We're not taking any helpers at the moment as we are spending more time at our new project in Northern Ireland.

We're striving for self-sufficiency on 18 terraces of mixed fruit orchards interspersed with vegetable beds. The aim is to finally become completely independent from the moneyed economy, through providing ourselves with as much as we can and bartering / sharing for the rest.

Our main plot of land is some 10km away from our house on the other side of the valley. Due to us not having any regular income we mostly cycle or walk across.

Heavy rains just before Christmas 2010 lead to serious landslides on the terraces on our land. We are still busy repairing some of the damage and securing all the terraces before the onset of the next bout of winter rain.

Accommodation is basic, in a caravan on the land. You will be expected to partially look after yourself there. Plumbing is almost non-existent, but there are full cooking facilities and we'll provide you wi... more inside

We have a 3 bedroomed Italian farm house in beautiful Umbria with fantastic views near the town of Umbertide. The house is warm and homely and we love cooking for our guests. We have 3 very friendly cats. The garden has been recently landscaped and we need some help for 2 weeks with pruning and general garden maintenance including some wall building .

I have a small olive farm in beautiful Sabina just an hour north of Rome. I live in a lovely traditional farm house with an inviting swimming pool and two en-suite guest rooms. In exchange for accommodation (in one of those rooms), and food I need help with painting wood work, painting interior walls, gardening and clearing land. I would also like some building work done and electrical work, (usually 25 hours a week). Oh, I could do with a carpenter too.
Sabina is a beautiful rural area and famous for it's top quality olive oil. This is a mountainous region with good walking and wonderful Medieval towns and villages. Please be aware buses are few and far between and no discos but a typical bar in the village.
The nearest railway station is Stimigliano and I am happy to meet helpers at the station., and to drop them there if they want a day in Rome.
Please note I don't cater for fussy eaters. Easy veggies are fine. And I do require my helpers to have their own accident an... more inside

Deep in the green and cool countryside, between the “Monti della Laga” and the “Monti Sibillini” natural parks, elevated at just under 3300 feet from sea level, you'll see our stable.

Here you can find cattle of all ages, because we believe looking after the entire chain of growth makes us know how our meat is genuine.

Ours is not just a business; we see the organic farm as an extension of our family. We grew up in these mountains, as our children are, amongst the cattle young and old. We are used to their presence and they are used to ours. We know and respect each other.

We believe in working ethically by being respectful toward our stock. We don’t want just to propose meat, we’re selling great satisfaction to the mouth of our clients.
