Our family (with three children aged 17, 14 and 9) is on the look out for some lovely new helpers to join us.

Come and visit beautiful Beechworth, an historic gold mining town near the border of Victoria and NSW. There are great cycle paths, spectacular sunsets and lovely spots to explore. We have a spare bike so you can get around independently.

Our home is on 10 peaceful acres just 3km from town. We have 3 cats, a dog, 2 horses and lots of chickens. The horses are shedding their winter fur and would love a brush, but they are not available for riding.

Accomodation while you stay with us is a beautiful 4-poster bed in the master bedroom with your own bathroom.

We prefer helpx guests to stay for approximately one week. We love longer stays, but need to meet you first.

We make all our meals from whole foods and eat mostly vegetarian food, but are attempting to introduce some meat. If you enjoy cooking, we love to have help in the kitchen!

Specifically to help with any of these tasks:

Painting inside the house
Mowing and garden maintenance
Weeding and pruning
Tidying up the shed

Also vacancy for mid June to late July for a couple to HOUSESIT. Must have own vehicle. This would be a good opportunity if you wanted to find some casual work in the town and use our place as a base, while looking after our animals. June/July is winter so there will not be much gardening to do.

We are a family of two adults and a teenager on 7 acres in Woodend; an easy 1 hour train ride from Melbourne. Also we have a long-term house guest and occasional teenage children staying, so it can be busy at times. Short trips welcome.

WE welcome travellers with gardening skills, general housekeeping and gardening skills, and more importantly those with the attitude to try!

Carpentry skills a big plus, (for the studio project).

the accomodation is in the main house, comprised of a room with double fold out bed, and private bath room next door.

There is limited public transport however there is a bus that runs daily to the train station and back. Your own transport is ideal.

Gorgeous surrounds, and at the foothills of the Dandenong's for great walks, views of Melbourne, and relaxing time. Also the famous 1000 steps walk is very close by.

We eat healthy food and are aiming to grow as much as we can ourselves in 2019.

I live in a large regional city one hour by train from Melbourne in a comfortable three-bedroom home with a medium-sized garden. I prefer a young man willing to work in my garden, maybe a little house cleaning. If he has some experience in painting the exterior wood parts of a brick home that could be an advantage, and also knowing a weed from a plant (!). I offer a private room, internet access, meals (French and Italian cuisine) in exchange for four hours work per day, mainly light work, five days a week.I usually find that young helpers don't have much gardening experience and I am happy to show them what they need to do. The time that they do the required 4 hours of work on week-days can be flexible but helpers must be happy and willing to do a full 4 hours per day because I really hate it if I find that I have to keep urging them to continue their work; in such a case the exchange is not worth my trouble. I really prefer someone from France or Italy. I speak those languages flu... more inside
