Looking for helpers interested in remodeling homes. We buy ugly houses and make them pretty. We also need help in and around our own home. Happy to pay for additional hours of work as well. Willing to train anyone who is interested in learning. We ask for 4 hours of help per day, 5 days per week, in exchange for room and board, and then anything over the 4 hours would be paid time.

We ask that you do not prepare raw meat onsite. There are plenty of places to eat meat just 1/2 miles from the property. We are okay with fish and preparing seafood. Also okay for you to buy cooked meat and eat onsite, just no raw/uncooked meat (including raw chicken) products please. We make healthy meals for you while you are here, encourage you to make your own meals as our schedules are very hectic, or help in the kitchen with food prep.

We hope that we can share some culture with you while you are here with us. If you are looking for an American experience, we are truly the melting ... more inside

Perfect for a Purdue University student!

Retired hubby and disabled wife need help with household maintenance and projects including (but not limited to...lol) deep cleaning, carpet shampooing, organizing collectibles and books for online or onsite (yard-type) sale, laundry (including helping at laundromat), clearing garage, painting, property repair, minor roofing and electrical, etc. Guest room and kitchen/fridge space can be provided.

We live minutes from downtown and are very close to West Lafayette/Purdue campus. Mass transportation and Amtrak are very nearby. Also bike-friendly area. Prefer someone respectful and friendly, of an age, and that is interested in an extended stay. Some projects may take more time than others but we can't imagine more than a few hours a day, max! Smoking and responsible drinking are great on the porch... Must like pets (2 dogs, 1 cat). International students welcome!

Come join our relaxed, extended family for a long visit. The farm consists of 23 secluded acres of woods and fields bordered by a river, situated outside a small town. There is a large organic vegetable/herb/berry garden and perennial beds, an orchard, chickens, 2 horses and 2 cats. I strive to practice low-input, regenerative farming and gardening techniques. No chemicals are used here.

Helper duties on the farm include gardening, pruning, mulching, and mowing (in season.) Taking care of chickens and horses. Installing and maintaining fence. Keeping wood stoves going in winter. Painting and old house maintenance if you are so inclined. There are so many jobs to choose from that helpers have their pick.

We request that helpers stay at least a month, as it takes at least a week to settle in and learn routines. There are wifi, laundry facilities, and a shared kitchen. Helpers are expected to cook some of their own meals; food is provided. This is a great position for someone ... more inside

We are a couple in our late 50's who own a flower farm! My husband Tim farms 315 acres of corn and soybeans and I (Julie) have my own flower farm at the house where I grow flowers outside and in a greenhouse to sell at farmers markets, weddings, and other local events. We also host events at the farm where I teach flower workshops, have people come and pick their own flowers, and we even had hundreds of people come out for a bluegrass concert at the farm this summer! As you can imagine there is a lot of hard work to be done pulling weeds, planting bulbs, digging up bulbs at the end of the year, cutting flowers to make arrangements, and general maintenance on the farm. The farm is absolutely beautiful and you will get to experience midwest small town America! You would have your own bedroom and bathroom and would be expected to work roughly 20 hours a week and you would have plenty of time off to explore the area. We do many weekend events and the market is on saturday so you w... more inside

We are a young family living on the south side of Chicago. Laura is a high school art teacher and Cory works on local workforce development projects. We have two boys, Bayard, born January 2015, and Eugene born in February 2018. In 2012/2013 Cory and I traveled the world, and did helpX along the way. We loved our experiences and would like to provide a similar experience for fellow travelers.

We are getting settled into our first home and have a lot of small projects to make out lives more managable. There's some painting projects, light construction, gardening, making art etc. We also need help with day to day things, like cooking, doing some deep cleaning, organizing our stuff, and helping keep our household moving forward in general. Every day will be different.

We provide a comfy private room, full board, access to bicycles, and great advice for exploring the city. We expect helpXers to put in 5 four hour days a week and to help with dinner prep or clean up. We both wo... more inside

I could use a little help with some things around the yard. keep the paths clear of brush and keeping the creek cleared. not very hard stuff. I'm really easy going, you'll have plenty of free time to do whatever. the beach is close. for your help you can stay at my house for free. you just have to be responsible for your own food.

I travel a lot and make YouTube videos.
