Hi,

We`re currently looking for helpers for late September, October and November 2018.

We live near the centre of Hobart (15 minutes by bus or bike, 40 minutes walk). We have a large vegetable garden (in the photo you can see it needs weeding!), berries and fruit trees, and 3 chooks. You can see more photos of the house on our airbnb listing via our website link above.

We have a studio out the back for guests, with shared bathroom inside the house. WIFI is available (but doesn`t always reach the studio out the back).

We have two sons in their teens (although one has recently moved to Melbourne soon for uni). We like being hosts so we can meet new people and introduce our sons to people from other cultures. We`d love to have people in our home who can share their stories (and cooking if they want!) and help out with the garden, odd jobs and a bit of housework.

We live near a cycleway and can usually lend helpers bikes to ride around Hobart. The MONA museum, the city a... more inside

Hello happy travellers. We are a family of 4 living in a lovely little house overlooking the sea and Mt Wellington 15min south of Hobart. We have two crazy girls who are 10 and 12 years old. We need help in the garden mostly as we attempt to turn it into a permaculture paradise. Some cleaning and general household duties and some child minding may be required. It's a 3min walk to the beach with access to coastal bush walks and a 20min bus ride to Hobart CBD on a regular bus service. We have bikes available for borrowing and one of us speaks French and Italian. Limited WIFI provided.

We welcome travellers who enjoy being a part of family life, enjoy being around children, do not smoke or take recreational drugs and enjoy sitting on the deck with a home-brew ginger beer at the end of a good day's work :)

At the moment we are undertaking a renovation project and are looking for someone with manual labor, gardening and/or landscaping experiance.

We are back from our travels through Central Australia and the Pilbara. With Spring now underway, there is plenty to do and we would love to have some helpers to work with!!

Hi. We are Henrietta, a ceramic sculptor and Andrew. We live with Jack (our large, energetic dog) on an 11 ha, bushland and pasture property in a picturesque, small valley which is also home to many native animals and birds.

Our place is located 20 minutes south of Tasmania's capital city, Hobart and 10 minutes from the shopping centre and beaches of Kingston. We are only a few minutes by car from a Hobart Metro bus stop and can arrange pick-up/drop-off.

We enjoy meeting new people and sharing experiences, love good food and wine as well as gardening, walking, camping and travel especially in Australia's desert regions.

We can offer guests a range of experiences suitable to your skills and interests including: weeding and planting in our chemical-free veggie and small fruits patch, basic building ma... more inside

We are located in the idyllic valley of Lorinna; an active, vibrant rural community with a strong cooperative ethos, frequent communal events and working bees, a food co-op, abundant wildlife and wonderfully clean soil, air and water.
We live on a property with several other households with whom we share work and resources and a stand-alone photovoltaic and micro-hydro power system.
We are a family of four with a 7 year old daughter and a 3 year old son whom we homeschool with a natural learning approach.
We`ve recently returned from a five month bicycle trip through Europe (planned around visiting some of the amazing friends we`ve made through Help X) and are keen to further embrace the joys of simplicity and are building a tiny home from reclaimed materials where we can live a more minimalist, outdoor lifestyle. We primarily need help with building and/or playing with the children while we build. Other projects we may be working on include playing in the vegetable garden, plann... more inside

Help with kids needed from 9th of September for two weeks. Their Dad is away for work, and I need assistance before and after school three days a week.
We have a one acre property with some established fruit trees. We are 20 mins from Hobart, with a bus stop within walking distance. There is a lovely river swimming spot a short walk away. Day trips to places like Bruny Island are also a reason to visit.
Current projects to choose from if you like to have a specific goal: build a chicken coop, build a rock wall, plant fruit trees, plant a native garden.
Accommodation is within my house, single bunk beds or double bed, and share the family bathroom. Meals included.
I have two daughters, 10 and 12 years, a cat and a very friendly dog.
I'm looking for some help around the house or garden.
I am happy with short stay. Hours of work are 20 hours per week, negotiable times.
I want to host because I enjoyed volunteering when I travelled overseas, and I love meeting like minded p... more inside

We are a family of three my husband Stuart (Scottish) myself Bridgette (Austraian) and our almost 3 year old daughter Ayah. We moved into our house in August 2017 which is located in Tasmania's longest standing community, with the intention to become fully self sustainable one day. We love fermenting and preserving food, brewing beer, gardening, earth building and caring for the amazing land we call home. We woofed around New Zealand and Australia and love too share skills and learn new ones. We would love help in the garden, mud building, building fences and we are hoping to sand and stain our house this summer. We have a large bell/tipi tent set up near the creek and the worlds best swimming pool. We are vegetarian so we wouldn't cook meat except yummy food from our veggie patch and local goodness. Stuart is the local vegetarian chef so good food is a promise. Its a magical place that we would love too share with you. xxxx

Hi. we are doing lots in the veggie and flower gardens for spring veggies. We are also building up our food business for afternoon tea bookings and farm shop.

The farm is not far from the beach and fantastic bush walks, we welcome people to stay with us and join in with farm activities, and cooking up a storm in the kitchen with some great local seafood or farm produce. We also have bikes and a kayak that need a bit of attention.

As well as working in the gardens, we are doing small building and general farm projects, see below a youtube video that gives a taste of helpex and farm stay visits to our farm.

Most of all we want your stay on our part of the coast to be interesting and enjoyable that balances the work you do...Our area is unbelievably beautiful!!

Hope to hear from you soon!

Cheers,
