We moved onto the land in April 2017. It was uninhabited for many years, so needs lots of tlc to bring it back into productive use.

We are working towards an organic small holding with livestock, large garden, tree nursery and workshop. We are off grid with basic facilities - the help-xers will have their own caravan, use of compost toilet with bucket showers. We will have shared meals (mostly vegetarian). We run a small wood working business from the site and are happy to share our skills with help-exers where possible. Tasks will be varied and include help around the land everything from the garden, to building projects, to sorting and clearing land and the remaining debris.

We have two dogs, chickens and a small baby. Our land is about 14 miles from John O`Groats and is in a beautiful part of Scotland - excellent places to explore nearby and a good place to see this amazing part of the world!

We're looking for someone NOW to help sort our garden out (some heavy digging) and do some decorating and housework in Oxford UK. We also need to fit a new kitchen and some renovation/light building work. In exchange we'll give you a lovely ensuite room and meals...

The farm is set in a peaceful location in Lincolnshire close to many local attractions, the coast is only 25 miles away, the pretty market town of Horncastle is only 6 miles, across the road is the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, and Joseph Banks house is nearby.
As well as the arable side of the farm there are also 4 fishing lakes, an airstrip and a fairly new project of an Azalea and Rhododendron garden. Harvest tractor driving () in addition to free accommodation and food.

We live on a (small) smallholding in a rural location in North Wales, on the edge of Snowdonia. The setting is delightful and secluded, yet the nearest town is only 4 miles down the road, while the North Wales coast and mainline train station are 18 miles away. Walking, climbing & cycling opportunities, as well the many attractions of Snowdonia & the Coast are only a short drive away.

Our animals (dogs, cats, chickens, bees, rare-breed sheep, donkeys) rule the place and our lives, so this is for animal lovers only!
Our land is mainly pasture in two fields adjacent to the house, with a large garden with orchard & veg beds.

We are currently have availability to host from 20 August onwards, for a maximum stay of 3 weeks at a time.

We are are quite new to smallholding life so we are specifically looking for people who already have relevant skills to share, as we have a lot to learn. Work can be arranged flexibly around a mutually agreed schedule. You should be able and confid... more inside

14 MTR motor yacht which I am preparing for a complete repaint. I can not accommodate in My caravan any longer so this would suit someone that has there own accommadation (motor home or tent )I can now accommodate on my boat for 2 max. providing it is understood that it is a boat. I have lived on it for 12 years and have every appliance required for comfortable living. Due to the wet weather and my health last year I was unable to complete all the work required. I am looking for someone that can prepare and paint and also have a little carpentry experience. I am 4 miles from Inverness but do have a car to co0mute if necessary. If the weather don't permit working outside there is plenty to do in side.If interested please don't hesitate to contact me for any information you require.Unfortunately I no longer have a dog.
Kind regards

Hugh.

*** At the moment we only have space for helpers who are willing to camp (bringing their own tent, sleeping bag etc) in exchange for just 2-3 hours work a day plus 2 days off a week. Do drop me a line if you are interested :) ***

Set on the edge of the pretty fishing village of Beer on Devon`s south coast, this 39-bed Youth Hostel is in need of a willing helper over the coming months to help keep it looking it`s best.

The work here at YHA Beer mainly comprises of 4-5 hours a day of cleaning (inc making beds) with some occasional gardening and painting, and with 2 days off a week.
It`s not particularly glamorous (can include a fair share of cleaning toilets!) but the reward of living in this lovely village just a 10 minute walk to the beach, I think, makes it well worthwhile :)

Your accommodation would be in your own room in the small on-site staff flat which you`ll usually share with one other member of staff. There`s a shared bathroom and small kitchen for you to cook y... more inside

UPDATE: WE ARE NOT TAKING ANY MORE HELPX UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. THANKS.

Hi! We live in a converted windmill (see www.barringtonwindmill.com for a brief history) in about 2 acres of land including a swimming pool, with two dogs (a Basset Hound and a Springer), approximately 8 miles south-west of Cambridge. Cambridge is about 10 minutes away by train, and the nearest station is Shepreth - about 5-10 minutes by bike, which you have available to use. The same train line also gives access to London - about 50 minutes away.

We have 3 boys, Joshua (10), Phillip (8) and Henry (6), and require a Spanish-speaking mothers' help to provide (4-6 hours per weekday) assistance with looking after the boys, some housework, and occasional babysitting, in return for board and lodging (own room with free wifi). The reason for requiring a (native) Spanish-speaker is that in 2012 we returned from a 2 1/2 year stay in Seville, and we would like our boys to practice Spanish by being spoken to in this... more inside
