*** PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME TO READ THIS PROFILE ***

***** I have looked at a lot of helpx profiles and I know that we are offering helpx so much more than many other hosts, so it is really important that you are NOT lazy, child abuser, or racist. My family is not perfect, but we try really hard to make our helpx feel comfortable. ****

We are looking for a female aupair to take care of our kids (son is 10 years and daughter is 7 years).

You must be:

- willing to clean the house, time conscious and understanding - someone that will fit into our home setting.
- flexible and is willing to help out.
- willing to treat our home and family like yours.

You must not be a smoker and we will prefer someone who is not vegetarian or fussy with food because in the past it has been difficult cooking food for people with multiple dietary requirements.

Ideally our home is for someone that:

- truly enjoys spending time with children
- enjoys spending time at parks

My partner and I and three young children (4 and under) live about 3 miles from Biggar (the nearest town) where a bus can be taken. Edinburgh is about 25 miles and Glasgow just under 40 miles away.

We both have agricultural related jobs but we do not live on a farm. Currently I am on maternity leave. I am looking for someone who can help for about 4 hours a day. Work may involve gardening including weeding, planting, harvesting, lawn mowing, strimming, or painting fences. Indoor work may include help with general household chores. We have not lived here long so we are doing a few home improvements we might need a bit of help with, such as painting. You don't need to have experience with children but to like children would be good. Help might be needed to assist me with the children. We can decide upon the jobs depending on what your strengths and preferences.

We can be flexible on when you work your hours so that you can make the most of the area whilst you are here.... more inside

Home with fruit nuts, vegetables, trees.

We are new to helpX. We are 10km from Dover, and close to a local train station Shepherdswell, would like to host 1 or 2 visitors for 3 to 5 days, for general help in garden, no skills needed except to be physically fit. You can stay in the house or camp. We are happy to cook for you, generally vegetarian, but you can eat fish/meat no problem.

We are close to historic English towns eg Canterbury, and beaches.

Hours/days of help are negotiable, though a good idea might be a short day of 6 or so hours then a day off.

Please email with short description of yourself, your experience of gardening, what you hope to do.

We are unlikely to be able to help you if you are looking for a stay at short notice i.e. Within a week or so.

My place is a mooring on which I have two narrowboats with a big garden. It is within easy reach of Leicester but based in a country park so plenty of wildlife and open spaces to exlore on the doorstep. I have a variety of smaller boats like dingies and kayaks which can be used and am a keen cyclist. The leicestershire countryside is fantastic for cycling. I can show you round by bike if requested.

I have cabins on the land for accomodation and often have bonfires and cook outside. The place is offgrid apart from water and I do have broadband on a landline. I am into being sustainable and use composting toilets, I am vegetarian but do eat fish.

I am an experienced helpx volunteer and I expect 25 hours a week and welcome mature people of all ages who are prepared to get stuck in and work using their initiative. The jobs might include gardening, painting, firewood preparation, cooking, helping to build staging etc. I'd particularly like someone who can do plumbing or electrics ... more inside

We live near a beautiful remote beach just outside of the village of Tighnabruaich on the stunning west coast of Scotland. My husband and myself need seasonal help from Easter until the end of September/beginning of October and are looking to offer accommodation in your own room in our house, (the room has bunks plus a double bed in it so it would suit a single person, or ideally 2 friends or a couple), plus some meals in exchange for help with running our pop up cafe that we run from a marquee in our grounds through the summer months (this is very weather dependent and mainly busy at the weekend and during school holidays) plus a bit of help around the house and grounds (mowing lawns, gardening, cleaning our holiday let, housework, ironing and general maintenance plus helping with our 4 dogs and 2 cats for us when we are working or if we occasionally go away overnight) Its nothing very demanding or time consuming, and you would get plenty of free time. We are an easy going sociable... more inside

We’re looking for some volunteers, ideally couples or pairs of friends (individuals are welcome too) to help with our various projects over the next few months. These are mainly site maintenance, general tidying/cleaning, tree planting & tree nursery work. Being handy and good at DIY would be great, a background in maintenance would be extremely helpful.

Comrie Croft is an award winning eco-campsite, mountain bike centre, group accommodation and wedding venue set on a 230-acre estate in rural Perthshire. We are a more than profit business who are working hard to achieve our vision of rural regeneration and getting back to our crofting roots.

Our estate is home to a large steading, cosy farm house, barn/cow shed event space, 7 Nordic Kata’s (kind of like a tipi), meadow and woodland camping pitches and some of the best compact downhill mountain biking trails in Scotland. Also on site are a few small businesses who share our passion, Tomnah’a Market Garden, The Tea Garden (... more inside

Our wee (newly refurbished) hostel is roughly 40 minutes drive from Inverness. Right on the banks of probably the most iconic lochs in Scotland - Loch Ness. The only hostel in the world with direct access to the loch!

We are looking for volunteers to assist with the daily hostel duties - primarily cleaning. Tasks include; making beds, vacuuming floors, cleaning showers and toilets - anything that ensures that the hostel is clean and comfortable for our guests.

In exchange for either working about 4 hours per day for either 4 days/week for accommodation, or 6 days/week for food allowance (£35) and accommodation in our staff dorm, free breakfast daily, free laundry service, free WiFi and free unlimited tea, coffee and hot chocolate! Not to mention the awesome friends you will make with people from all over the world.

Please note that we are pretty isolated, in the sense that there are no shops out here (ASDA/Tesco do deliver), just us and maybe a monster or two out here. Als... more inside
