We are doing general maintenance, painting, gardening and renovations on our property at the moment and would love some help for about a week between now and the end of June. Over the years, we have had many helpers from wwoof nz stay with us. We enjoy the exchange and getting to spend time with people from different walks in life.

Our home is on an 8 acre avocado orchard. We offer meals and accommodation in exchange for your help..... as well as all the avocados you can eat!!! The accommodation is in a sleep out separate to the house so helpers have a bit of space and privacy. We are happy to pick you up from Kaiwaka or Wellsford if you are travelling by bus.

We are preparing our house to rent as we are going to live on the south island for a few years which is exciting for us!

Mangawhai is a popular holiday spot with lots on offer. We live a short drive from some stunning surf beaches, markets, shops and cafes.

We would love to hear from you!

Hi there travellers. I am a single dad that works full time in the building industry. What I am seeking here is someone that can babysit/Nanny my girls (aged 10&12) when they get home from school and clean. Cooking skills would be great but I'm happy to cook too, but would love to try something new from another country. I'm pretty easy going and chilled and enjoy a beer or wine after work.
Note...I would prefer woman as I don't really want random men around my girls.
If your keen to experience a small town in New Zealand and are happy to look after kids after school hours, clean etc then flick me an email or message.
There is a car available for you use.

Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards Chad

Kia ora!!

We're Whare, Laura (early 30s) and River (4) and we live in a simple off-grid cabin in the bush with our two kelpie dogs - Booker and Cheetah.

We have an established orchard, veggie gardens and about 10 acres of pasture, as well as lots of native bush with streams and a small swimming hole to cool off in the summer.

Work around the property could include garden/orchard work, farm jobs, building projects and helping out with River (who is pretty easy going). Laura works full time from home and Whare looks after River.

The accommodation provided is a caravan with a queen bed, cooking facilities and a small wood stove. We lived and traveled around NZ is this old girl for 2 years and she's super cozy. The shower, toilet (compost loo) and laundry are shared with us, but are separate from the main house. Grey water is recycled to irrigate trees etc, so we ask that you be super mindful of what goes down the plug hole (preferably only natural/biodegradable etc... i... more inside

**free now and would love helpers for around a week or so

Hello! Rolf and I are two working people who are starting an avocado orchard. We have a large veggie garden and 14ha property. We are seeking help with developing the orchard, tending the trees, land and garden. We have a warm and cosy cabin. It is private, and has a deck.

The guest cabin is near the main building which is a shared space and helpers have full use of all facilities (WiFi included). Happy to share the cooking, it would be so nice to try some new dishes! There is internet at the house, and excellent cell phone coverage.

The guest cabin has recently gained power, and has light, and a 2x USB chargers. There is a queen bed, so as long as two peole don't mind sharing then it's suitable for two. Space for storing clothes and belongings as well. Lovely outlook onto wide open views. Keen for helpers that like to socialise and have outdoor adventures as Rolf and I enjoy the spoils of the Northland environ... more inside

Our home is 5 acres located in the country between Dargaville New Zealand and the Waipoua Forest near the Tasman Sea Coast. We are about 3 and half hours north of Auckland.

We have been HelpX volunteers ourselves. When on our sailboat in Malaysia we have been hosts. Please read the volunteer feedback. We would be working with you on projects involving carpentry, bush clearing, gardening, painting, etc.

You would be in a private sleepout with wifi and excellent electrical plugin capability.

When not working, we enjoy sharing our area, the Waipoua and Trounson Park Kauri Forest. The beautiful beach at Manganui Bluff on the Tasman. The incredible Kai Iwi Lakes. Excellent hiking areas. Having your own transportation Is necessary. We are 32km from Dargaville, which is the nearest town. Population 4800.

I'm Jeff and moved from California to NZ over 30 years ago to establish my horticulture business based on organic principles. I have NZ's largest daylily nursery and send plants all over NZ. I also have a 150-tree avocado orchard and sell produce at the local farmers market. Other trees are walnut, macadamia, citrus, apples, plums, feijoas and we also grow all our vegetables so are almost self sufficient.

Wewould love help with gardening and general maintenance around the orchard and house. We are now in the process of establishing some more vegetable beds.
We are looking for someone to help us create more garden beds and also help with spraying ( organic ) the trees ready for next season and some wood cutting, mulching and minor building work would be helpful too.
You will stay in the self contained small cottage in the garden with solar panels and composting toilet .Your own transport is preferred as we live in the country and beautiful beaches and walks are close by but... more inside

General help required. Extensive flower gardens and vegetable gardens that need tending around the property. We have a variety of work so no one day will be the same as another, there are jobs you can do on fine days and rainy days. Work around the property of various sorts, gardens and general housework etc. We are not organic but try to grow our own vegetables, fruit etc without any spray, free range hens. We are happy for couples to come and work on our property. 2 separate bedrooms one with a double bed and one with two king single beds. There is a shared bathroom in the guests area. Free accommodation and evening meal provided in exchange for 4 hours work each day by all persons staying. Non smokers please. We are in a rural situation so your own transport would be desirable.

You can self isolate here.
I have a 10msq self contained unit that needs finishing with taps, shower and toilet water hooked up. Drainage plumbing was done by plumber.
It also needs lining. Warm and sunny.

There is a single bed, that can become a double.
Small so best for one person in isolation unless you have a camper. Basic cooking, outside toilet and shower available until internals complete.
Peaceful spot, enquiries welcome - phone is best.
