1 room available in a good size 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house, good living areas.

Great location, close proximity to Scarborough Beach (approx 2 kms), bus transport services, food outlets, restaurants, cafes etc. 10-12 minutes by road from City, subject to traffic.

Regarding cultural exchange, I'm from East Kimberley and specialise in, and teach, Aboriginal history and culture in Western Australia. I will provide information to guests on this very interesting area. I can also provide contacts for things to do in Perth and other parts of Western Australia.

Our home was constructed in 1865 and now has extensive gardens, runs cattle and sheep and is 15 minutes from Bridgetown. The gardens have many very old English trees (oaks, elms) and in winter there is a series of ponds and waterfalls. We have a small vineyard and make wine each year for family and friends. In the mornings many small birds can be seen in the garden. On our lake we normally have geese, ducks and black swans. Around the homestead there are often lots of kangaroos and emus

We have a separate small 100 sq metre new apartment that is often vacant. It is furnished with all facilities and located about 100 metres from the main homestead. You would stay in the apartment.

We would like to have either singles or a couple for short (2-3 weeks) or long term 3-6 months) stays.

You would be expected to work 15 hrs per week in the gardens, around the house and with animals (feeding etc) in exchange for accommodation. No food.

WIfi is available and you would need... more inside

Well, where to start! For some years I have been taking in guests through another website, and have now decided to give HelpX a go.

HELP EXCHANGE TASKS

As I live on a small strata lot, the help I need is limited to house and garden tasks.

Installing skirting around internal floors
Cooking
Cleaning
Gardening
Child-minding
School busy-bees
maybe some painting and brick laying.

I prefer people to stay between 2 days and up to a week. I will provide accommodation and dinner in exchange for about 2 hours help in and around the house. Internet access is also available. You are welcome to come along to family outings. I love going to the beach, live music events and hiking. It will work better for me if you provide your own breakfast and lunch.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENT
There is one room available for private use which can accommodate one or two people. A shared bathroom and toilet is available. Bedding and towels, etc. will be provided.

We're a family of three - myself and two boys aged 4 & 6 - living in a happy little house in a suburb close to the fabulous town of Fremantle. We're near the river and a short drive or bike ride to the beaches of Perth.

I'm looking for a someone who can help with school runs, babysitting, cooking, cleaning and some odd jobs in the garden. In exchange I can offer a cosy room with a double bed, food, internet access and a garden to relax in.

Public transport is a short walk away, so you can explore Fremantle and Perth city.

Our current helper has been with us three months and has had a job in Fremantle and busy social life, which has worked well as I prefer someone who is really independent. But at the same time, you will be warmly welcomed into our little family.

If this is of interest please send me a message and tell me a bit about yourself, and how long you are looking for somewhere to stay for.

Hi There,
We are a quiet couple with a 3yo son living in the outskirts of the Perth suburbs. I have an organic gardening business and a charity that I run so there is always plenty to do.
At our home we have chickens, a fish pond, cats and an old dog. We have fruit trees and vegetable gardens and are backing onto bushland, in fact there is alot of bush land and walking areas near our home. We are 20 minutes drive away from the beach and 35 mins away from the city. Public Transport and shops are close.
We are looking for someone to help in the garden and around the house, as well as possibly working for cash or volunteering in the business or charity.
We are a very easy going home, vegan or vegetarian friendly.
We are offering a place to stay and good company, in exchange for 3 hours a day, 5 days per weeks work, some gardening, help with the animals, tidying up, house work, and some occasional cooking. Basic vegan meals are provided.
Wi-Fi included and your own room with sepa... more inside
