Our home is a majestic lifestyle property on the edge of Ballarat and the Creswick State forest.
We are a busy family of 5, and are always happy to have a traveller assist us with our wonderful garden and orchard.

We ask for 4 hours of help per day. Things to do depends on the season, but involves assisting with our vegetable garden, our general gardens and the orchard.

With an abundance of wonderful birds and kangaroos along with our resident cat, Tim, there are lots to see and enjoy during your stay with us.

We can speak a little French, and like to have you as part of our family, sharing meals, conversation, even watching Netflix together while you stay with us.

WE have free Wifi, your own bedroom and bathroom, as well as recreational facilities (pool, tennis court) which you are welcome to use.

cheers

we currently have a couple of projects we woud like to do - build a chicken coop and paint some fencing- if interested please email us soon

Available July 2019
6 weeks stay minimum.

Dear traveler,
we are looking for 1 person - male or female to stay with us in our small inner Melbourne home.
You will be helping with household chores and occasional babysitting. Laundry, dishes, cooking, cleaning the house, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, cooking and similar. Experience with children necessary. Our 3 boys are 3, 6 and 9 years old.
You will have your own room and bathroom upstairs.
I`m a professional photographer originally from Czech Republic. I work flexible hours, my husband has his own landscaping business. There is a possibility for male helpers to get 2-3 days payed work with him. Paving, woodwork, gardening, digging... We live 5 min walk from a train and bus station, Melbourne city is 15 mins by train. There is Williamstown beach 10 mins by car/train. Shops and cafes 10 min walk. It is not a big house, so if you are not used to live close with a family and kids, you would probably struggle. We require 15 hours... more inside

Accommodation here is self contained and separate from my house, in amongst the trees and bush of Warrandyte. Morning walks with the dog along the Yarra River are a beautiful start to the day. The area is surrounded by State Parks, and includes the Yarra River so it is very peaceful, and good for swimming in summer. The slow combustion wood heater keeps your area cosy and warm at night, and helping to collect and cut the firewood keeps you warm during the day! (hehehe) There is gardening and many odd jobs for you to help with and plenty of time to explore the Yarra Valley. At times help on community art projects may be useful. Help of between four and five hours a day, five days a week, or less hours if you'd like to cook for yourselves, - to be worked out before you arrive or after the first week to suit us both. The weekends are kept free for sailing! If you are handy on a boat that would be a great bonus, but not at all necessary. (Those who prefer to stay on dry land are we... more inside

We own a little perma-culture based farm on which we try to be as self-sufficient as possible.

Exciting new projects:
building a new woodshed, chicken-raising shed and feed shed.
Cutting firewood, planting trees, raising chicks.

Vacancies:
From July 2019.
Our current helper is starting on a new adventure of her own after being with us for eight months on our farm. She will be greatly missed. This opens an opportunity for the right person to come on our farm either as share farming or as med-long term helper.

To stay at our farm you need a car as there is no public transport.

We are a big happy family and everyone pitches in to keep the farm going, keep projects on track and most importantly keep all the animals h... more inside
