Hi everyone

Juls, Steve and Finley (12 months old) own and run the farm with the assistance of Juls father (Alistair). Steve works off farm in IT.

Its a 6th generation family run beef breeding (hereford) farm in the beautiful Rangitikei region. We have a small amount sheep, bee hives, various orchards and given the abundance of native trees/bush, native birds and animals abound.

The farm is 25 minutes from Wanganui, 20 minutes from Marton and Hunterville, and centrally located to rivers, mountains and the sea.

We are looking for active and fun loving people to share our world, exchange cultures and contribute to the day to day running of the farm with lots of variety.

Current Projects: Planting trees, building sheds, feeding stock and gardening.

No experience needed just a keen attitude & lodgical thinking. :)

Accommodation is separate from the main homestead in a four bedroom cottage which located 1.5km from the main house and is next to the river.

We are managing a 2000 acre sheep and beef farm up the Kawhatau Valley. I am a school teacher but am currently on maternity leave. We are looking for a variety of help at different stages. Mainly gardening (planting and weeding), pruning, light farm work and maintenance. We have a double bedroom available for a couple or two rooms for two single people. Wifi provided. We eat farm meat but can cater for vegetarians too.
There are lots of activities of interest for travellers in our rural community: Mangaweka rafting and River Valley for rafting and horse trekking. We are close to the mountains for skiing and the Tongariro Crossing. Taupo is 2 hours away with the two thermal activity. Happy to be flexible eg a full days work for a full day off to explore.

On State Highway 3, northern side of Wanganui. We have a car museum on site, lots of trees and lawn, was a garden centre originally. About 2km from our popular berry farm, 5km from the centre of our River City, Wanganui, 8km from the beach. Prefer couple with gardening knowledge, painting skills handy too. Separate small 2 room cottage on site, loo, bathroom and kitchen accessed by a 20m walk to the downstairs area of the main house. Currently no animals to look after. A section of the large parking area loaned to the GOME Trust (Grumpy Old Men's Enterprises) for retirees to dismantle appliances to raise funds for children's charities - working bee on Sunday mornings.
Ed and I spend long hours weekdays at work, often home by 9pm so the downside is you'd have to make your own meals, with Sunday dinner up at our place. Otherwise an interesting place to be, always something happening around here and people to meet and things to do.

Hi, I'm Greg and Tataramoa farm is a sheep and beef property approx. 12km from Marton township which is about half way between Wanganui city and Palmerston North city. There is always plenty to do and experience on a farm. I have three spare bedrooms so there's plenty of room. If you could get yourself to the township of Bulls I could pick you up from there, but Warning! I'm a terrible cook....
If you wish to come and stay please allow me a couple of days to respond to your request, thanks!

Historic NZ Farm
With space for an experienced horse trainer, to help out training the young clydesdales, and/ Or a builder, to help repair our buildings.
Our farm is half NZ bush and half grazing land.
It has spectacular views, hunting, clydesdale horses, sheep, cattle, goats, wild deer, pigs, and many native nz birds and plants.
The terrain is quite steep in places, so the person would need to be fairly fit, and experienced in the outdoors. Its a family enviroment,so references are required, meals and accommodation would be provided. :-)
