Macadamia growing and processing. Nut harvesting and dehusking finished for this season, other farm work which is generally relatively light still going on. Garden is always in need of attention. Gutters need cleaning! Restoration of a 1936 Alvis car with wooden framed body with steel skin, making slow progress. As well as 400 mature Macadamia trees there are three adult kunekune pigs, and two talkative young piglets, three sheep and some clucky Bantam hens. 4 hours help per day, very relaxed atmosphere. we prefer people who have at least 5 years life experience since leaving school. Our guide dog Yasmin has now graduated and is assisting a blind person and we are very proud of her. We are retired health professionals and enjoy lots of good conversation at the dinner table! Bombay and Pukekohe within walking distance for energetic walkers, otherwise, own transport is an advantage, easy access to Auckland exists via trains from Pukekohe.

This is ideal for someone who would enjoy the social and cultural buzz of the city within easy walking distance, while also being close to two charming harbour beaches and some great walks. It’s a good arrangement for you if you value your own private space whenever you want it, but also enjoy a stimulating environment.
Our comfortable inner city 108 year old Victorian villa is a two minute walk to Ponsonby Road. Accommodation is self-contained (see guest room photos), with your own separate entrance, private veranda, generous double bed, kitchenette with microwave, toaster and small fridge, dining table/desk, laundry machine and en suite bathroom/toilet. Free wifi (within reason!)

Because we’re on an unusually wide section for a city house, we have dedicated space for a traditional herb garden that our neighbours can also enjoy,a tree viewing platform and raised beds for an organic kitchen garden.Kind of like the country comes to town!

At this time, we'd be particularly ... more inside

We grow palms and landscape plants as well as running a landscape business. We have 7 hectares of land and there is always a lot to do. We have cabins with self catering kitchen and bathroom nestled amongst the palms plus a caravan for helpers to stay in. We have a 15 year old son who is mad keen on cars and basketball, plus three Schnauzer dogs.

We are looking for help mainly with landscaping i.e digging holes planting trees, weeding, bagging up plants, putting posts in the ground etc for around 4 hours a day. We are flexible if you want to mix it up and have day trips. We provide all food, however we generally leave you to organise your own breakfast and then prepare lunch and dinners to eat with us.

Due to the nature of the work we prefer guys or couples.

Although we are a rural property we are in the heart of Auckland so you get the City and Country life and a base to explore the greater region with many beach's close by.

In the evenings Helpers can play pool, have... more inside

Come live with us in luxury!

Big modern house with an amazing view and a swimming pool. You have your own complete floor of the house looking out at the sea with a big luxury bed, and a home gym.

Note that it's out in the country though so suits nature/beach/sports lovers more than city social types - there's some local socialising but it's pretty rural.

We're an outgoing sociable couple (age 35 & 41 but still pretty young habits) with two mostly very well behaved daughters (1 & 3 years old)

Julie is German, Rob is kiwi, we're both professionals who've traveled and partied a bit in our day (parent life is a lot more home focused tho). Rob surfs & kites & we both snowboard.

We're looking for a 'high energy' single female (preferred), or a couple, who speak good English & love getting up at 6am (this is a must), living in a nice clean house, cooking and looking after kids.

Optimal if you have your own car, but at need least a driver's license.

Lovely Lifestyle property with horses centrally located and close to Auckland with quick access to the motorway and a walk to the quaint Pokeno Village.
Lifestyle maintenance jobs such as planting, clearing, weedspraying, general maintenance needing to be done. Must be able to use a weedeater/weed whacker, etc.
All meals provided. Wifi. Lovely Swimming pool and bbq area. At the moment our house is full as we have a long staying guest. However if you have your own campervan and are happy to sleep in that but have access to all our facilities that would work well. Beaches and the Waikato River close by. Only 4 hours per day of work and this can be flexible if needed. Trips into the city or to the train station can be arranged. We love to mountain bike and have spare bikes. Our HelpX visitors have had great fun helping out on our small farm, riding our horses and mountain biking and we love to listen to all your adventures!

Life style block used mainly for horses. We are located in Waimauku near Muriwai beach 30 minutes outside of Auckland, and 10 minutes from Muriwai Beach. We prefer two people who travel together. A couple (male and female) is perfect. Our helpers have a private fully equiped sleep out in our traditional “Kiwi Round Barn”. There is a loft with a queen sized bed, bathroom with shower and toilet, and a kitchenette with cooking equipment and a fridge. There are also a couple of couches and entertainment items. It is quite clean and cozy.
We provide food for your stay which is purchased to meet with your eating tastes and cooking styles.
For the room and facilities we expect our helpers to put in a five hour day doing various chores typical to a farm stay. Having said that; for those who would prefer to work less hours and play longer a day: buy your own food and work three hours a day.
A life style farm such as our requires a plethora of maintenance jobs, from animal care to weed r... more inside

We have a lovely 20 acre property and a beautiful contemporary home that we need some help with from the 9th October. We have a swimming pool (still a bit cool!) and a big garden. If you like working outside and you have skills in carpentry, landscaping or gardening then you are ideal. If you like to cook even better! We are starting a new project and need helpers to work alongside us for a week or two to help with, building a new vegetable garden, doing some planting and weeding, paddock work and general tidying up for spring. We are friendly people and have travelled a lot, we just got back from volunteering in Tanzania for 2 months which is why we have so much to do on our property!

We have sheep, 2 horses, 2 dogs and a cat!

We are 20 minutes south east of Auckland International Airport close to a lovely rural village, called Clevedon, not far from beaches, a farmers market, vineyards and bush walks. it is 35 km to Auckland central.

There is no public transport bu... more inside
