Kia Ora, my husband and I live in one of the most beautiful places in the world, on the way to Milford Sound, a world-renowned natural wonder. We live 5 minute walk to down town and 10 minuet walk to the lake. This place is truly incredible, with Fiordland National park pretty much in our backyard.

We are offering a room with a single bed, and a dinner in exchange for 4 hr a day of help around the house, maximum stay is 3 nights, however it is negotiable at the end of the day 2. You can also have an option of working 7 hr one day and have a day off the next day so you can explore Southland if you would like to.

We will mainly need help around the house with things like, washing windows, organizing, mowing lawns, cleaning an oven, weeding, basically help around with whatever we need help with. Nothing complicated, just a day to day things.

We have had some wonderful experiences with people staying with us and some shockingly bad ones, therefore we prefer to have a self mo... more inside

Looking for a fit couple to help starting up a veg garden from scratch with reclaimed brick paving, a compost heap, planting natives and also house sanding and painting. There's firewood to stack, (and part of my house is on a steep hill), although most of the work I need done is on the flat bits!

Hoping to find a friendly couple with good common sense. I'm recovering from a back injury so need strong hands and people who are fit and physically strong.

4 hours assistance daily (9am till 1pm) in exchange for a comfortable room with a double bed, and I provide 3 good meals a day, with free wifi. I live with my 9 year old son, so people who enjoy being around talkative kids is an absolute must! Ideally a 3/4 night stay would be a perfect duration.

This might be worth consideration for anyone wanting to explore the beautiful Deep South; Catlins, Bluff and/or Stewart Island, or those walking the Te Araroa "Cape to the Bluff" NZ walk, and are needing a warm safe Kiwi home with g... more inside

Most of our help is required in the garden and house, mainly gardening and housework and perhaps some cooking.

Prefer people who don't have dietary restrictions (e.g. vegan or vegetarian) and who are over 25 years approx. Expectation is that 4 hours work per day (flexibility on blocking work to have freedays) is completed in exchange for accommodation and meals.

Previous helpers have made us realise that if they have their own transport it makes it easier to go sightseeing etc on their time off. It is not essential but provides more freedom to explore our wonderful scenery. Also helpful but not essential if you give us you cellphone number.

We live very close (one of the closest houses) to Fiordland National Park. We are next to the start of the Kepler Track great walk, which you can start walking on from our land.

Our beautiful, rural organic small farm on 2 hectares provides amazing views of the Kepler mountains, lake Te Anau and the Murchison mountains, home to one of NZ's rarest birds, the takahe. It is a fantastic spot summer or winter.
In your afternoons, you can cycle a short distance to Te Anau township from our home, off track around the lake. We are also next door to an amazing off road cycle path down a Lord of the Rings river. We have bikes you can use. We have chickens, flowers, hammocks.

We are currently booking HelpX for 2018/2019, which is September onwards. However, if you are interested in winter Helpxing now, do drop us a line as we have some availability! Please note we only take one HelpX at a time and we do have facilities to take couples.

We are a family run, pasture based dairy farm milking 650, well cared for, kiwicross dairy cows. We are passionate about all things farming and love sharing and exchanging farming stories with other like minded people from around the world.
At the moment, we are looking for either one or a couple with good English speaking skills and livestock experience to give us a hand for the next few weeks. This is immediate start and likely until the 20th or so of May.
You'll be helping us out with some general day-to-day jobs on the farm including milking the cows, feeding cows and young stock, setting up fences, and some general farm maintenance. There could also be a few domestic jobs, like meal preparation or cleaning if that is more what you would prefer. The main thing we are interested in is meeting new and interesting people and sharing a real kiwi experience. Accommodation and meals are provided, but because we live remotely, having your own car is a really good idea. If you woul... more inside

We have a two acre native tree block at Manapouri which we are redeveloping. We have 2 building projects on the go at the moment - finishing a tiny house and renovating an old cottage.
We are specifically wanting people with strong building experience - carpenters and builders.

We always welcome arborists as well!

The accommodation is nearby, very comfortable and peaceful.

Lake Manapouri, known as the most beautiful lake in NZ, is a 5 minute walk away. Te Anau is a 15 minute drive and Milford Sound is only 2 hours. Manapouri is also the gateway to the beautiful Doubtful Sound.

For food and accommodation, you would work for 4 hours a day - the hours can be flexible so you can get away and enjoy the environment of Fiordland! We have kayaks and bicycles.

You can also spend a few days at our home in Queenstown.

Graham and Sandi run a restored Victorian homestead as a country restaurant and homestay. We like to grow our own herbs, salad and vegetable crops and have a small herd of sheep. We have comfortable accommodation for a helper and this is place is well loved as an historic property with a special charm and character. We are a well travelled couple and enjoy a good laugh. We have a lot of local and overseas visitors here. Great way to meet people and see this rural part of NZ. We expect reasonable and fair amount of help and in return offer good quality accommodation and great food. Only a short drive from the Catlins.
Non-smokers only. We are unable to provide special meals for vegetarians.
We also have a cottage at Potobello, Dunedin and always need a bit of help to work on the garden :-)
