Hi, I'm Frenchman (62) but used to live in USA and French Polynesia. In this Corsican village I want to give back life to my old grand father house. It's already comfortable, but need much more to be sweeter. I was a "CHEF" so cooking and eating should be good! Will spend some time in the house and in the wood. Helping in cleaning a oak tree forest and land. Helping in construction and rebuilding old traditional dry stone, fixing stone house, floor decking, wood work, concrete work, and different building projects...As well as discovering pig farming, "charcuterie" and goat cheese making. Fun and humor will be part of the job and life!

VIVRE EN PLEINE NATURE ET PARLER FRANÇAIS !! :))

We are a family of 5 (3 kids),we live in an old farmhouse that we are renovating for the second time following a fire. At the same, we're trying to start a small self-sufficient farm. We have some animals and a piece of land half covered by a small wood. We have been here for 6 years now.
We need budding animal breeders, vegetable gardeners, horse whisperers, lumberjacks, tree-planters, fence builders, carpenters, joiners, bricklayers...or simply people willing to work on the land!
We live one hour away from Toulouse, half an hour from Montauban or Gaillac. There are lots of pretty little medieval villages to see around our place and beautiful landscape to discover. You will need a driving licence if you wish to borrow a vehicle. You can also cycle to the nearby village&lake.
We can offer 3 or 4 beds (one sofa-bed) in a mobile home with kitchen and bathroom (shower)and dry toliets; mattress space in a mongol yurt next to the mobile home; mattress space in our house with shared faci... more inside

Bonjour

Hello

We are setting up an artistic and agricultural spiritual retreat in the Ardèche mountains, in order to offer an alternative life.

Work in contact with nature, spiritual practice, the expression of art in all these forms are ways of reconnecting to our inner happiness.

We are still at the beginning of the adventure. We need help for interior work (partition, electricity, roofs), but also the development of both cellar, a... more inside

We need to build our new chicken shed as the ones we bought are inadequate and falling to pieces after only a couple of years. We have a design for our 'chicken palace' and need someone to come and build it for us whilst we are busy with the house.

We are renovating a house in France in the Lot department. Our two hectares is being converted into flower garden, vegetable garden, woodland area etc.
We have two horses, two cats and lots of chickens. In the summer we are fairly self-sufficient. The weather is glorious and we love the relaxed attitudes here.

We are completely swamped with renovation work and really need some help with the vegetable garden and creating the flower garden. We are especially interested in connecting with people that have horticultural knowledge so that we can also improve our knowledge. We are also interested in anyone that has DIY skills.

We would like help from about February 2019 and through the summer until perhaps November although this is n... more inside

We discovered HelpX a while ago & we thought what a great idea to help us make progress with our renovation of stone buildings which make up a hamlet here in the middle of France.
We have lived here for 18 years with our 2 sons ( 18 & 22) having met in Amsterdam. They are bilingual in French & English & one of us speaks good Dutch but has little practice.
Three of the buildings are finished (our home & 2 holiday rentals) plus a wagon we rent out. We have 5 hectares of woodland & pastures, that surround the buildings, that need to be maintained. (This is where joining helpX comes in). To give you a better idea of what we are trying to achieve please look at our website.
We all enjoy meeting new people. We have travelled quite a bit & are happy to share our experiences & knowledge with others.
We're looking for help in developing & maintaining our extensive grounds & woodland. Helpers could stay in our wagon- depending on bookings. We have free wifi & cooking facilities.

Hello Helpxers,

We still have space for our annual volunteer weeks from 12-26 april 2019 on our permaculture and glamping farm.
In the first spring sun we are going to do the odd job like gardening, handy stuff, painting and more. Or join in for some good food, ping pong contests and hanging out around the camp fire.
There are many little things to do, but it is also dependent on what you have to offer us. There is lots of cleaning to do in the garden, starting up the veggie garden, work in the new young orchard, painting jobs, some carpentry, fencing. For the very handy people there is also space for little projects.

What we Ask
We are looking for independent workers who are not afraid for some physical work. You stay a minimum of one week, but of course you are welcome to join us for both the weeks. We are open to men and women (we don’t receive children this week). The work is quite fysical, so if you have serious back or knee problems this probably is not for you.

Bonjour and Hello,

We are a family of 5 (plus a very friendly dog, 2 cats, 11 assorted hens and a cockerel!) We have 3 sons (17,14,11) who moved from the UK in 2007 to this amazing spot in the Aude . We live in a former bergerie situated amidst beautiful wooded hills 3km from the small village of Arques on the edge of the Corbieres hills.

We grow a lot of our own vegetables and herbs and some of our own fruit all naturally. We are experimenting with different natural cultivation techniques to find ones that work best here and working with a variety of mulching materials.
We have a small organic market garden the produce of which we sell in the village and to the local primary school. We also exchange produce with friends.
Much of our land is marginal and needs help to become capable of providing good healthy crops. After 9 years of growing here the improvements are showing themselves through some yummie-tasting veggies.
We have a polytunnel which in winter is full o... more inside
