Spring is coming on the alpaca farm!
We - our 42 alpacas, two dogs, three cats and us - live on a small farm on the edge of a village in central Brittany. It is a peaceful place with a small wood and a stream running through the land. There’s lots of birds here and it’s a rare day that has no birdsong, even in winter.
The weather here is usually mild in winter - more rain than snow! Summer is mostly pleasantly warm.
We're looking for someone who will join us in what we’re doing - everything from feeding the alpacas to collecting poo! You can learn all about these wonderful gentle creatures and how a small alpaca farm works.
Depending on the weather and the time of the year, we could also be fleece sorting, nail trimming, fencing paddocks, putting up animal shelters or doing just about anything else that needs done on the farm to make sure that everyone has the best life possible.
We also have building and renovation projects, so lots to keep you interested!

Chateau, 20 minutes from Angers by car. Rural location. 3 hectares of land to maintain as well as ongoing maintenance in the house. Any gardeners and or painter, decorators very welcome. I have many windows and doors to rub down and repaint. The garden needs some attention and maintenance. In return for work we'll feed you and can give you a lift if you wanted to visit the local area on your days off. Looking for 5 on 2 off or can adapt if youd like to stay fewer days.
The accommodation is very comfortable. Twin room and access to a shared kitchen and bathroom. Looking for mature, easy going, fun loving, hard workers like ourselves. I'm English and my wife is French. Both bilingual. There is a large forest behind the house for walks and cycling and a lovely river a short drive away. The nearest shop is a ten minute drive or twenty minute bike ride. It's rural but beautiful. We eat mostly vegetarian. You can eat as you wish but we'd offer you to eat meals with us.

We live in a late 18th century chateau which we are in the process of renovating.

We are looking for help between now and the end of October on various jobs in the grounds of our Chateau. Mainly involves clearing and chopping up fallen timber, clearing over grown areas of weed and low shrubs. Some weeding of beds and taking down Virginia creeper. There is some painting work to be done as well. Plastering skills are a plus.

If you are up for this and other heavy maintenance work we have a self-catering gite for your sole use adjacent to the Chateau but we will provide the food for you to cook as you wish. We will also invite you to join us for a meal from time to time. There is internet and French TV in the gite. The kitchen is fully equipped including dish washer, washing machine and fridge/freezer. We speak both English and French.

We are located in the Aude valley of Languedoc in an area famous for the Cathar crusade. We are just off the Autoroute Des Deux Mers. Toulous... more inside

I would like to invite you to spend some time in this magnificent area in the foothills of the Pyrenees.
The mount 'Canigou' seems planted at the edg of my garden,2874 m above the sealevel and sacred for all Catalans.Looking on Prades as from a balkony,a pleasant house to live.
Every 23th of June 'la trobada' assembles Catalans from the north as from the south (Spain), a huge fire is made on top and brought down to multiples towns and villages where there's music and dancing celebrating summer solstice.
While staying at my place I'd love you to discover all this, easy and so cheap ( for 1 euro one way ride on bus or train) trough the whole department!
I will need trees to be cut and other cleaning up, having experience with a chainsaw is a plus!
Otherwise some gardening, mending the acces to the site, little jobs on an around the house...
Accommodation in the house or tent, according to what's available.
I ask 5 hrs/day,5 days week work for board + 3 meals a d... more inside
