Property with great views over Bream Bay, bush backdrop, rural. Road connects with Te Araroa Trail. Chores could include weedwacking, mowing, weeding, pruning to cleaning house, windows, painting, taking dog for walk, riding our horse. We have an interesting retail shop selling retro furniture and clothing. Both my husband and I work full time therefore will not be at home during the day most of the time. LIFE'S BEST OUT WEST!
Hello

My 2 acre lifestyle property is situated 3ks from Baylys Beach, west across the Kaipara region, or west of Whangarei in Northland. It is also accessible from the North following the West Coast through Rawene and Hokianga.

The nearest town is Dargaville (10 mins). It is a bustling rural town with many shops, cafes, cinema, museum, restaurants, library, galleries, river walks, gardens etc

There is no public transport from Dargaville to Baylys Beach so it's best to have a vehicle so you can explore the area or hitch hike. There is much to see and do.

There is a bus called the West Coaster that leaves from The Hub in Whangarei to Dargaville Monday through Friday. 10.20am (arrives 11.20) Second bus leaves 4.20pm (arrives 5.20). Returning to Whangarei from Dargaville 7.30am or 12.30pm. I am happy to pick helpers up from Dargaville.

I'm developing a wetlands native tree planting project and several other gardens, attacking blackberry plants, s... more inside

Kia ora.

I retired recently and moved to Haruru. 4km from Paihia and 20km from Kerikeri, surrounded by regenerating bush & mangrove estuary, it's private & very peaceful with lots of joyful tuis. There is a small view of the bay with Russell in the distance.

The large property was very neglected. The house has now had considerable tender loving care, just a little more to go! I am almost ready to list the self-contained downstairs area on AirBnB but still need help with tidying up the grounds.

I find the 4 hours work/day in exchange for food & board works well but I can be flexible about when the work is done ie if you want to accumulate hours to have a free day. There is no minimum timeframe to stay.

There is a bedroom for you, WiFi & a spare bike. Smoking outside only. If you don't have transport, I can easily pick you up from Paihia.

The Bay of Islands & the Far North is very beautiful, so much to see & do. The harbour is just at the end of the road & we may ... more inside

Hi and welcome to our eco project. We have moved on to our land at Waipu Caves and intend to establish a retreat centre over time - a supportive refuge for self discovery and healing through a deep connection with nature.

Set amongst the majestic limestone formations and sacred underground passageways of Waipu Caves, the property rests on 14 hectares of native bush and pasture. The huge limestone cave system covers some four square kilometres and is home to millions of glow worms adorning the cavernous ceilings and freshwater koura in the chilly pools below.

Our project is just beginning. This summer we will start making our dream a reality

So far we have set up a base camp based around our caravan. We’ve solar power, a basic water system and the gardens are under way. Our next job is to build a small cottage from recycled materials.

There are a multitude of different task we need help with and your help would be greatly appreciated.

You will enjoy the Northland sum... more inside

Kia ora! We are now mostly weeding, mulching, planting, and weed-eating. We are also needing to finish painting a small shed and possibly some building activities. We need helpers who have this experience and can work independently and able to use their own initiative :)

You would need to enjoy the outdoors, not put off by a little rain or hot/cold weather.

We are also looking for help around the house, cleaning, maintaining our airbnb room, weeding small gardens, cooking and occasionally looking after our boy.

Our beautiful home in magical Mangawhai has wide rural valley views and a short 7min drive to pristine beaches and the village centre. Our main luxury room has a king size bed and ensuite, a Smart TV and free wifi. It has it's own entrance and table for dining or laptop provides you with privacy and space for work or relaxation. We have another lovely room available if our main airbnb room is booked.

We ask for 4 hours work per person per day for 3 meals a day... more inside

Kia ora!!

We're Whare, Laura (early 30s) and River (4) and we live in a simple off-grid cabin in the bush with our two kelpie dogs - Booker and Cheetah.

We have an established orchard, veggie gardens and about 10 acres of pasture, as well as lots of native bush with streams and a small swimming hole to cool off in the summer.

Work around the property could include garden/orchard work, farm jobs, building projects and helping out with River (who is pretty easy going). Laura works full time from home and Whare looks after River.

The accommodation provided is a caravan with a queen bed, cooking facilities and a small wood stove. We lived and traveled around NZ is this old girl for 2 years and she's super cozy. The shower, toilet (compost loo) and laundry are shared with us, but are separate from the main house. Grey water is recycled to irrigate trees etc, so we ask that you be super mindful of what goes down the plug hole (preferably only natural/biodegradable etc... i... more inside

Warm greetings!

We are working with brick edges at the moment and painting and always building structures. Looking to create beauty and we welcome your contribution and inspirations.

Would you like to come and play by the beach, live in our happy hut or skate shack caravan overlooking the ocean at Waipu cove. Work flexy hours, go to the caves, surf even take our sea kayaks out. The Waipu cafe is a nice chill place too!

Looking for people to help us with our dream to create a place for people to come, to plant, to learn, to create and to care for the earth.

Us!
We are a creative couple in our 50s. I am an arts educator and Dougy restores houses and is a muso. We love to travel, surf and hang out on our piece of land where we are slowly developing a permaculture garden and place where people can come to share the beautiful nature and ocean here.

Dougy and I are very laid back. We both work so would appreciate a little help. Our helpex travelers become like... more inside

We are a family of 5, living in the Far North of New Zealand. Our family is Jess, Mike, Lauaki (5), Pippen (3.5) and Arlo (2). Mike works 5 days a week and I (Jess) stay home with our kids and run a small business making beeswax food wraps to sell online and at the Artisan Market in Whangarei.

We have just over 11ha of mainly bush on our property and a couple of paddocks which are currently eaten by our 2 pet goats and 2 Kune Kune pigs. We would love some helpers to maintain our property- weeding, lawn mowing, general house maintenance and animal care (moving them, feeding and watering troughs).

We live a 15 minute drive to the township of Kaeo where you will find a small supermarket, petrol stations, cafe, indian restaurant library and chemist. We are also 15minutes from the beautiful Whangaroa Harbour and the beautiful coastline full of secluded beaches. Drive for 30 minutes in either direction and you are in Doubtless Bay or Keri Keri.

During your spare time take a dip in... more inside
