We live on the East coast of Ireland 3km. from the sea. We are a couple wwith 3 grown up children, 2 at home.We love gardening and I also love beekeeping. We grow organic fruit and vegetables for home use and we also produce pure natural honey. We enjoy hosting students who have a sence of humour and a positive outlook. Helping includes garden maintenance; composting, weeding, and honey production. While helping, you will learn the skills of organic food production and the art of beekeeping.

We require help during spring, summer and autumn. I`ve got all the equipment and clothing you will need.
You will need one set of old working clothes.

Accommodation is very comfortable, in your own room in the family home. Normally everybody eats together and we have WiFi.

As well as producing fruit, vegetables and "liquid gold", we also enjoy painting, music (piano, guitar and violin), football, video games, fishing, boating, and of course, great food and flower gardening.

AVAILABILITY DECEMBER 2018 ...

I rent out rooms / apartment to tourists and language students visiting Dublin and need someone to help a little with cleaning, meeting guests, basic maintenance etc ... the hours would be flexible and around 15-25 hours a week - in return i offer accommodation, basic food, free high-speed wifi, use of bicycle and a friendly welcome!

Am looking for someone for a few weeks but could be for up to 6 months - currently I have openings from EARLY SPRING onwards. Most likely, I would agree initially only to a shorter stay ... but that can be extended which would be my preference. As accommodation is limited, I am only looking for ONE helper at a time ... no couples or friends - sorry :)

I like people to be friendly, engaging and flexible, sociable and outgoing, able to make new friends - I promise the same in return :)

I am located in Dublin city centre and am said to be a pretty relaxed guy to live with. I am also happy to show you my c... more inside

Thank you for taking some time to read our profile!

Since 2012, hundreds of wonderful people from all over the world have volunteered with us. We are very grateful for all they do. Some come for two weeks; most come for two or three months and some stay for a year! Others come back for a second, third or even fourth visit. It`s best if people come for at least 2 months. This gives time to settle in and experience a lot more.

We live in a small, traditional west of Ireland village which has a theatre, sculpture centre, nice pubs and lots of sports clubs. There are lots of hill walks and outdoor activities nearby and we are a 30 minute drive from the Atlantic Ocean. Nearby are three larger towns with public transport (train or bus) to Dublin, Belfast, Londonderry and Galway. The closest airport is 1 hour away, with flights from Britain and Europe.

I enjoy nature, people, animals, theatre, music, arts, community interests, as well as history, politics, peace studies and fai... more inside

We are an Irish family of five, Eoin, Olivia and three great girls Anna (8), Kate(5) and Sage (3). We run a small mixed farm just outside the historic town of Kells in the heart of the Boyne Valley. Our primary business is rearing Free Range Bronze Turkeys and Geese for Christmas. We also operate an educational mobile farm visiting food festivals, events and schools so we have a great mixture of animals for that including rear breed pigs and sheep, ducks, hens (all our own eggs in the morning!) and Matilda our milking goat!
We also have horses and there is opportunity to ride out for those with experience.

We need general help on the farm, feeding animals, herding them in and out (as everything is free range), keeping sheds clean and tidy and looking after horses too. We need some support with the kids too as it is a busy house, especially in the evenings! We would love a couple or two friends able to stay one month or longer. Separate accommodation available in a wooden cabin... more inside

Hi!

We are a fun loving family in Ireland and we love having company and friends to stay. We have had Au Pairs, students etc through the years and have had only wonderful experiences.

We have 3 children, Emily 7, Marcella 5 and Eddie 3. We are looking for someone who could give us a dig out with general house duties, animals and looking after our kids.

The exchange is 20 hours per week, any additional hours, if it suits you to do them, we will pay you for.

We get away most weekends to places of local interest, Glendalough, Castlecomer, the beach etc so it will be an opportunity for you to explore local attractions.

We can send you references from previous au pairs if you want to get an idea of family life with us. We have maintained a great relationship with all of them and keep in contact on a daily basis.

You will have semi private accommodation the top floor of our house, with private bathroom.
Preferably one volunteer but would consider two friends to sh... more inside

2 houses joined together, one is our home, the other is for airbnb guests on short term stays. All are surrounded by a largish varied garden with organic vegetable planters as well as wildlife meadow, fruit trees, camomile lawn, wildlife pond and mini woodland etc.
I am retired but play guitar and still do some photography. Eibhlin does aromatherapy. The house is a mile from Killyleagh, a small historic town dominated by Ireland's largest privately owned castle. Good public transport to and from Belfast (18 miles) from Crossgar, 5 miles away (can drive you there). We need help to do some specific projects in the garden Autumn 2018 if the right kind of person came along - you would need to be strong and sensitive to plants. Male helpers may find the work easier and are preferred just at the moment.
The projects are clearing overgrown areas, digging areas needing redevelopment, and repairing/rebuilding raised beds. We also sometimes need general help painting and weeding.
The hous... more inside
