Hi travellers

Our home and organic garden is in New Town on a frequent bus route into Hobart - about 10 minutes by bus or 5 minutes by car. The Airporter bus stop is an easy walk around the corner and shops and cafes are a 15 minute walk away.

We are a busy couple living in a heritage listed 19th century Georgian Victorian home which we are restoring using traditional 19th century techniques. If you love old houses and old stuff then our place is for you. We are looking for help from mid to late May doing unskilled work on the house and general help getting the place into order. Non smoker preferred.

My farm is small these days as the children have grown and left home, however, I need some help getting the vegi garden up to scratch, planting perennial vegies, raising plants and some weeding & mulching.
My property has an acre of lush ornamental garden and is surrounded by bush. There are bush walks close and we are 4km from the beautiful Port Cygnet.
I have a working stained glass studio and teach Art and Tasmanian History here.

We live in a lovely area with views of the mountain and the river. We have a small house with a little bungalow/laundry that has a very comfy bed. Living arrangements would include a shared bathroom and kitchen. Work hours and food provision all negotiable. We both work 6 days a week so we haven't a lot of spare time to tend our house garden and animals. We are looking for helpers for projects such as garden, landscaping, painting inside our house and general chores.

We would prefer single people or couples who are looking to explore the area. Ideally a 1-2 week stay which would include 4 hours work a day as well as weekends off for free-time. In exchange for accomodation, wifi access, evening meals.
Of course theses details are flexible depending on individual needs.

We are 10 mins drive from
Hobart and at the gateway to the Channel and the Huon. There are bus stops about 10 mins walk from our house, and help with transport could be offered if required.

Hello!
We are a family of 5. Alex, Laura, Ethan (14), Caleb (12), Erin (9). We also have some cows, chickens, two lovable dogs, and 1 budgie. We live out in the bush, 15 minutes from Deloraine and Meander. We have no neighbors, just peace, quiet and beautiful views. We are surrounded by native forest reserves and eucalyptus plantations. We also live by the beautiful Meander River, which is great for cooling off after a day of work.

We need help cutting firewood. Alex is still healing from a shoulder injury and can not cut firewood for us this year. We need someone who can work with a chainsaw or who is willing to learn. You also need to be able to chop wood with an axe. This would be weekend work, when Alex is home from his job. You would need to do 4-5 hour days on the weekend. This would include cutting and chopping wood under Alex's supervision. Then loading cut firewood into vehicle, and unloading wood in our wood shed.

In return, we offer you your own bedroom ... more inside
