We are a cattle station in Lakeland, 3 hours north of Cairns, 1 hour drive from Cooktown. We have about 500 cows, 8 horses, 20 chickens, some pigs, ducks, turkeys.

We need a hand on farm all year around, to help with the cows, working in the garden, some fencing and cleaning the house. In exchange you will get free food and accommodation, fresh meat and veges from our farm.

Female and males, couples are all welcome, no experience needed if you don't mind get your hands dirty. Usually you will be working in the morning and relax in the afternoon. There's plenty activities to do after work, such as fishing, swimming in the river, horse riding, bush walking. We have a pool table that you can play for free.

We can access Telstra here but unfortunately no WiFi.

This is a great place if you want some real outback experience.

About transport, there's bus from Cairns to Lakeland everyday and I can pick you up from town.

If interested please give a call or SMS. I'm no... more inside

I am a female senior citizen and would appreciate some helping hand with the gardening, garden maintenance, which includes mowing and clearing of long grass and weeds. And if you can use a brush cutter that would be wonderful but it's not compulsory. Most of four hours daily chores are not heavy work at all and do not need any elbow grease but require commitment and a positive attitude; and all diligent helpers either males or females are welcome.

My main language is English although I speak Cantonese too; and I can have two helpers at the same time. Also, I am a vegetarian and I only eat one main meal a day at lunchtime but you are welcome to use the kitchen to cook other meals. Nanango is a small country town of just six thousand residents. The property is 7 klms out of Nanango, and so I can pick you from Nanango township. There is a Purser Coach that travels from Caboolture to Murgon (and Murgon to Caboolture) daily but only in weekdays and not weekend.

I have Wi-fi as well... more inside

We are a family run business operating an Oyster Farm on sunny Moreton Island. We are happy to accept travellers and have had some wonderful experiences with wwoofers already.

Duties include, building water infrastructure, making oyster bags, culling and sorting Oysters, general farm hand on the land base and grading of oyster.

Moreton Island is remote even though close to Brisbane, we have to generate our own power via solar and also collect our own rain water. If you love nature, hiking, reading or taking photos, you will love it here.

We supply food which is eaten with the family, except breakfast, we give you that for you to have in your room. If you have a favorite meal you would like to share, we are more than happy with that.
