Hi there, and welcome to Christchurch,

We have a charming, but largish, garden and an old weatherboard house and are giving them both some loving attention. We are interested in help - mostly with gardening and house maintenance, and some indoor housework - in exchange for food and board. We are keen to hear from someone looking for around a 3-7 days stay. Happy to be flexible around hours (e.g. can be 4 hours work per day or 1 day on then 1 day off).

We are friendly and welcoming, and both work from home for some of the time. We also have a small dog. Our house is close to the Christchurch CDB and the Port Hills, and is near 3 major city bus routes. Own comfortable room and fast WiFi available.

We have both traveled and lived overseas, and enjoy meeting people from different countries. We look forward to being part of your NZ experience.

As spring time approaches there are many outdoor garden jobs for helpers. I'm looking for someone to do some gardening, childcare and a few household jobs. I'm also keen to get someone apply stain to my deck. It is even better if you are also interested in children.

Are you bubbly, enthusiastic, positive, honest, hardworking and willing? Are you organised and fun? You could be the perfect person to stay with our family!

I have four gorgeous children from the ages of 7-12 years. The children are usually with me from Monday to Friday and every second weekend, the rest of the time they are with their Dad. The children love the cultural and social experience gained from having helpers stay. The children are into sport, adventure and music.

We have a five bedroom house. We have a bunk bed in our Rumpus Room for helpers to use. The Rumpus Room is a shared space a bit like a playroom. When we have helpers staying the children know to respect the space of the helpers.

Large family run sheep farm situated just east of Rakaia. Both children in their twenties are currently working on the farm. We are looking for enthusiastic, fun people who want the typical kiwi experience, with loads of sheep, chickens, dogs, cows, horses and one random goat called Tomtom that turned up one day. There is a range of jobs which we need a hand with, from working with the animals eg feeding, handling, cleaning out horse paddocks and so on, to painting, gardening and cooking(very handy if you are confident in the kitchen and can organize dinner), it could be anything really. Prepare for the unexpected each day will be different.

From July until September we are busy lambing, so there is loads of lambs to be feed and to be loved as well as shifting fences and feeding out hay. In September we are busy docking and vaccinating the lambs. We are also very involved with horses, where we compete in showjumping during the summer months. So anybody keen on horses, this could... more inside

We are a family of three and live in Lincoln, a small town just outside of Christchurch.

We look forward to hosting non-smoking, house trained couples, or female pairs, who are happy to help us for 4 hours a day each for every night stayed. You should get on with children. We are flexible with how the time is worked.

We need help with cleaning, gardening, landscaping, and renovating at our Banks Peninsula holiday home during weekends. This involves physical work so a reasonable level of fitness is required.

In exchange we offer accommodation in our modern town house during the week, and weekend options to stay on Banks Peninsula in our holiday home with amazing views of the harbour and with excellent opportunities for outdoors activites: beaches and hills.

We love to share an evening meal with our guests, and are always happy to share cultural food experiences if you like to cook. We are vegetarian friendly. You supply and prepare your own breakfast and lunch as we are ... more inside
