Welcome to Si and Jimmy's!

We are looking for helpers at least 22 years old.

We live on a 260 hectare farm on the coast south of Raglan. We have large vege-gardens, growing fruit-trees and shelter and the property leads down onto the beach.

We are gay / queer but straight friendly... ;-)

We look out across the ocean, across the Aotea and Kawhia harbour entrances and down towards Mt Taranaki.

The house is beautiful but a work in progress (so building skills always valued), an outdoor fire/bush bath, and outdoor garden shower aswell as indoors, composting toilet, house powered by PV/Solar, sound-system and well stocked book-shelves. We have cattle, a sheep, and two dogs.

I may not always have time to show you around, as I am usually busy working away but you will enjoy the area's natural beauty. There is wild coastline nearby, you can walk there from the house, almost no people around here. Bushwalking, tramping, cycling, hitchhiking, you can do a lot here. There is... more inside

Hi...
We are a farming family based in the South Waikato on a dairy cow farm in Tirau.

We are looking for 2 friends or a couple who can help out with some gardening and painting a fence & deck for 4 days

A large bedroom with queen size bed and single bed in our family home will be provided along with meals in exchange for 4hrs work per day. We have wifi.

Our farm is very central to everything, 2 hours from Auckland Airport and 45 minutes to rotorua/tauranga and 30mins to Hamilton. We are also very close to Hobbiton filming location.

We have 2 girls aged 7 and 8 who are great fun, also 1 dog and 2 cats.

Would love to hear from anyone who is interested to come and stay in a farming family.

Having your own car would be an advantage.

Look forward to meeting you.

*****Spring cleaning to do on house - washing walls, water blasting, painting, labouring and firewood. 1 week min. I need helpers who are self motivated and really want to be part of our family. That includes chores - folding washing, helping with lunch and most importantly doing the mountain of dishes I seem to make whilst cooking.
Own transport vital. We are very handy to Auckland, so a great first stop! This is handy to the airport and a great place to start planning or ending your trip in NZ.We are 30 mins from a surf beach and just over an hours drive to Raglan or the Coromandel. This is a really handy location to almost anywhere in the central northern part of the north island. In return for great food and accommodation we are looking for motivated helpers who also do dishes! We have firewood to cut, houses to wash, painting to do and spring cleaning of houses (washing walls etc)

We’re looking for help now.

We need help doing a wide range of tasks from cleaning windows, mowing, gardening, cooking and painting. In exchange we will provide meals and your own room, with shared bathroom and shower.

You’ll be able to learn to milk cows if you're interested. We live on a 500 cow dairy farm, 5 minutes drive to Te Awamutu, and 40 mins to Waitomo Caves and 50 minutes to Hobbiton.

Having travelled ourselves, Michael and I love meeting like minded travellers, and welcoming them into our home. While staying with us you can enjoy experiencing rural life in NZ. You’ll get to meet Bella and Bertie our resident pet goats. Our free range hens (with their free range laying habits). Boots, our 14 year old cat who loves attention. Phoebe and Charlie, our nearly fully grown kittens (who love cuddles). You can try your hand at beekeeping as we have our own beehives. My German partner and I (a kiwi) would love to share our beautiful 1903 home, (NZ classic architecture of this time), with some willing helpers.

We are a couple in our 40s and enjoy socialising. My son who is 26 is at home for a short time from university. So we are a happy family of 3 adults. Holly travels a lot for work, so wont be guaranteed to be here during your stay.

We try and have a healthy lifestyle, we have free range chicken, raise our own meat, have veggie gardens, fruit trees etc, and soon hope to milk our house cow, who has a new very sweet calf.

We have a lot of animals on our small farm including a pet peacock for entertainment! Sorry but the horses in the photo aren't here anymore.

We expect around four hours work per person, per day you stay as an exchange, plus participation at meal times. We are flexible as to when you to do your work, and try to offer a variety of jobs to suit what you enjoy doing or want to learn about.
Jobs can incl... more inside
