Hello HelpXers!

We are looking for a willing pair of helping hands to support us with the daily hostel cleaning starting immediately. We are after people who know what 'cleaning' means, who may have had a household of their own before, or who helped around Mum and Dad's house while growing up. Basically, someone who genuinely likes to help and is keen to do a good job.

If you are interested, please get in touch with us for further details!

We're looking forward to hearing from you soon!

PS: For those who care (one way or the other): we have a little dog.

Hello helpers,

*** Looking for helpers for weekly periods from February, especially the week starting 3rd February. Booked up for January.***

We've been a helpx host for about 2 years, having seen it work so well with our neighbours over the past couple of years. It has been great fun and we've enjoyed meeting so many new people from around the world. Looking forward to meeting more, helping them explore the area and at the same time, sorting out our garden and helping out around the house.

We are located in the countryside near Arrowtown among beautiful NZ scenery with views of the Wakatipu basin. Our home is situated on a one hectare plot. By car, we are 5 mins to Arrowtown, 10 mins to Queenstown Airport and 20 mins to Queenstown. All pics are from and in our home.

Originally from the UK, we lived in Australia for 12 years and have now settled in NZ.
We are looking for ideally 2 people (a couple) to help us with landscaping, gardening and painting. We would also ... more inside

We would like to host TWO helpers traveling together - ideally from mid January 2020, or Feb/March also possible.

We are Caro (37) and Ed (44), a couple living with our child, Mo (5), our handsome cat Captain Springs and our friendly chicken Heihei Ferichito.

Our home is in beautiful Careys Bay, a 15-minute drive from Central Dunedin and just a short walk from Port Chalmers, a lively seaside village with a great library, attractive shops, cafes/restaurants and cosy pubs with regular live music. We have a view of Otago harbour and the Peninsula. The Historic Careys Bay Pub is a 5-minute walk around the bay. A 10-minute drive will take you to Aramoana, the mouth of the harbour, with a surf beach, cliffs, and a historic spit with fur seals and other wildlife. The beaches over the hills behind us toward Waitati are absolutely magnificent. Our house is warm and cosy. We go into Dunedin frequently if you need a ride into the city and there is also a regular bus service :-)

Te Nohoaka o Tukiauau / Sinclair Wetlands is regarded as the largest and most important privately owned wetland in New Zealand!
Wetlands are now really rare, New Zealand has sadly destroyed more that 90% of these important eco-systems, they have been drained, filled and replaced with farmland and settlements. As people, we really need wetlands, they filter water, protect us from flooding and erosion. Wetlands host more wildlife than any other habitat type, 30% of our native freshwater fish, nearly a quarter of our native birds and over 450 native plants species live in wetlands! Wetlands are culturally very significant and were used by Maori as Mahinga Kai sites (gathering grounds)

In exchange for accommodation we require helpers for maintenance, up keep and enhancement of this wetland.
Sinclair Wetlands is managed by a non profit organisation (Charitable Trust - not a business) therefore we are unable to provide food, transport or any luxuries like wi-fi etc. (However, we ca... more inside

I am looking for good strong helpers who are self starters and who are willing to take pride in their work. I have a villa that I am currently renovating and it needs a bit of work to tidy it up and make it presentable. Jobs like painting, water blasting, gardening, laying pavers, etc. It is in a beautiful spot with views over the town and harbour.

If you are willing to get stuck in and lend a hand out would be awesome if you were to work approx 4-5 hours

In exchange for your effort and enthusiasm, I will provide you with accommodation, power, internet and, all meals.

You will have lots of time to explore beautiful Oamaru while you are here.

Get hold of me if you are interested.
