and footwear. NB you MUST be at least 20 and have at least some relevant experience of outdoor physical work.

We live in a beautiful rural hillside location in South Shropshire, we are a mile from the nearest lane yet only 7 miles from the lovely historic town of Ludlow. We have st... more inside

We urgently need someone to help in our community garden. Must like dogs. Can you help?

Coupar Angus is a small town in the heart of the beautiful Vale of Strathmore in Perthshire. Our group has e developed four Community Growing Areas and we produce vegetables for our town. Help is required to develop the areas as well as to plant, tend, harvest and sell, though local outlets, our locally grown vegetables. We need someone to help us in the garden.

We also run a cycling project (cycle training/ mechanics/ retail), a local vegetables and local crafts shop (the High Street Store), undertake various environmental projects around the town and publish the local news letter. We run a service offering energy saving advice to local residents. We can offer work in all of these areas. Accommodation is in our family home where you will have a room of your own. We will supply all meals.

We’re looking for help anytime between October and December 2018. Most of the work is in the garden (pruning bushes, coppicing trees etc). We are also constructing a wooden cabin in the garden, so anyone with DIY skills would be most welcome. Plenty of work inside too if the weather is bad (painting / decorating etc). Our family home is on the beautiful west coast of Scotland, overlooking Loch Broom, on the outskirts of Ullapool. In the summer, we run a small B&B from home. You will live with our family (we have 3 young children) , eat meals together etc., so plenty of opportunities to practise English (if not your first language) and experience life in the Highlands of Scotland. The area is rich in history, with many beautiful and fascinating places to visit. Ullapool also has a thriving arts community, with galleries and music nights (both traditional and modern). During the winter we can offer you your own room with wi-fi, loch view, TV and private bathroom. Ideally suited to ... more inside

This is a quirky home set in a 19th century church in the mountain village of Capel Curig in Snowdonia National Park. The property is divided into two homes and the main house is let out to self catering groups.

Travellers can enjoy fantastic hiking, climbing and mountain biking in the surrounding countryside and when at home they can chill in a lovely space and occasionally go in the hot tub or play table tennis or pool beneath a fabulous 19th century mosaic ceiling? The church is right in the middle of the Snowdonia's mountains so is a great place to stay in exchange for help!

I am looking for someone to help out approx 30 hours per week; the main jobs will be cleaning rooms, ironing, washing, cooking, dog walking etc.. but my partner is a photographer and occasionally needs an assistant on a job. Occasionally we have noisy groups in and this can be annoying.

Obviously its also a family home, with all the toys, pets and friends that that involves. You are likely to be ... more inside
