11th February 2020 Hello travellers...We have space in mid February for a couple of helpx people (non-smoking/vaping) to help us develop our beautiful permaculture garden and homesteading project in Titirangi on the rainforest edge of Auckland... Tasks will vary and be mostly outside in a very beautiful garden. There is a beach just a 2 minute stroll through a forest pathway. We need help with general house maintenance, gardening, permaculture style and organic, some possible construction work , firewood or painting. The accommodation is in a separate new studio structure in the garden so you will have some privacy. I will provide accommodation, free wifi, and one main meal per day in exchange for 3 hours help exchange. I would especially like people who have construction skills or design skills and or who are interested in architecture, permaculture, biodynamics or organic gardening but anyone strong and enthusiastic for living close to nature would be great.

We are on a lifestyle block 30mins out of Auckland city, but do have a number of shopping centres within a 2km radius to around 10km radius for your convenience.
Our aim is to host and have motivated individuals to come and help, as my husband works in the city and I work part time at a local business so we would love extra help with gardens and property maintainence would be greatly appreciated. If you have farming skills this would be a great asset as there is always something that needs to be done there eg fencing and fence maintenance, chainsawing (only for those with a lot of experience) :-) and garden work as we have a large beautiful garden.

We have 2 horses one which is my riding horse and the other my old retired mare who would love to get some
Attention with grooming and a big of TLC.
We also have 2 cats and two dogs.

Our two sons aged 16 and 13 love to interact with our helpx, so child and animal friendly is imperative. If you love cooking and baking my young... more inside

We are a friendly household with a bit of a chaotic lifestyle at times but are very welcoming and flexible and really enjoy meeting people from other countries. We are an older couple with adult children who live separately on our property with their new baby and two year old son. There are cats, chickens, a pony and a rather neglected vegetable garden. We are currently not able to do much maintenance around our property so would really value your help! I am just becoming more mobile again after breaking my hip late last year. My husband has a physical disability which means he can't do a lot of physical tasks. We would greatly appreciate help right now with some general maintenance including gardening, firewood and household/backyard tasks. Experience in using a weed-eater and a chainsaw would be very useful.

We ask for up to four hours a day help per person. We are flexible about hours and fine if you want to work one full day and spend another day exploring our beautiful coast... more inside

We live in the historic village of Puhoi, which is just north of Auckland. Our house is is a short walk to the small village centre of Puhoi. Many beaches are nearby, there is the famous Puhoi pub and the village is on the Te Araroa trail.
We are currently looking for someone who would like to do some gardening, waterblasting, sanding and painting, and other practical building types of work if you have the skills.

If you havent got your own transport, the public bus from Auckland city will take you as far as Silverdale or Waiwera, from there we can make possible arrangements to pick you up. The Intercity and Mana buses drop you on the main highway and it is a 1 klm walk to the village. We have a car park space also.

My wife and I built our house out of non toxic materials 30 years ago on a small lifestyle property. We have vegetable and flower gardens which we manage under organic principals, and are currently renovating a small Kauri cottage onsite. Any s... more inside
