We live about ten minutes from the small town of Cheviot and enjoy a lovely setting in the country, surrounded by farmland. There`s a big garden, and the house is very comfortable, with good wifi too.

There is a general mix of work available but our main focus is to have someone here to be housekeeper / cook as I will be away for three weeks in September and two or three nights a week up until then. The main duties will be cooking the evening meal for Bryan (and in September Maurice as well), feeding the animals at night most days, getting the supplies in and housework. Therefore much of the day will be free to explore the area. If you have any spare time and inclination, then baking or gardening would be helpful, plus taking the dogs for a short walk most days would be cool.

If your gig is landscaping and gardening, then we definitely have some work for you. We have some good projects in mind from building a small brick wall, planting out a wetland area and helping with m... more inside

Our property is 20 minutes from the centre of Christchurch. We are a busy working family with 3 children, so you will need to enjoy the company of children! Helpers stay in a warm and private cottage with one double bed, own bathroom and kitchen. Limited Wifi is available, and we ask that you use it in your own cottage and not in the family home.

Food for breakfast/lunch is provided which you make in your own cottage, and dinner is shared with the family. We always appreciate a traditional meal (or anything else!) if you like to cook/bake and we expect help washing up after meals.

Help needed is varied depending on the time of year. You will either be helping us in our rose nursery or general help around the property/house, just wherever we need an extra pair of hands! Our helpers typically help for about 4.5 hours a day, with one day off.

Hi we are a young friendly couple with a baby boy on a sheep and beef farm. The farm is a hill property and is close to Amberley and the beaches along coast. Amberley is a lovely town with nice cafes, restaurants and bars. Also nice there are great shops and a Saturday farmers market to mooch about. We have a large sheltered Garden and a warm comfortable home. Lots of animals, wide open space and fresh air. Not to far from the city of Christchurch (1 hour) that has an international airport.

Come visit us and our stunning area and give us a hand in the garden, home and farm! We will give you a nice place to taste good kiwi food and our culture.

Hi there!
Our family needs a female help x worker (no experience necessary, just need a good attitude!) to help out at our farm and in our home over the next three months(starting after the first week in August) . There will be about 6-8 hours paid work each day ($18/hour), on top of the two hours for food and board. You will be living with our family, my partner Mitchell and I have two daughters (3 1/2 and 4 1/2 years old). If English is not your first language, it will be a great opportunity for you to improve your language skills. I used to be an English teacher in South Korea so I'm happy to help you with any English language questions.

The job will require babysitting, preparing dinner, cleaning, and helping on our dairy farm feeding calves (on the days the girls go to preschool).

This position will be more than just a job, you will gain a kiwi family for life!

All the best!
Pip

Semi-self contained cottage. 3/4 bed available with your own lounge, toilet and hot drink making supplies. You will have to use the house for shower and kitchen.

I can host a single person or a couple doing 3 hours work a day providng some of their own food.

Jobs include gardening, tree planting, painting fences, indoor painting, house cleaning and cooking meals.

You will require your own transport as we live in the country (nearest shops 10 minutes away).

We live 40mins out of Christchurch on a very picturesque lifestyle block. Great if you are into a healthy lifestyle.

I would prefer non smokers and non drinkers.
