Generally my preference is for horticultural or gardening skills. Retired folks welcome. I offer home-style accommodation, a variety of cuisine (vegetarian available), inter-net connection, located 20-25 mins South of Cairns, regular bus transport available. Cairns is one of the main gateways to the Great Barrier Reef. Gordonvale is ideally situated on the Mulgrave River allowing easy access to the Tablelands sitting nicely in between Cairns, Innisfail and Mission Beach, offering beautiful swimming holes, walking tracks, rafting adventures and small town country living. The Queensland style home has a lovely deck opening onto an in-ground salt water pool, surrounded by tropical gardens, in a quiet neighbourhood (more photos available). Guests are invited to do a small amount of light duties, housework, cooking, gardening or maintenance approx. 3 to 4 hrs per day energy exchange for accommodation and meals (shared preparation). Non-smokers only, no drugs.

Looking for someone to live on an island, look after sick turtles, feed wallabies and enjoy some central QLD island lifestyle!

Situated 5km from Gladstone, on the Central Queensland coast, Quoin is a wonderful island full of character and wildlife, we often see Dolphins,Turtles, the occasional Shark along with an array of birds.

Your role as a volunteer would be to fulfill animal care duties along with other small tasks. We house one of Queenslandís most prominent Turtle Rehabilitation Centres in which we care for sick and injured Sea Turtles. We currently have 10 gorgeous Turtles in the facility, all with huge personalities! Along with the turtles the island has a very friendly mob of Pretty Faced Wallabies and various nocturnal animals which you will also get to spend time with and care for!

Each day on Quoin is different and whilst our work is mainly caring for the Turtles we have other tasks to complete, this will include:

Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

Welcome traveller :)

We can take you for a minimum of two weeks.

Longer-term stay is preferred for a compatible person. There is a short trial period so both you and I together can decide if we will extend your stay.

You will enjoy our family home nestled in beautiful Australian rainforest just outside Brisbane. Our home is not in the city.

You will see wildlife, birds, reptiles, lots of nature and kangaroos.

Our home is 40 minutes drive to Brisbane city. There is no public transport, however, I drive to the outer suburbs a couple of times a week and can take you with me. From there you can catch many choices of public transport.

You will be staying with a household of 5 others, two cats and me.

You get three meals a day and accommodation in exchange for five hours of work a day. If you stay for a week you have two days off.

Your tasks are housework, cooking, cleaning and a little garden work. Occasionally there is some bui... more inside

We run a small beef breeding property an hour and a half north west of Brisbane. We are in the process of improving pastures and improving the fertility of our rotational grazing system. We also have an extensive organic (not certified) vegetable garden and orchard for home use, and a large native garden. We have horses, ducks, chooks, 1 cat, 2 dogs and a pet kangaroo. We run the local vet clinic which means occasionally we have an extra critter to care for in our world. We have a separate 2 bedroom cottage for accommodation for helpers and look forward to introducing our 3 primary school aged children to some cultural diversity.

I am looking for a peaceful, warm-hearted helper to welcome in to my home to help with various household and/or gardening work, depending on your interests. My family and I live in the beautiful Currumbin Valley (southern Gold Coast) surrounded by lush gardens and lots of wildlife - kangaroos outside your bedroom window. There is a beautiful creek and you will also have access to the community swimming pool and library. There are weekly meditation, yoga and qi gung classes held in the village.

We are a family with two young children and we try and fill our house with love, peace, warmth and joy. Any special talents you have such as musical instruments or circus tricks will be warmly welcomed and you will have a keen and receptive audience :-)

Normally I'd expect four hours work a day but I'm flexible in that you could do a full days' work and then have the next day off - I'm more interested in finding the right person to welcome in to my home, and then we can work something ... more inside

I am looking for someone to help with childcare for my 5 year old daughter. Mainly this would be when I have to work on weekends or evenings. My daughter is in full time childcare during the day so you would have a lot of free time and sometimes be free for days at a time to go exploring. I also have a campervan you may be able to use.
We live in a beautiful house in Graceville very close to the train, cafes and cinema. 15 mins to the city on public transport,
The room has a double bed and a desk.
We have two large living spaces inside the house and can fix you up with a bike.
I am currently working as a doctor but for the last few years I have mainly been doing puppet shows, making movies and illustrating a book. I have a piano.
With my daughter we love to be outdoors and go bike riding in the afternoons. She has recently become a BMX fan. She also loves swimming, ballet and singing and if I can drag her up a hill to watch the sunset or moon rise we do that whenever p... more inside

** WELCOME TO THE SUNSHINE COAST **

Come and stay with us :-)

We are a 2 child family (aged 9 & 12) living outside the funky market town of Eumundi, 25 mins to the beaches of Noosa. There's lots to see in the area, we love nature, have bikes to ride and for longer stays there are opportunities to borrow our canoe to take up the Noosa River to camp for the weekend. The property has plenty of space and beautiful views with lots of plans to turn it into a productive organic oasis.

Current inside jobs include assisting Arzu in her craft studio & general cleaning. Outside work is weeding, raking and helping with the chickens. This will all be with guidance from us so it's fine if you have never done this before. Just be ready to learn. :-)

You can start early and spend the day at the beach or exploring the area. Own car would be needed for daily trips to the beach though.

We try to give visitors a variety of jobs to keep it interesting or to suit the weather where poss... more inside

Welcome to Cairns. I am a 45 year old solo dad with three great boys who are a massive part of my life. I have a modest house with a pool and a/c. which is centrally located and about one min to bus and fifteen mins to town. Once you get over the 400 football boots, sports shoes, thongs and other stuff in the doorway you will find the house to be spacious with nice views and more than comfortable.
I have a room with a double bed avail and a bathroom which you will have to share with my two youngest boys 7 and 10 who will most certainly have left their towels on the floor beside their school uniform (we are working on this). Meals are also included as we generally all eat together.
I am a high school teacher who works full time and when I am not, I am at kids sport or doing my own running swimming, riding or something. Any of this you are welcome to join me or i am happy to give advice and point you in the right direction.
I will give you lifts where I can and you are welcome to u... more inside
