Hello all!

We are a relatively new, open-hearted community in the southwest of France. With joy and pioneering spirit we, a good dozen residents aged between 27 and 73, create our new living space. Our organic farm, a former domain, is located on a beautiful southern slope in the Malpère hills in the Aude region. About two thirds of our land (86 hectares in total) consists of forest, which we use gently. On the other third we run a variety of organic vegetable gardens and on the farmland we have planted fruit and nut trees and prepare our fields for organic crops and pastures. Some donkeys, ponies, sheep and horses have moved in. Chickens and goats are planned. We are also interested in alternative cultivation methods such as permaculture and agroforestry which should be realized here. Also for Landart beats our heart.

You have freedom for individual and creative projects here. Culturally we offer a music-, cinema- and dance room, a diverse music and film archive, a paintring... more inside

We are a family of 4(& many pets) living in the beautiful rural village of Murs within the National Luberon Park, Provence. We are currently in the process of renovating our home, creating a landscaped garden, building a courtyard, clearing our forest and carrying out work in our horses paddocks. We would be grateful of help with a wide variety of tasks which consist of general DIY, gardening, dry stone wall building, forest clearing etc. and therefore our volunteers ideally would have some experience in using tools and gardening equipment/machinery. We would like to invite you to come and eat and drink with us at family meal times. In return we offer a comfortable independent fully furnished cottage and in return we ask for about 4-5 hours work each day. If you feel you are able to help, please do contact us for further information. Additional paid works may also be available.

Hello Helpers, Greetings from sunny SW France. We are seeking 1 or 2 people to stay with us any time between right now and mid-April. We need to get the garden sorted out. Mostly lots of weeding (maybe tidying and cleaning in the house if it rains!) But at present it's pleasant and sunny. We can offer a warm and friendly welcome with great food, lovely location, excellent accommodation, and 3 gorgeous cats. We primarily need help in the garden: weeding, raking, planting, staking, pruning, etc. And if one of you is good at DIY, we usually have a few odd jobs of repair or maintenance that need doing at any time.

We live in a big house at the end of a no-through road, among Bordeaux vines - lovely and tranquil with little traffic to disturb our 3 cats! We have an indoor heated pool so you can swim whenever you like and it's always about 28 degrees.

Mel is a great cook; apart from International cuisine, he can do Chinese, Indian, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, Malaysian etc. We are n... more inside

Hi,
We are a British couple who run a Chambre d’hôte and restaurant in a small village in rural France. The village has a Café, Post Office, Hairdresser and, of course, our bar bistrot. There are walks and cycle trails in the area. We are happy to show you around the area when time permits.

We are looking for people, preferable couples or duos, to help us with general maintenance, housework, gardening, room changes, etc. In exchange, we offer an en-suite double or twin room, with use of a communal kitchen. We ask that you work with us on average 5 hours a day for 5 days a week, with flexibility required, and offered according to the season.

This is an opportunity to practice your english, french and other languages with our customers and friends, and to experience a very laid back village life. If you want to immerse yourself in the french culture, and talk to local expats, then this is for you.

We are a non smoking establishment, which includes the accommodation. ... more inside

We bought our barn 20 years ago and have been restoring it since, it is now comfortable warm and spacious with a friendly feel when you walk through the front door. but as with all old houses there is always something to do.
We need somebody able to help with some outside projects, for example painting, wood stacking and some digging.4hrs work per day in exchange for room and food
We have 4cats (spoilt) 1 dog (Old) and 6 goats(no milking required just a piece of bread or two or three).
Juliet loves walking and we are in a local walking group and she often goes out to find new routes for the Monday walks. We are involved in the local commune and tend to have more french friends than English so language is improving.

SPRING IN RURAL FRANCE

We are Sue and Paul, we live in our French Farmhouse which has been renovated (still the land/barns to do). We are looking for some help between February and June 2019 and prefer a minimum stay of 2 weeks. There is still lots of work to be done.

There are plenty of jobs whatever your skills:

Lots of painting! Windows, doors, shutters, garden furniture, etc.

Large patio to lay, I can lay the paving but some help with moving paving and shovelling sand would be a fantastic help.

The boundary stone wall needs rebuilding

We are trying to increase the size of our kitchen garden and hope to set up some no-dig beds.

Also we have a very old Massey Pony tractor to help with ploughing, so anyone with knowledge/experience of these would be helpful.

We aim to be reasonably self sufficient (organic) within the next 3 years. At the moment we have 2 sheep (hopefully lambs soon), chickens and 2 dogs.

Volunteers may have to share a room but ... more inside

We are looking for a capable clean and tidy male/female/couple to live in the fully equipped, separate entry modern flat which is 60 sq metres, in Vosges, France, a forested , hilly area with skiing close by. Their working day will probably be a flexible 3 to 4 hours helping in the house and garden. This entails bringing an untouched patch with huge potential under control. We have animals, including dogs and a small Cat's Rescue charity. A horse carer/rider is welcome to enjoy our pets. They will need their own transport. They may be given a small allowance over and above the free rental, heat light and water, to be agreed. They will hopefully speak English and have or learn French. The location is Vosges, France. Interviews will be conducted by arrangement, preferably on site to see the location and requirements."

We live in a beautiful part of France, and we are looking for flexible independent helpers, to help us.
We are looking for help at the moment to restore a barn, we would like to joint and render à stone wall with lime rendering. The garden also needs some work, weeding, trimming, cutting, etc. as well as some painting/restoration work on the buildings and garden furniture .
Building or gardening experience is valued, but common sense and good attitude are always a plus. Some of the work can be physically demanding, so be ready to sweat!

In exchange for 4_5 hours a day, we offer accommodation and meals with us, and hopefully some nice evenings learning new stuff, and having a laugh.
St Jean de Paracol is a very small village, with a good atmosphere and with plenty of great places around to visit, particularly for those who enjoy walking.
