We run a yurt camp site, with 4 Yurts and a Shepherd`s Hut. We`re looking for a competent person or a couple who can help us with the yurts (a "Green" environmentally award winning site which we`ve been running for 8 years), as well as work in the meadow, around the garden and maintaining the farm buildings. Whilst not registered organic, we have an organic sensibility and don`t use any chemicals on the land.

We (Kim and Nick) live in Suffolk, in the East of England, in a 17th century renovated farmhouse and have a small, elderly, dog - no other animals. The house and our 5 acres is very rural; buses run past the front door to the nearest town of Halesworth (3 miles) with good shops and an arts centre, and beyond to the beach at Southwold and to Beccles, a bustling town at the southern end of the Norfolk Broads. There`s a station 2 miles away, a bus stop (one mile away) to the lively city of Norwich and we have bicycles to borrow. Our village of Westhall is quiet with a smal... more inside

Our farm has heated accommodation and warm hospitality for the right person who will need to be enthusiastic and dedicated when it comes to our precious livestock.

This is a lovely old fashioned farm set in the very heart of the beautiful Devon countryside. The location and landscape is unspoilt and offers easy access to the wilds of Dartmoor.

Ben and his wife Larry and Benís Mother Tessa along with our volunteers and students work together to maintain and develop the land, livestock and a sustainable way of life.

We enjoy life on our 400 year old traditional Devon Farm and manage over 100 acres consisting of culm grassland, hay meadow, ponds and woodlands (43 acres), all worked by our shire horses. Our Woodlands provide a wonderful opportunity for preserving the time-honoured skills associated with traditional woodland management such as coppicing, charcoal burning and horse logging.

Modern techniques and home comforts are embraced but where possible th... more inside

Unless anything changes we are now fully booked for 2018. We are considering requests for 2019.

Hello,

We need volunteers for gardening, cleaning and basic DIY for August & September. We ask that volunteers stay a minimum of 4 weeks, with longer stays appreciated and prioritized.

This opportunity is for 6 months and can be extended for another 6 months if both parties agree as paid work. You can use the car also for private use. You only have to pay your own petrol.

Mick and I live in an area close to Liverpool ,Chester and Manchester. We have a horse and 4 dogs and there are always small jobs which I need help with such as fencing ,gardening and general land maintenance .We grow our own vegetables too. My partner keeps vintage cars and sometimes needs help with them we use them throughout the summer so sometimes we will be able to take you out in one. We live in a very old house with not much heating so preferably we don't have people from November till April .Some of the work may be painting ,general maintenance etc The land has got out of control a bit this summer so theres a lot of wood chopping ,grass cutting and bonfires to do we usually suggest working for 5/6 hours one day with the next day off for sightseeing. We never ask anyone to do anything we would not do ourselves .We have space for anyone with a camper van. Wales and the Lake District are all within easy reach . You will have your own comfortable room we have wi fi .We provi... more inside

We have a delightful bungalow in the beautiful Devon countryside with a large garden and peaceful location.

My husband and I are friendly and would like someone to help us with painting our bungalow, which will involve removing stacks of wood from the wall to paint, and then and restacking it.
The weather's fine now but that could change, so there's general gardening such as weeds to clear.

We can offer you the caravan after 1st September. We also have a new great tent which sleeps 4. It's comfortable with luxury deep foam matresses...you'll sleep soundly.

Ideally we'd like 4 hours help a day with your weekends free. In exchange weíll provide your breakfast and lunch food to prepare in your caravan or tent, and an evening meal with us in the bungalow. In the caravan theres a fridge and gas hob cooker. Please note we're both vegetarians. Non smokers please.

We're only fifteen minutes drive from Exeter city so local trains and buses are regular from there to London, a... more inside

PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME OF THE PHOTOS ARE UPSIDE DOWN AND THERE IS NO WAY TO CHANGE THIS. Even tried rotating the photos before uploading but always end up upside down whichever way they are uploaded??? Anyway hope you can mange by turning screen around. Photo of the farm in Wales is fine for some reason. It is the third photo and is not actually where you will be staying but it is possible to visit sometimes. The other photos are of the allotment and double room in Liverpool where you will be staying.

Double room available in cute three bedroom house. We have a large allotment near to the house where we grow organic vegetables. We also have a beautiful and historic mountain farm in the Snowdonia National Park which we visit occassionally now, it is a great place for a retreat to get away from everything and soak up the fresh air. We grow organic fruit for our own consumption but do not currently have any animals. We also have 23 acres of woodland to manage. It is not viable to... more inside

*** At the moment we only have space for helpers who are willing to camp (bringing their own tent, sleeping bag etc) in exchange for just 2-3 hours work a day plus 2 days off a week. Do drop me a line if you are interested :) ***

Set on the edge of the pretty fishing village of Beer on Devon`s south coast, this 39-bed Youth Hostel is in need of a willing helper over the coming months to help keep it looking it`s best.

The work here at YHA Beer mainly comprises of 4-5 hours a day of cleaning (inc making beds) with some occasional gardening and painting, and with 2 days off a week.
It`s not particularly glamorous (can include a fair share of cleaning toilets!) but the reward of living in this lovely village just a 10 minute walk to the beach, I think, makes it well worthwhile :)

Your accommodation would be in your own room in the small on-site staff flat which you`ll usually share with one other member of staff. There`s a shared bathroom and small kitchen for... more inside

We are a small team who collectively own and work a 32 acre mixed farm in Worcestershire. We aspire to a model of agriculture which is ecologically, economically and socially regenerative using profitable, soil building enterprises. We are primarily market gardeners, selling high quality organic vegetables from our 1acre no-dig market garden directly to consumers through our vegbox deliveries or wholesale to retailers, restaurants & distributors. Along side the market gardening we use holistic planned grazing to regenerate our pastures with sheep & pigs, and are undertaking an extensive & diverse agroforestry project throughout the farm over the next few years. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in producing food professionally and have a strong work ethic. In exchange for your labour we will provide food, comfortable accommodation, structured education and for those willing to commit for longer periods a financial allowance. We have 30 years experience growing organic... more inside
