Hi, we are Kate and Kristian.

We are putting everything together to open a hostel and eco campground where travellers can experience sleeping in the original surf wagon, a VW Bus! We have 7 VW Buses; 5 of which are very rusty shells that we need to restore!

More info.

We would be so grateful for any help getting the vehicles and hostel ready. From cleaning out and sanding down the vehicles, to painting and varnishing. You don’t need to be arty as we will probably keep them in a polished rusty style. Although if you are artistic we would also love to incorporate your skills!

Other things that we will be doing and would love help with are building bed frames for the vehicles, clearing and general tidying of the area, building the compost toilet, helping to put up shades, creating a vegetable patch, other painting, etc.

There is a shower with hot water, toilet, mini fridge, microwave oven and we have a camp stove with 2 burners for cooking. All cooking utensils, cups... more inside

We are looking for responsible travelers, who are open-minded and have a good work ethic, that can work as part of a team. We give preference to travelers that can speak English and at least some Spanish and that can stay for at least five weeks with the possibility to stay up to 8 weeks. Zero tolerance to drugs of any kind or heavy drinking.

The location is great. We are in a very pretty street at the heart of Roma Norte which is a multifaceted area. And even though the hostel is at walking distance from cafés, stores and parks in la Roma and Condesa, it is still away from the noise and hustle. It is also a few blocks away from crazy queer Juárez and Zona Rosa, and has easy access to downtown, and beautiful Coyoacan, UNAM, etc

This is a 100 hectar ranch located in the South of the Baja peninsula, Mexico. We have a tourist related business offering guided trail rides on horseback, overnight accommodations, group lunches, wine tasting and various other related activities. We prepare food from our organic gardens, orchards as well as make wine from our vineyard and tropical fruit. Just now starting into summer months and it should be known Baja Sur can be hot. As we are off the gird there is not air-conditioning in the accommodations. Fans are the best we can do. Because we are not near the beach the humidity is not bad and the pool offers a chance to cool down in the afternoon. Although summer is low season for tourism the animals, vineyard and grounds require continual care. As this is a sustainable organic farm that is off the grid and in all respects a working ranch, there are a variety of jobs helpers would be expected to assist with. As there are various systems related to the working of the ranch, we... more inside

I'm building an off the grid urban property, in beautiful San Miguel de Allende, where I have lived for the past 25 years. After spending this summer helpxing across Europe, I decided to do a little hosting myself. I have a small 200 sq meter lot with fruit trees, and some very basic construction, located 15 min. walk from the jardin. My dream is to make it into an urban oasis, that serves as a small eco-hostel, with a yoga, dance and well being center. At present I live 15 Minutes in the opposite direction, and this is where any helpxer might stay, in my home, where we would have breakfast together, maybe some yoga and then head to the land for a solid 4 to 5 hours of work, painting, gardening, building, cleaning, sewing etc. Then a good meal together at about 2.00pm after which you are on your own to explore San Miguel. 1 week minimum please.

We live on an off the grid, seasonal homestead located on the Central Coast of Baja California, Mexico. We are 1.5 hours driving, North of Guerrero Negro, 7 hours South of Ensenada off of Hwy 1 West 15km on an asphalt road to the town of Punta Santa Rosalillita, a small fishing community with around 350 inhabitants. Vista Cedros is located 8km North of PSR on a dirt road to Punta San Andreas. We have one year round neighbor, 1km away, and a ranch 3 km away.

We have a shower room, a guest room and the main house and are about 3/4 finished with the project. Our work is focussed on alternative methods of construction. At the moment, work is related to mixing adobe mud, prepping mud, cutting straw, sifting clay and sand, plastering with mineral lime plaster, sanding wood floors, hauling car tires, moving earth, painting, etc. No shortage of work, I think.

The beach and ocean are a 5 min walk down the arroyo, through sand dunes, on to a long sandy beach with a rocky headland.

We are a family of three (7 including the dogs) beginning a small community centered around earth building, healing, and sustainable practices. We recently purchased 3.7 acres of raw land two hours south of Puerto Vallarta Mexico in a very magical rural area. We're 15 minutes from Mayto as well as miles of untouched beaches. Our property has a communal open air kitchen with a palapa roof. This is currently the only area where electricity and Wi-Fi is available. We can provide basic groceries and at least one prepared meal a day. We have tent camping with linens for sleeping accommodations. The land is getting more and more developed every passing day. Our next big project is to build a small Earthbag home. We have begun gardening vegetables, herbs, palms, bananas, passion fruit, and moringa trees. We are looking into animal stewardship on the property, with ducks, goats, cows, and chickens. (Currently we just have ducks but will be getting goats in the future) Between earth buildin... more inside
