Our place is 1.4 hectares of former farmland with fabulous views overlooking Cors Caron National Nature Reserve in mid Wales. Our permaculture design has helped it to grow enormously in biodiversity- it is a lovely place to be. We grow most of our own veg & fruit- much of the latter in forest gardens and have a large area devoted almost entirely to nature. As well as being professional conservationists, both of us are passionate about permaculture and organic gardening. Angie teaches courses and we have an extensive library of books, magazines and DVDs which helpers are free to browse. We have a dog, a cat,a few chickens and two geese but no other livestock. Accommodation is in a spare bedroom in our house. Itís also possible to arrange to visit the famous Centre for Alternative Technology near Machynlleth on your day off!

Beautiful old cottage and 'gardens' in the Tamar Valley, Cornwall, an area of outstanding natural beauty - between Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, one mile (on foot) to the River Tamar, half an hour to the south coast and one hour to the north coast (by car).

Sue (Mum) and Grace (daughter) live here, Marcus lives up the hill, and various friends and family visit and join in. We are in the third year of a new plan for our land. Sue has been here for 35 years, raised a family, grown food, flowers and herbs, worked as a healing therapist and run courses and ceremony.

Much of the land is sloping, with limited sunlight hours but last year we got a south-facing flat piece of land! Our aim is to develop a new community project to grow more food, keep more chickens, plant a new orchard and develop the healing and community side with an emphasis on reconnecting with nature for health.

Whatís needed is enthusiasm and flexibility for a wide variety of tasks Ė and extra strength and physic... more inside

I'm looking for someone to help house sit and doggy + Guineapig sit during summer. July into August 2019. I don't want to mention dates outright here- as that doesn't seem sensible.

We also have a lodger whom regularly uses the property in another room. He is lovely and very trust worthy person whom we've known for over 12 months. He is in and out at his leisure for work.

Our dog is a lovely cavalier King Charles. As passive and lovely as they come. He would need to be walked once each day and fed twice a day. Leaving him on his own for not more than 4 hours at a time. He is a sensitive soul and just loves cuddles on the sofa.

We have four guineapigs - They need food each day.

About Us:
We are a family of three living in a good size three bed semi in a highly desirable English country village. I am an artists painter and my husband is a law manager, we have an eight year old boy. The village has local shop, butcher, bakery and 4 pubs. 15 minute walk to the close by tow... more inside

Hello! Happy New Year. Looking forward to Spring!

Looking for a help for the rest of March 2019

I'm looking for a versatile and flexible person to help me with various things in my business (self employed therapist) and home/garden.

For business... website updates, admin, social media updates. If you are tech savvy, then great!

Around house - cooking, light housework, painting, walking the dog. Garden: sweeping up, bit if cutting back, weather permitting.

About Us:
We are a family of 3 (2 kids, aged 14 & 12) and Eddsie the dog. We love music which we play fairly frequently so we would probably not be suitable for someone who likes peace all the time! However lots of quiet times here too.

Our Village:
We live in a brilliantly situated village called Forest Row. It is 1 hour on the train to London, and a 40 minute drive to the vibrant sea-side city of Brighton. Historic market town of Lewes and the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells can also be reache... more inside

Robert and I are the third generation of our family living and working on our livestock farm situated in the beautiful Kyle of Sutherland, approximately 40 miles North of Inverness in the Scottish Highlands. Our family are grown up and away from home now and we enjoy having young (and not so young) helpers on the farm. We have been HelpX hosts for the past six years but have hosted travellers on the farm for many, many years, some of them returning year after year. We breed Aberdeen Angus cattle and North Country Cheviot sheep. We also have horses and working border collie dogs. The farm is very beautiful, situated on the South bank of the Kyle of Sutherland (a large river) and surrounded by miles of forest trails for walks long and short. We have bicycles which you may borrow to explore the local area and we can suggest interesting destinations withing cycling distance. There is a train station approx` 100 meters from the farm house which connects to Inverness and Thurso/Wick, its... more inside
