Namaste! I am Ramesh, professional outdoor leader based in Nepal. I live in a small village near Bhaktapur city with my family. In my home I have 2 rooms for volunteers who want a typical Nepali homestay with community serving opportunity. We have running hot water, wifi and organic food.

Nepal is very beautiful country, famous for its tallest mountains, natural and cultural diversity. People here are very spiritual mostly influenced by Buddhist and Hindu culture.

You can stay at my home and learn more about lifestyle of Nepalese people. To ensure your quality stay we charge you for food and accommodation, a small amount of $7per day. On this budget you can stay at my home and do volunteering services in school, farm or clubs.

Warm welcome awaits you at our home.

Kind Regards

Ramesh

Welcome beautiful people from all over the world!

We are located between the rice fields just a bit outside of Pokhara-- the perfect spot if you want to take a break from the chaos, dirty air, and the sounds of the city.

We have 5 rooms, a big dormitory and plenty of space to put up a tent or a hammock.

Our little garden is normally full of fresh vegetables and fruits, but sometimes a hungry cow or some monkeys pass by and serve themselves.... sharing right!?

Volunteers are welcome to stay here, and contribute on whatever project or idea they may dream up (or just be lazy and hang out in the hammock all day listening to the sounds of the flowing river or birds).

We ask only 850Nepalese rupees ($8) to provide you with three delicious meals a day direct from our little kitchen. We also have an outdoor clay pizza oven and free WiFi too!

Chautari is a place to relax the body, mind, and the soul; but its only a 20 minute walk down to lakeside Pokhara if you are look... more inside

Namaste, my name is Babita and I have a dream. I live with my husband and son in Pokhara, a cute and beautiful tourist destination situated at fewa lake. Since the earthquake in Nepal we try to help people who lost their houses by supporting them with food.

I have the dream to build a place for homeless families, where I can teach them how to grow food and support themselves. They are welcome to stay as long as it is needed. I want to build a sanctuary with an organic garden, so that the families can work there and sell the vegetables and fruits they harvest. My dream is that the families who leave my sanctuary have enough money to start their own farm or business and are able to leave their homeless life.

I already gathered a lot of land close to my parents home on the country side near Pokhara. It is in a mountain area with nice views. We started planting fruit trees as a fence with the help of volunteers. The next step is to create a flat area and start building houses, wh... more inside

We are looking for a volunteer to manage one of our key projects!

We prefer longer stays, ideally 3 months or more, however we can discuss this if you want to stay for a shorter period. It often takes time for a project to get underway, so a 3 month period or longer is ideal.

Your role would be to manage / co-ordinate one of our programs / projects, such as creative healing program, the Art & Book Cafe, Artists Residences or the development of a Children's Art Camp.

Most importantly we need people with excellent organizational skills, time management, people skills and of course enthusiasm and sense of fun are essential! :) An interest in art, programs, healing and culture, especially learning about Nepalese culture is important. Website and Social media skills would be very helpful as well, for promoting our organization and programs.

We are very open to new ideas and suggestions concerning our projects and if you’d like to run workshops whilst you are here you are mos... more inside

We are building a sustainable, rammed earth construction community building on a farm 20km north of Pokhara next to the village Humdi Lampata, above a beautiful valley with views of the Himalayan peaks.

The specific goal of this project is to create a space for an exchange between local farmers, eco-tourists, agri-tourists and specialists, all visiting or working on the farm. In this way, the village can profit from both tourism (through homestays), and learning organic farming techniques to keep producing high quality products. In turn, volunteers and young entrepreneurs will learn about organic, sustainable farming from permaculture specialists visiting and working for the farm. It is our hope to also make farming more profitable for the indigenous farmers through these kinds of education and community projects.

Sustainability is our driving force, which is why we chose rammed earth as our construction technique. We joined with a rammed earth construction company, which su... more inside
