BY THE SEA IN A WALKERS PARADISE
***Are you available to help***

We run an art gallery, coffee shop/wine bar and music venue on the beautiful Sheep`s Head Peninsula, West Cork. We live here with my two young teenage boys, one dog, and three cats, flock of chickens and also a few fish.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT US.
We grow Organic vegetables in our polytunnel, keep chickens for fresh eggs daily, we would eat vegetarian food a lot of the time.

LOCATION
We are by the sea in a walkers` paradise; this is also the opportunity to meet other international travelers of all ages in the gallery/wine bar who resonate with nature (walking/cycling) or are interested in the arts or just relaxing in the sea air.
Though this is a wild, rural area, there is a wealth of culture on the peninsulas, pubs, restaurants, fishing, music etc and the thriving seaside town of Bantry is just a 15-mile drive.

CAN YOU HELP WITH.....
I'll be needing help serving and working in the cafe/wine bar ... more inside

I have set up a small oyster farm in Northern Ireland, UK in 2015.
When I took over the farm it was abandoned and I started all from scratch. At the moment I am the only one working the oysters, I have been busy developing the production up to 10 tones for the year 2019 and hopefully 40 tones by 2021 which is a small - medium size business.

Work hours are variable and there is not one day the same. Oyster farming is organic, there is not added fertiliser or feed because these animals are filter feeder, meaning they eat micro algae, a natural food source coming with the tides.

I specially like being out there within the nature and wildlife, it is common to see seals and many birds around the farming structure and the surrounding. Access is 10 minutes by boat or fro... more inside
