Hi we are a family of four. We have two boys aged 9 and 7. We have a couple of sheep, two dogs a cat and quite a few chickens. So delicious eggs!
Our house is an old villa with big gardens on a 1 hectare section. We can accommodate 2 people in our camper-van parked next to the house so you would have some privacy. The Abel Tasman National Park is close by as is the beautiful Kaiteriteri beach and split apple rock. Harwoods hole and the Riwaka resurgence are both unique and worth a visit.
Sites in the area. Approx 1 km down the road from the house is the airport (its really small grass runway) they run sky diving and other air activities from the air field.
We mainly require gardening work and landscaping. We find that our children really enjoy our visitors and we think it is important that they get to meet people from around the world.
We can assist you to organise trips into the Abel Tasman and up to Kahurangi National Park.

Small, busy, friendly family home in central Nelson, surrounded by gardens and then overgrown bush. We have four school aged children and some experience with kids is preferred. We are not looking for childcare, but want someone who is happy to be around children from time to time. The kids are well behaved and like to meet people from different places, as do we.

The tasks: 3 hours of garden work per day, including weeding. General section clean ups and some vegetable gardening. We could be interested in paying for more work if you are keen.

The accommodation: A classic caravan with a comfortable new mattress at the back of our property. The caravan has power, with a toaster and jug. Shared bathroom in the house, a short walk away. Pleasant, picturesque setting in a quiet peaceful location, near to the Maitai river and home of many native birds including cheeky wekas.
