Located in scenic West Wales, close to Cardigan town and picturesque walks, beaches and woods, we are a low-impact, permaculture-based family of three, including a 4yr old girl, who have recently gained planning permission under the Welsh One Planet Development scheme.

We have pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, bees to manage as well as large amount of landscaping and building work to do. Lots of experience possible in animal husbandry, fruit and veg growing, land management and low-impact, natural building.

We are able to offer a fitted out caravan for accommodation and home-grown meals in exchange for 25 hours-a-week work. No experience required but a willingness to pitch in and do is a must.

Thanks for looking :)

We are a 19 acre smallholding 700 ft up a mountain North of Swansea and south of the Brecon Beacons National Park. We have a burgeoning forest garden and grow medicinal herbs, Its a creative, magical sacred place with lots of history, opportunities for walks and waterfalls. We have four children, chickens, and bees and a lurcher dog. We need help with gardening, fencing, brambling and fruit picking, building ponds and building maintenance. We are doing up a barn to run workshops and need help clearing and sorting. Work would be for 2-3 hours a day with the weekend off. Every year, men and women from all over, join in the commotion and comradery of what we call Ecstatic Building;
Spirit Horse’s unique drive to create sacred architecture which anyone can do.

Ecstatic because of the exhilaration collectively felt when we are fully engaged in the “common work of the tribe” and fully giving rein to our innate, unbridled, natural creativity.

Our instinct is to create, and make in beauty. And making home, or housing for the holy, is natural and refreshingly fulfilling. To be able to build houses, temples, born of this natural unrestricted intelligence in the old way, is a freedom rarely experienced these days.

Here is your invite to join the Spirit Horse Tribe for the month of May, in sacred architecture. Banging nails, candle lit dinners, happy banter and companionship in a spectacular welsh valley, adorned with waterfalls; radiant with the exuberance of May, in the creation of earthy, wild architecture and a new culture.

“Our buildings... more inside

I'm a sporty person and enjoy nature/wildlife.
My place is not nice so I'm offering it free to anyone who can help me get it nice. You don't really have to be a tradesperson we can learn on YouTube lol. Ideally you could help with buying food but I will if need be. Locally it's in the Valleys so there is nature around. Really nice national park Brecon beacons not far which I love all this stuff. If it is sunny we don't have to work we go out there's no deadline with this. River Taff is behind house and the Taff biking trail so we can do that i have a spare bike, a kayak, spare wetsuit and bodyboard for beach.

There is like I believe plastering, I need to take the floor up in kitchen, just cleaning n bitty bits like filling holes n things. I'm gonna try n get all the tools needed.... Shed in garden needs work too rotting away at back. Fencing in garden. I need to get shower fitted in there eventually. There is only bath. Insta is brynaldo. I also have gym n sauna facilities for... more inside

Here you can learn about all aspects of sustainable living. We are also archaeologists, building a stone age working settlement. We are looking for people with carpentry and green woodworking skills especially in 2019 to help on this project. We are offering internships for people wanting longer term placements with greater depth of learning and research in a range of subjects from countryside management to experimental archaeology.
