I am a qualified herbalist working in a retail unit as a sole trader in a busy tourist town. I make all my own ointments, creams, organic herbal tea blends, soaps and work with organic tinctures in my role as a practising herbalist.
I need someone to help in the manufacturing side of the business and will offer food and accomodation to a suitable person/persons.
I am willing to teach those interested in herbalism about herbs and their uses and benefits, how to make herbal soaps, ointments, creams, lotions, tea blends and more.
Volunteers would be required to assist in the retail side of the business at times though this is only a secondary requirement.
I am passionate about my work and am happy to share my knowledge with a suitable interested person/persons.
Dingle is a busy tourist town and is world reknowned for its beauty and wild lanscapes and beaches.

We have a smallholding in a beautifully scenic area. Right now we need help creating a large wildlife pond, most of the digging is done, but the edges still need adjustment so if you want to come play ponds, dig some and probably get wet then this could be fun. We are also looking for someone with gardening skills to take on the veg garden for the season, seed sowing starts around March, through to the last harvests in the autumn. For the first two weeks of may we need people who like to clean and paint. There are also numerous carpentry jobs and non specific tasks. Also anyone with natural building skill, there may be a project for you. Accommodation is basic and there are compost toilets. would possibly suit 2 travelling together. Good English is essential.

Cottage/wannabe smallholding with large garden/chicken run/polytunnel

I've just moved into this wonderful property and am doing some renovations on the house to make it ready to BnB next year. I am interested in applying as much permaculture principles as possible and making the place a beautiful respite for visiting urban dwellers.

I also have a small business selling organic vegetable plants, herbs and wheatgrass. So the garden is getting a bit neglected and I would love some help to get it under control and producing more food. Help in the house would also be appreciated - cooking, decorating, painting, cleaning, woodwork etc.

Accommodation is within the house and relatively basic. The cottage is open plan and bathrooms are shared so would not suit someone overly fond of their privacy. There are lots of animals around too.

Work would be 4 hours a day for 5 days of the week. the cottage is a walking distance from the busy market town of skibbereen, a few miles from th... more inside

Experienced tree nursery or orchard/fruit farm volunteers to live and work on a beautiful, remote hill farm in the hills above Bantry. The farm keeps a herd of organic rare breed Dexter cattle, has a tree nursery and is starting blueberry farming

It's situated 6km from the sea, and 10kms from Bantry market town, on the slopes of the largest mountain in Co Cork. It's remote, 2km from nearest house, has stunning view, beautiful trees, stream and plenty of peace.

You live in a separate self contained wooden chalet as pictured, with a view as pictured and a balcony to enjoy it from. There's also a separate old stone bedroom that could accommodation another person or couple.

The work would be part time but serious and suitable for those with experience or those willing to stay for several months to learn the ropes. There's green veg in the garden all year and fruits / rhubarb in season plus great organic beef.

Please only apply if your serious about working part time and... more inside

Just under an acre of land. Some fruit trees and bushes and a neglected veg patch. For this year the area needs some landscaping , tidying and spring sowing and planting.i'm also hoping to get a polytunnel so may need help to get that started. Perhaps may create a moveable hen run. I'm also exploring permaculture design and encouraging some wild plants. That said I'm still grass-cutting for now.
Accommodation is provided in my home. Vegetarian food is provided and we may share cooking. 4 hours garden work is generally in the morning but this time is flexible and may depend on the weather.. I've a great love of the nearby Burren and play some traditional music so helpers will experience this. I'm outside town so if you want to explore independently you'll need transport.
I speak english, irish, french and am working on spanish.
Autistic people are particularly welcome if your sensory needs can be accommodated.
Look forward to hearing from you!
Joan
