We have moved our operations to Sandspit on 20 November 2015 - under the new badge of Sandspit Lodge, a smaller property than Coatesville, but with four B&B rooms available within the main house. This 1 1/2 acre property contains 40 productive J5 and Koroneiki olive trees, some Grosso French lavender and Pacific Blue English lavender, ex Coatesville, as well as a lovely 3-tier orchard and loads of citrus trees.

The views over the Sandspit Harbour are simply stunning!

We are seeking one Helper to assist with the B&B activities and gardening over the spring and summer season which is promising to be very busy.

We are seeking the help of strong young Help-Xers now! Prefer someone who knows how to iron sheets!

Please be aware that there are smokers in our household, so if you have a strong aversion to smoking, please do not apply!

With fairly heavy bookings in the near future, we need help with the B&B. Mainly guest room maintenance, laundry, ironing, and associat... more inside

*** We are currently looking for people to help out in the garden ***

We have a lifestyle block 2.5 km from Warkworth town with 3 children, 6 pet sheep, 3 lambs, 3 cats and 4 chickens. The property has a small vineyard, olive trees, native bush and a view of the Mahurangi river.

Warkworth and surrounds is a lovely area full of beautiful beaches, vineyards, cafes, galleries etc.

We offer accommodation, meals and sightseeing in return for general gardening and housework. Depending on what needs doing at the time it could involve weeding, planting, pruning, digging and cleaning (inside or out).

We're looking for people who understand the philosophy of help exchange - exchanging food and accommodation for a few hours honest work - and who are interested in taking part in a cultural exchange. We would be opening up our home and way of life to you so also require that you have respect for our property and young family.

It would suit people who are looking to stay for up to... more inside

Charlies is a very busy and popular gelato shop. It is complemented by the surrounding 10 acres, which are planted in grapes, blueberries, oranges, feijoas and strawberries. You will be supplied with great coffee and some of the best gelato you have ever tasted.

We have a lovely recently renovated home with semi self contained accommodation. See pictures attached. It has a small kitchenette with a fridge, jug, toaster etc so you can have some independence. It also has a television and a network plug for internet, as well as WiFi.

We have fabulous vege gardens and eat really well. My husband is a very good cook.

We are looking for general work around the land, possibly some spring cleaning and painting. There is some flexibility with jobs depending on skill sets.

We are new to farming and have purchased a place in need of some work to bring it back to life. The pictures show why we fell in love with it. They were taken at the peak of summer and after some aesthetic work was done. We are now focusing on maintenance and upgrading some of the fundamentals.

We are a family of four. Our boys are 16 and on the autistic spectrum. They help out with some tasks given guidance. There is mobile phone reception on Spark and we will provide internet through wifi.

The sleepout where you’ll stay is a simple single unit with a queen bed and couch. There is a kitchenette and full bathroom. The sleepout is separate from the house and above ground so access is by stairs only.

Here is a list of tasks that we can work on. But there are other items that may come up and will get prioritised if necessary.

Gardening, fencing, weed eradication, livestock management, driveway repairs, fire wood collection and stacking, grass mowing, paddock improvements, ... more inside

We have a smallish lifestyle block half an hour north of Auckland in the Kaipara region. We have stunning views from the homestead over the Kaipara harbour and surrounding rural views. Generally speaking there are just the two of us here except when there are friends or family staying. The home is large with a self contained flat offered as accommodation for our Helpx friends. This has a double bed, small separate lounge and kitchenette and an en-suite with shower etc. This is all clean, modern and attractive. We work full time so need help with general upkeep of the farm, tasks would include weeding, planting, gardening, firewood cutting and stacking. There is also housework and cleaning that can be done.
Presently we are in need of strong people to move and stack loads of firewood and experienced weed eaters. If interested please let us know when you are available and we will see if we can match up. Thank You Jan and Russell.

UPDATE: We are currently looking for helpers (either one or 2 people) to start around 30 August. We ideally need helpers who are happy dealing with horses (bringing them in, changing covers, grooming, feeding, tacking up etc) as well as helping around the house and garden. If you are a proficient rider, you may be able to ride. We are also expecting a kaimanawa pony in the next few weeks, so if you are interested in handling young, wild ponies, then this is the place for you! You also need to like dogs.

It would be great if you had your own transport as the nearest shops (and bus stop)are 3km away (although we do have bikes if you are keen).

We have a lovely 11 acre block, close to Kumeu, 30 mins drive to Auckland City, and 15 mins drive to the beautiful Muriwai Beach. You are accommodated in a cottage with it`s own modern bathroom and there is plenty of room in the house to relax privately, though we welcome your company!

We have 3 horses (one retired), a cat and 3 do... more inside
