Kia ora and welcome to our whanau (family). We live in a large house with a large garden and swimming pool with incredible sun and views over Auckland city. The garden really needs your love and attention which mostly be pruning, weeding and a bit of digging. There`s some inside jobs too if its raining plus you could help with cooking if thats your thing. We are an extended family living here with our small dog, chickens and worms. We are a busy vibrant whanau with two school age children. The property is guided using permaculture and bio-dynamic principles. We are 10 mins walk to Glen Eden village and to the train station (the western line), and we are close to the Waitakere Ranges and beaches.
There is a double bedroom with ensuite available.

Please note there is a RAHUI (prohibited access) on the Waitakere Bush walks at the present time to protect our native bush from a disease spreading that is killing our native Kauri tree - all of us need to respect this :-).

"I'm able to have helpxpeople most of the year-so just check with me!"

Hi there, I'm Janet the planet. I'm an eccentric over the hill fun woman who needs help in her over grown garden and around the home. I love to cook and my inspirations are drawn from my Russian/Jewish heritage. I enjoy all kids of music, especially Jazz. The guest room sleeps 3, 2 on a double bed and one on a single bed. It is a large room with it's own heat pump/air conditioning. The house is a large 3 bedroom situated in Glendowie. The house has a cute garden and a large deck plus outdoor BBQ, 30 mins to CBD by bus which is within a 100 metre walk. Urban beaches and small forest walks are all around! I have a beautiful King Charles spaniel/shitzu cross-hokey pokey who needs walking & a very naughty cat-Motza! The house is drug free and smoking is okay if outside.
Need help over xmas.

We require help in the gardens/paddocks for a week or two, it's mostly hand weeding, pruning, sweeping leaves, cleaning the swimming pool and maybe some housework. Experience with garden tools (lawn mower)useful, and experience with a chainsaw/scrub cutter is useful but is not essential. Sorry, we don't have time to teach, so experience in at least some of these areas is necessary. It's important you can distinguish a plant from a weed, as much of the work is hand-weeding around the flower gardens. There is also some housework, like helping in the kitchen, cleaning and dusting/vacuuming/polishing if weather is too bad for gardening.
Apart from the work there are plenty of local activities and amenities like surf beaches, vineyards, bush walks, trail bike riding, etc:
We are in a country area (vineyards, orchards, market gardens) with well-equipped village nearby but only 20 mins drive from Auckland city, the East Coast (safe, sandy) and West Coast (wild, surfing) bea... more inside

We are a french family, Aurelie, Matthieu, Pia 2yo and Irčne 4yo and have been living in our house for more than 3 years.
Our very sunny house is quite big, 6 rooms and has a deck with harbour views.

It is located near Hillsborough bay, 40 mn by bus to the CBD. The neighbourhood is very calm, offers many bushwalks opportunities in nearby reserves and along the coast. Shops and train station can be found in Onehunga.

The garden is huge and turns into a jungle really quickly; too quickly for us. Great native trees and birds live here. We also have a veggie garden.

We need someone to help us managing this piece of land; skills in landscaping would be really appreciated.

In return of a room, shared bathroom, breakfast and dinner, wifi, we ask for 4 hours per day work on the garden and eventually a bit of help for household duties. We are willing to have only one person at a time.

We are an easy going family and we like sharing time and chat with our guests. We manage ... more inside

This is for someone who is interested to stay for a short period of work-accommodation exchange to provide cleaning and one or two small DIY tasks such as painting or picture hanging. The guest room is currently on Airbnb.

The room is in my downtown apartment which has southeast and west facing views and private access to a small outdoor balcony. There is a tepid lane swimming pool in the building, which is available for my guest to use during their free time. The gym has a casual rate payable on each visit.

Note: new furnishings are in the guest room and so my guest needs to be someone who can take very good care of other's belongings and home contents.

Genuine enquiries only please, for a mature reciprocal arrangement of your work for accommodation with breakfast only; this exchange is for 4 hours of work.

This is a good location to begin, finish and reorient for travelling over New Zealand or away.

Currently looking for helpers for up to a week end June or first week in July to assist with gardening and landscaping and possibly some inside cleaning.
We are unable to accept bookings for any other time at this stage.

We are a couple in our early 50's living on a private and serene native bush block in the beautiful Waitakere Ranges in West Auckland. Close to the rugged black sand beaches on the West Coast and some wonderful walking tracks and tramps in the ranges ranging from very easy to challenging.

Leeanne works 4 days a week in the city, and Tony is a builder working from his home office. We have been living in our home on the top of a ridge overlooking a Manuka (Native tree) clad valley for the past three years and we need help mainly with outdoors work, landscaping, gardening and weeding.

The property is a challenge as it is steep, so you will need to be healthy, fit and willing person or couple as the work can be physical.

If it's wet we have a little bit o... more inside

Macadamia growing and processing. Nut harvesting and dehusking finished for this season, other farm work which is generally relatively light still going on. Garden is always in need of attention. Gutters need cleaning! Restoration of a 1936 Alvis car with wooden framed body with steel skin, making slow progress. As well as 400 mature Macadamia trees there are three adult kunekune pigs, and two talkative young piglets, three sheep and some clucky Bantam hens. 4 hours help per day, very relaxed atmosphere. we prefer people who have at least 5 years life experience since leaving school. Our guide dog Yasmin has now graduated and is assisting a blind person and we are very proud of her. We are retired health professionals and enjoy lots of good conversation at the dinner table! Bombay and Pukekohe within walking distance for energetic walkers, otherwise, own transport is an advantage, easy access to Auckland exists via trains from Pukekohe.
