Require a helper or 2 now until mid December.

We are looking for a MOTIVATED person or a couple to help us out. You need to be motivated, responsible, and who likes to cook would be super handy.
We rise early in the mornings for work, so we need someone the kind of the same.
Some occasions we need someone to help with the kids before school and after school from 3.30pm.

But mainly outdoor maintenance and gardening.

We run accommodation in 2 self contained cottages.
We need help with the cleaning of these to a high standard (summer months). Somtimes minding our 2 kids 11 year old son and 8 year old daughter who are both very independent and outgoing, a bit of house work would really help us, but we are a tidy family so it isn't a huge job. Also general outside duties. Animal care as well.
Cooking, maintenance skills, building, cleaning, are all things we need help with.

Traditional Central Southland plains sheep farm, owned and operated by older couple, our children have left home. We have been involved in a high school student exchange programme for many years, and have hosted many students from around the world, and have really enjoyed this experience. We are now looking forward to meeting other young people who are interested in farming. We have about 1500 sheep, four horses, three working sheep dogs, plus a pet jack Russell terrier and a cat.
In early September we will start lambing, one of our busiest times of year, and October is tailing time plus cultivating for young grass and winter crops.

We also have a medium to large garden, flowers and vegetables, which we would appreciate some help with. Situated 17 kilometers from small town of Winton, and one and half to two hours driving from beautiful Fiordland and Queenstown lakes as well as The Caitlins.

Meals supplied with our family, with a shared bathroom. Looking forward to meeting ... more inside

I have a working dairy & hobby farm located about 20mins drive from Invercargill. There are dairy cows, beef cattle, pigs, sheep, deer & a variety of birds. I’m a early 50's guy living with my partner in a large modern home with extensive gardens. I’m looking to host travelers who want an authentic New Zealand farm experience. You will assist me to keep the grounds tidy and other seasonal jobs to do involving the animals on the farm. Jobs may include; lawn mowing, tidying sheds, gardening, feeding animals. I offer quality accommodation (own room) and meals. You don’t need to have previous farm experience but please be fit and eager to learn. Happy to host single, two friends, couple of any age for up to a week. LGBTI travellers welcome. Approx 20 km to Invercargill, Riverton and Winton, (2 hours drive from Queenstown). It’s a rural address so your own transport would be an advantage.

We have children, dogs and cats and a Tourism Business.

We require help around the farm, in the garden and with the business. Tasks might include gardening, painting, cleaning accommodation, cutting wood, weed control.

Our location is quite remote with the nearest convenience store 10kms away. There is a pub in Garston. The nearest townships to Garston are Athol and Kingston both of which have cafés. Hello and welcome,
We are a family owned dairy farm milking around 440 cows. There is also gardening and cheese packing to help with. We have teenagers at home. As we are also homeschoolers, there is always something happening. We try to maintain a holistic approach to farming but we are not organic. We are looking for singles or couples that can contribute to our busy farming household and can stay from one to several weeks. At the moment calf rearing is happening and plenty of opportunity to get lost in the garden. You will also help out in the milk bottling room and packing cheese. If that sounds like you, don`t hesitate to email us or text. We would love to accommodate you. Our Dairy is a very modern well equipped rotary with a water recycling and effluent minimisation system.
We are situated around an hour from Te Anau and Manapouri areas and also Invercargill. During the summer we like water activities, tramping and fishing all of which can be found close by. If you like m... more inside

I am looking for someone or a couple to help me get my property ready for sale. And to help care for the animals. My old horse needs her covers taken off in the mornings and back on in the evening plus feeding. The goats to check feed and also the hens. I cook and heat my water with a coal range so you will be comfortable and warm.
We live in Ohai situated in central western Southland. Ohai is a pretty little village originally a mining town surrounded by rolling sheep country with impressive views to the Takatimu mountains to the north, and the Longwoods too the west. It is well positioned on route from Milford and Te Anau if heading further south to Invercargill/Dunedin or the Catlins. We are about 40 mins from the beaches at Tuatapere or Riverton. Also the caves at Clifton and Lake Horoko and the Hump Ridge Track. There is a heated swimming about 5 minutes walk from my home and a small pub about 10 mins drive. I shifted here from a lifestyle block in Glenorchy with my chooks,... more inside
