As a young family we moved into this beautiful property just over a year ago. Our dream is to be self-sufficient while being able to respect and protect the native eco-system that Australian bush has to offer. We are learning as we go the principles of permaculture. We are trying to use native plants as much as possible. We are hoping to reach one day zero waste.

We are looking for one or two volunteers or 2 couples (there is 1 double bed and a queen) at a time to help in our garden and veggie patch using permaculture and bio-dynamic principles, looking ... more inside

the listing is for a beachside property in Somers on The Mornington Peninsula.(70mins drive or 2 hr journey by train from Melbourne).

Helpers have a comfortable, large QS bedroom with free wifi all mod cons.

1. Somers, The Mornington Peninsula. (photos below. Interiors to follow).

This is a 3 bedroom (2 bathroom) beach house, 5 minutes walk to a lovely safe, clean, sandy swimming beach in the small coastal town of Somers on The Mornington Peninsula.

This is a residential area, however The Mornington Peninsula is an all seasons destination for holiday makers in search of both calm Bay beaches and wild, surf. Plus there's great hiking, fabulous local food and award winning wine (mainly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay).

There is a train from Melbourne to Frankston, change for Bittern or Hastings and there is also a bus from Frankston to Somers. I am happy to pick people up from stations nearby and I can drive helpers from Melbourne depending on my work schedule and mov... more inside

**** Updated 21 June 2020****

Small family of 3 looking for a person or couple to help with day to day tasks around the house and yard.

We have recently moved to a small property which is already well set up but we need some help to make it perfect for us. Jobs we need help with are attaching wire mesh to existing fences to keep the dogs / chickens / horses separated, basic gardening (weeding and later maybe helping plant some veggies), feeding and looking after the animals (chickens, rabbit, horses, dogs).

Somebody with experience with horses would be ideal.

We live 50 minutes from Melbourne city by train in the town of Riddells Creek.

4-5 hours per day (20-25 hours per week) in exchange for room and all meals. Min stay 2 weeks please.

I look forward to hearing from you.

***We are finally able to host again! Yayyy!!
We are looking for somebody to come and help as soon as possible, please.***

Hello! We are Valentina & Andrea, an Italian couple in their 30s looking for helpers in the Macedon Ranges area. We moved to this part of Victoria a few months ago to follow our dream and open a plant based café in Kyneton where we spend most of the day.
Kyneton is a lovely town about 1h drive from Melbourne and really well serviced with a train station and coaches, supermarkets, farmer markets, gin distillery, shops and everything you need! However, we live in a beautiful solid cosy wooden house in Bullarto, about 20min drive from Kyneton and 10 to Daylesford (famous for the mineral springs).

We are now in need of one person or a couple to live with us and help us finishing our projects, sort out and clean the house and feed us please!

Below a brief description of what we are looking for:

* Minimum 2 weeks stay (1 month preferably) and at lea... more inside

I love being a HelpX host! It is so much fun to meet people from other places and other cultures. I have met some of the most wonderful people, some who are now life-long friends. Previously I lived in North Sydney, I have moved to Manly Beach. And now I’ve just bought a house in the Victorian High Country. The little hamlet of Stanley is just a 10 minute drive from Historic Beechworth. Victoria.

I am wondering if there are any interested helpxers looking to help me do some interior house painting... and Permaculture gardening.

I will be back there in my new home on July 20 to bring my furniture there from Sydney.

Tip: Please upload a photo to your profile, it really helps a host get a feel for the helper!
