Hello Fellow Travelers

This farm is nestled into the Irish countryside in the beautiful county of Kilkenny. Our little farmstead with all it's rustic limestone/slate roofed buildings is set along the banks of the river Nore and is roughly 10km from the historic and medieval city of Kilkenny. If you know anything about Kilkenny it is that the people here are well acquainted with the wandering traveler and are proud to say they come from this alternative and creative county in Ireland.

It is in the spirit of this way of thinking that we are in the process of developing this place to use an alternative mindset to try create a sustainable, self sufficient living project with organic and permaculture practices at the heart of our endeavors. This is already a huge learning experience for us and any of that learning we are certainly happy to share.

Don't be fooled by our playful name. It represents an easy going outlook on life that is highly influenced by nature and we love that... more inside

We own a beautiful property in West Cork near Bantry Bay.

We have three acre's of extensive gardens with a river running through. All our gardening is organic and we have fresh well water.

We have on going projects all year round. At the moment we are looking for helpers to build a wall and help with gardening, house work and making a new pond.

We would love people who like to cook and who are clean and tidy as we have a sociable household

The cabin we host out is a small dwelling with cooking facilities so you have the option to be private or join in with the main house. There is no shower facility in the cabin, but there is a compost toilet.

We have a 10 year old sun so we are happy for an older child to come. Preferably it would be best if you have transport but this is not a necessity for we live 5 miles from the nearest village.

There are some beautiful public hiking trails around our area and we are also on the wild atlantic way.

I speak Spanish and ... more inside

I live in a very rural area on the north west coast of County Donegal. The village consists of a pub, post office and shop and the nearest town, Dungloe, is 6 miles distant. I have 9 rescue dogs and a number of cats still living here from my time in animal rescue. The cats live in separate accommodation to the house but my dogs are all house dogs. I also have two Shetland ponies. I am away for most afternoons so I require a helper to keep my dogs company and walk them on the beach when the weather is good and to spend a little time with the ponies and generally keep an eye on them and muck out the stable each day which all can be done in 2 or 3 hours. You will be confident and at ease with working on your own and hopefully have experience of dogs and horses. You will have plenty of time to yourself to explore the numerous beautiful beaches here in Donegal. This hosting would suit a person who likes the outdoors and of course loves animals. I can only cater for vegetarians. The ac... more inside

We are located on the Cooley peninsula. It is a beautiful piece of land that is in the Tipping family since 1723. It contains a stunning period house, 200 acres of arable land and 200 acres of broad leave woodlands. The estate has a management aim that has changed from intense dairy farming to organic food production along side sustainable tourism activities. We manage the estate through various activities including farming organic beef. The land is also used to host music festivals, the Louth agricultural show and other events throughout the year. The woodlands are constantly under restoration which includes the removal of loral and invasive species. We also run mountain biking, airsoft and have a horse riding school along side the farm. The land is managed by a young team that is very energetic, respectful and always keen to learn new information and skill share. The diversity of tasks can range from animal husbandry to prepping the house for a wedding and everything in between. ... more inside

We are a family living on a smallholding in Lovely Leitrim at the foothills of Sliabh an Iarainn (Iron mountain). We have 3 lively and fun children under 11, as well as ducks, 2 donkeys, a dog and a cat. We aim to live a low impact, healthy lifestyle and in the time we've been here, we've planted native trees, orchards and soft fruit bushes. We have a polytunnel that hasn't been used in the past couple of years and an area we would like to develop into a vegetable garden.

We are a family of six, with just one teenager at home at present. We have cats and a dog. We are on a bus route to Galway which runs regularly except at night. There is also a good hackney service. Spiddal village is not too far away and is good to go to in the evening for food and entertainment. Also we are close to the airport and or the ferry that services the Aran Islands.

We are a family of four, who bought this wonderful place just over a year ago. We are situated very close to the shores of Lough Graney, which is well known for its coarse fishing. The property's boundary is the river Bleach, also abundant with trout, pike and perch.

We are a well known kennel of Pyrenean Mountain Dogs, and we occasionally exhibit at Championship shows in Ireland, UK & Europe. We also have 2 horses, poultry & goats.

We need help with fencing, ground work for establishing a vegetable garden, & caring for our animals. We are particularly looking for help from mid June to end of July
