Hello! We are a family of five who live in the country side of the Wairarapa. Our three children are aged 15,13 and 10. We live 20 minutes from the main town Masterton. We live on a small farm, with 35 acres of land that have sheep and cows on them. We have recently finished a cottage which consists of a main en-suite bedroom with a bathroom and small walk in wardrobe. The room has two king single beds. In the lounge area there is a couch/sofa bed which is a double bed. There is a deck outside the lounge. You have the choice of having dinner with us or making your own dinner, (either way all food for three meals per day will be provided). We have many jobs that
need doing such as feeding our cows hay, painting, fencing, chain sawing, washing windows, and gardening etc. We are happy to pick you up from the train station, if need be. No smokers please.

PLEASE GET IN CONTACT WITH US IF YOU CAN DO FENCING OR CHAINSAWING!

We would really love some helpers during the holidays... more inside

It is time to find some more helpers as I am missing my cultural experience and also have lots of jobs to do. Currently there are baby goats to feed and some moving of tools etc into a new shed and building shelves.

If you enjoy interacting with a Kiwi host, playing pictionary and having fun, then come join me for a week or even longer if things go well.

You need to be enthusiastic about working-lots of easy farm jobs, gardening, painting, waterblasting, the list goes on. I will match the jobs with your skills but also teach you new skills that are not too hard.
Projects to be done to personalise your experience.

My farm is 10kms off State Highway 1 towards Wellington, very easy to stop off on your way to the ferry!

I am middle aged woman who runs a 25ha farm with beef cattle and goats in a small rural village 30mins from Palmerston North in the North Island of New Zealand. My house is 1km away from the seaside which is good for fishing and swimming.

I work in the da... more inside

Hello,

I am not currently looking for helpers.

I am Shelley, a working mum, and I live with my cheeky little 14 month old boy, and two boarders in urban Masterton. I have done a bit of travelling myself, and look forward to the opportunity to welcome travelers into my home as others have done for me.

I can offer a room in my house, and use of a shared bathroom, and unlimited wifi. There is a bicycle available and possibly a car (for someone who can drive a manual and has the relevant licence). However, I am happy to collect helpers from the train station, so no self-transport is required.

The environment here would suit a younger person. In our house we have a fun and social environment.

In return for accommodation/food, I would expect 2-4 hours work a day however I am flexible with sightseeing and travel plans. There is always plenty to be done here, including gardening, cleaning, cooking, and general housework.

Please note this is a drug-free property, althoug... more inside

Spring is here and we have got space for 1 female helper to help with everyday tasks (e.g. spring cleaning, cooking, looking after the kid(s)) and help with garden work.
You should have some experience and we'd like a 10 days minimum stay.

--

Jobs are a mixed and weather dependent - gardening (e.g. weeding, watering, tidy up jobs, odd jobs & projects), daily family life & household tasks (e.g. dishes, cleaning, help with cooking & washing), feeding animals/pets and looking after the kids.

We are a Kiwi-German family with 3 children (7, 10 and & 4 yrs old) and live in the beautiful Wairarapa region. We live on a sheep & beef farm about 3kms from the scenic Tora coast. We have got cats, rabbits, dogs, chickens, honey bees and on the farm are lots of sheep & cattle (of course). There is also an opportunity for horse riding if you've got experience.

We'd like ~4-5 hours of help a day in exchange for food and accommodation in our family home.

Helpers should be comfortab... more inside

We are looking for a very special helper to help us with our children during October.

We have two energetic children, 4 and 7. We need someone to help them get ready for school, drop them off to school and preschool and pick them up after school and take them to their after school activities, three days a week. The rest of the week is your own to explore our beautiful region.

Its not difficult work, but you must be responsible, reliable and love children. Cooking skills and a working knowledge of My Little Pony and Minecraft will be an advantage. You must have good english, a full drivers licence and be confident driving on the left hand side of the road.

You'll need to be able to commit to staying with us for 3 or 4 week over the month of October.

If you are travelling as a couple, we may be able to find work for a fit strong keen person who loves working outdoors on our farm.

We live on a large sheep and beef farm. We have a beautiful property just 10minut... more inside

Like ... Carterton?

Are you in the North Island heading south or travelling north from the South Island/Wellington on SH2 through the Wairarapa from beginning of September onwards? We are looking for 1 or 2 helpers for up to 1 week, either a couple or 1 or 2 single helpers, to help with various jobs.

My husband and I have just built a passive home that we are still completing. We have a spare bedroom with an ensuite & TV. Our children are at University so most of the time we have 3 spare bedrooms so can have more than one helpx staying at a time. We have a pigs, 50 sheep, chickens, 2 standard poodles, a donkey, a goat & 2 pet lambs that are bottle fed! We also have a very large vegetable garden. We live a 5 minute drive from the city so to have your own vehicle would be useful. We are happy to drop you in to town some days.

We are looking for people prepared to work 4hrs per day in exchange for 3 meals a day. Jobs would include general gardening in the vege garden, a bit of painting, cleaning, maybe helping establish our garden, fencing,
collecting firewood, building maintenance and other odd jobs around the property. We love to cook but are happy for you to be creative in our kitchen also. We are social so have a lot of visitors pop in. If you work well for us we will be ... more inside

We have a lifestyle block in the sunny Manawatu, about 15 minutes from the city of Palmerston North, with a park-like garden. We have a variety of projects that that can be fun to help with. Right now we would love some help with building a beautiful barn by someone with carpentry or joinery skills. Other jobs include the vege garden, stacking firewood, building paths, and general garden work.

We also like to have help inside with housework, cleaning and cooking - we love good food! For guests with specific skills, we can usually make a project to suit the person. Working hours vary according to what is going on, what the weather is like, and such - we are not slaves to the clock.

Both of us work from home and so we are generally around, and we like to interact with travelers who come and stay with us. The bedroom is comfortable and the bed is cosy. We prefer non-smokers. We look forward to hearing from you.
