Hi, this is a unique opportunity to live in a museum! I am a gay guy who is the curator and caretaker of an historic homestead built between 1862-1880, located within extensive gardens. Part of the house now functions as a museum. The property is in a rural setting at Greenough - just off the Brand Hwy- 19 kms south of Geraldton and 400km north of Perth. I have planted fruit trees and established an organic vegetable garden. Helpers must like animals as I have ducks, a cat and 2 dogs. The property is close to isolated stretches of beach, bushland and other tourist attractions. Work includes gardening, cooking, cleaning, art projects, translating, helping keep the museum open, minor property maintenance, etc.
Only have accommodation for one person at a time and prefer non-smoking helpers over 25. For helpers wanting to improve their English, I hold a Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (2001).

Country style living close to trains and city! You will be welcome in the most one of a kind house truck accommodation, with an outside toilet and outside entry to bathroom and simple self-catering possible, and share in the joys (and mess) of meals with a toddler and occasionally the grandparents too. We're a multi-generational household with different areas. Daily tasks can be negotiated by skill and interest, and may involve finishing touches of carpentry and house maintenance (mainly on the yet-to-be-polished aforementioned house truck), cooking, gardening and/or childcare of my one and half year old bundle of bounty and joy. The property is surrounded by bushlands, close to the river, and shared with me, my young daughter, and my retired and often travelling parents. There's an extensive veggie patch, salt water pool, tennis court. There are lots of birds and natural beauty abounds. Not far from the airport, a bus to the city has a stop on the property, and Bassendean tr... more inside

We are an open, fun loving family who laugh a lot so we love having people who have a great sense of humour.

We can accommodate a single person and we prefer people aged over 25.

We are a 4 person family in a house in Perth, Western Australia very close to the beach and the city.

Our house is very close to public transport to the city and the beach - 2 bus routes are within a 5 minute walk.

As we all eat together and cook together. If you are vegetarian, it makes it difficult preparing meals so we cannot cater for vegetarians.

We are a very friendly easy going family and we laugh a lot and enjoy each others company.

We prefer helpers who have good English language skills. We enjoy good conversation especially around the dinner table.

We are self employed. The husband works from home and wife runs a ladies clothing business.

equipment), tree planting, watering, weeding etc, animal maintenance with the alpacas. We are cultivating new vegetable gardens. Always open to creative artistic people who can work on garden projects. Ideal for motivated people who can work without supervision. At this time for a few weeks we can offer the chance of some paid work for a few hours per day picking cherries away from the property and then doing some time on our property as well. Please let us know that you have read and understand our profile. Any changes to it are updated and it is always current.

Tasks include: weed garden, mow the lawn and clean the pool. Help keep house clean and tidy, walk the dogs etc ...its lots of garden work!

I am in the historic town of Guildford only a 23 minute train ride to Perth. Guildford is near the Swan Valley wine region and we are close to the river. There are many supermarkets, shopping complexes, Sunday markets and pubs all close by. The train is only a 3-minute walk from my door.

There is currently 1 bedroom available with a queen sized bed. I have a busy schedule. This is why a couple is better-you wont be alone! I often keep odd hours & eat at odd times so I generally ask you take care of your own food needs. I supply the staples but you will need to do your own cooking and tidying up. I am a vegetarian so any meat you cook, you will need to provi... more inside
