We live on a lifestyle block of 17 acres, just 10 minutes from Whangarei. We currently have 9 sheep, 8 calves and a collection of chickens. We have quite a large vege garden.
We would like help mainly with childminding and the garden. There are 2 children, Jesse age 3 years and Elijah age 9 (disabled) and there may be some household tasks. Our expectation is that you would fit in with what needs to be done each day for approximately 4 hours. We would love to host a willing worker and include you in family activities. Your own car would be helpful but we are in and out into town often so you will be able to get rides. A lovely self contained separate cottage is available from 14 July to 17 August for the right person.
Please no late sleepers!!

Do you want to help for a few days near Whangarei? Mainly outdoor work, and sometimes inside. Helper accommodation requires removal of wallpaper. Some landscape and garden maintenance urgently needs to be done.

We are looking for a non-smoking couple, preferably with your own transport, wanting to stay for a few days to help. Please apply by email link, telling us about your skills.

Hello! I`m an easy going kiwi guy looking for some help with my property. Its right beside the beach and I surf when its good. I would prefer someone with building or painting or with practical hands on experience. I work full time as an art teacher. You will have your own private room. There is a big supermarket 10 mins drive from the house. You can walk to the beach from my place. Any questions feel free to ask! :)
Thanks!
Also I eat meat and vegetables.

I would like help for 4 hours per day in exchange for accommodation and 3 meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner...sometimes even desert!) We can also surf together.

NOTE # Please provide your own alcohol

Lets have a fun cultural exchange! The surf has been great!

Want to experience a slice of heaven? We are lucky enough to live in one of the most beautiful spots in the world (well we think so anyway!) and we would love a bit of help.
We are a family of 4. The 7ha property, the sheep, cows, pigs, chickens and dog keep us busy but we always ensure we find the time to enjoy all that this amazing location has to offer.
We live right on the waters edge on the beautiful Taiharuru Estuary 25 minutes from Whangarei. With our own private beach at the bottom of the garden we enjoy sailing, kayaks, fishing and other water activities. The area boasts some great surf beaches and walks.
We need a bit of help with a variety of jobs including gardening, fencing, pruning, building a vegetable garden, looking after the animals, cooking and cleaning and generally just helping out. Some of the work will be hard so you will need to be physically fit and prepared to put in the effort.
We want you to feel part of the family and accommodation is in th... more inside

We are a family of three with a 5 year old girl and are vegetarians (not vegan). We try to lead a reasonably healthy existence - we maintain a chemical free home as far as possible and this extends to the use of personal "care" products, cleaning products and food. We ensure the food we eat is at least spray-free, preferably organic, we don`t use a microwave oven and mostly use whole foods and only small amounts of refined foods. This is a no smoking property.

Sophia, an acupuncturist, works in town from Tuesday - Saturday as well as practising acupuncture from home while David mostly works on the property.

This property grows macadamias and olives along with various fruit trees for home use. In autumn of 2018 a lot more banana plants will be planted as a group of us plan on starting a banana industry in NZ. There is a vegetable garden as well as 8 chickens. There are 3 mobile lawnmowers on the property (sheep).

Tasks include, but is not limited to, weeding a... more inside

We live on a 90 acre beef and sheep farm, surrounded by stunning panoramic views, only 15 minutes from Whangarei. We both work during the week and would need some help with light farm work, gardening and building.

What we offer: Horse riding (beginners welcome). If you have your own transport, we are close to both coasts and the Waipoua forest and only 2 and a half hours away from Auckland. We are situated in a kiwi conservation reserve (you can hear them at night if you get lucky!). We are near the kiwi house in Whangarei if you want to see one. There are lots of beautiful hikes and areas to explore around our property.

We are friendly and fun, so make sure you pack up your sense of humour in your backpack!

We encourage helpers to stay for a week, and we would like you to work for 4 hours a day in exchange for meals and accommodation (2 queensize beds, own bathroom and private from the rest of the house). The house is modern and warm in winter, cool in summer.more inside
