This is a quirky home set in a 19th century church in the mountain village of Capel Curig in Snowdonia National Park. The property is divided into two homes and the main house is let out to self catering groups.

Travellers can enjoy fantastic hiking, climbing and mountain biking in the surrounding countryside and when at home they can chill in a lovely space and occasionally go in the hot tub or play table tennis or pool beneath a fabulous 19th century mosaic ceiling? The church is right in the middle of the Snowdonia's mountains so is a great place to stay in exchange for help!

I am looking for someone to help out approx 30 hours per week; the main jobs will be cleaning rooms, ironing, washing, cooking, dog walking etc.. but my partner is a photographer and occasionally needs an assistant on a job. Occasionally we have noisy groups in and this can be annoying.

Obviously its also a family home, with all the toys, pets and friends that that involves. You are likely to be ... more inside

We would love to have you stay with us for a month in this little piece of Cornish heaven. Our 5 acre small holding is in need of initial clearance of buildings, sheds, trees and weeds. Once the site has been cleared the operation will involve erection of stone and wooden buildings, animal pens and associated fencing.

There may be repairs to stone barns, clearing out our river and maintaining the orchards.

If you would like to learn English better then the local community has many fun activities where you can meet people and learn some traditional Cornish farming skills.

Perhaps you have some experience to bring to the table?

We are happy to house you and feed you well in our brand new guest annex complete with magical rainfall shower room over looking the quarry cliff face. Use one of our canoes down the river when the water levels allow. Feel free to borrow a bicycle and take a trip down the country lanes. For fishermen with a valid license you may want to bring your... more inside

We are a busy couple working mostly from home. I am English and Rob is Argentinian. I have a bad back and our garden and home is suffering as a result. We have been helpXers ourselves and enjoy meeting people from across the globe. We are erhem.. middle aged and would prefer helpers over 35 for a few days. I enjoy teaching english and have done so in Spain for a few months so am happy to conduct daily lessons. Our spare bedroom is full of stuff but there is a single bed in there. Helpers can have a simple breakfast and lunch but dinner will be cooked in the evenings. We dont eat red meat but do eat chicken and fish.

The jobs will be mostly normal garden and house jobs and free time will be from 3pm daily most times. Sundays preferred if you would go exp!ore and give us some private time and on Saturdays we can show you the beautiful Peak district which is 15 minutes away by car or bus. There is a train station nearby. Sorry No smokers.

We are a family with hens who live in the Yorkshire Dales, 7 miles from Skipton and Grassington and 5 miles from Malham Cove. Local attractions and places of interest include Bolton Abbey, Burnsall, Malham Cove (limestone pavement featured on Harry Potter where peregrine falcons are nesting), Kettlewell and there are many interesting walks along the river, on the fells, moors and Dalesway footpath. We are also on the white rose cycle route. There is an abundance of wildlife and birds and on clear nights the stars are beautiful. The area is steeped in history and we could point you in the direction of some 16th Century Pubs including the awesome Craven Arms famous for fantastic locally sourced food complete with a replica Cruck barn.

We live in a semi detached house which isn't huge but we have a spare room with a day bed that can accommodate a single person. We have shared bathroom facilities. There is a TV in the bedroom & we have Sky and you are welcome to watch TV in the ... more inside

***NO AVAILABILTY FROM AUGUST UNTIL MID NOVEMBER 2018***

We are based about 25miles north of Aberdeen, Scotland near villages such as Inverurie, Oldmeldrum, Daviot and Meikle Wartle. We live in a converted steading/barn and have 15 acres of land with 2 horses, 3 ponies and 2 guinea pigs. We also have an 8year old son who just loves the outdoors. We are outside whenever we can be that in the fields, with the horses, or doing general chores.

We love to horse ride and hack, gardening, skiing, motorsport, travel through to reading and maps.

We can accommodate a sole person (possibly a couple) at a time in our spare room which has wifi and we would be interested in short to medium stays. There is always something to do and there are many places to visit in the area. We also have a cottage that we rent out, 70miles away near Aviemore, so it depends on the time of year, but both set ups need help.

As many people are attracted to staying because of the outdoors and the horse... more inside
