Hi,

We live in a sunny, private home in the beautiful suburb Northland. You can walk to the botanic garden in 5-10 minutes or to the city center in around 35 minutes or you can take the bus - the bus station is just 1 minute away.

In return for accomodation, breakfast and dinner we expect 15-20 hours work/week for housework and some babysitting/childcare.
We are a German family with three boys (newborn, 2 years + 5 years).

Because of the children non smokers only please.

Hi there! We are a friendly family of four with two cats. Louise works part time and Trent works in the city. Our kids are 5 and 7 and lots of fun. We enjoy travel and meeting new people, good food, craft beer (Trent is in to home brewing!) and hosting friends. Our kids are also friendly and love meeting new people.

At the moment we need some helpers who love hanging out with kids and can help out with meal preparation as Louise will be away for a week for work. We also would love help with the school fair on November 3, where we are running a fundraising cafe stall and need to bake, serve people and do dishes. It should be lots of fun.

There may also be some odd jobs to do, painting, gardening, building etc. We like to be flexible so helpers can do what they are good at/enjoy doing, so let us know what you are in to!

We would prefer couples or friends who are over 25. We need people who are happy to fit in with out family life and share meals with us (most of the time)... more inside

We are now looking for help.

Work around here consists of general farm work, gardening, and a variety of jobs around the house.

We have a large beautiful home and rural property 25 minutes from downtown Wellington.

Our property includes 1.2 hectares of pristine native bush filled with native birds.
Our household is busy, fun & noisy, but our location is peaceful.
Our ideal helper is a hard worker who is friendly and sociable, but also happy to look after themselves.
We speak french, a little spanish & Maori.

Hello helpers out there,

We are a young Belgian family living on a lovely lifestyle block in rural Kaitoke. We have three children Lena (6yrs), Morris (3.5yrs) and Rosa (1yr). Our animal menagerie consists of sheep, chickens, two Belted Galloway steers and Muscat, our cat.

We are a 15 min. drive away from Upper Hutt and can do pick ups from the train station.

The Tararua Forest Park, the Rimutaka Rail Trail and Kaitoke Regional Park (Rivendell) are only a couple of minutes away from our house.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and proactive person to stay with us for about one week mainly to help with general household jobs like vacuuming, cleaning windows, babysitting, cooking, tidying etc. There might also be the odd job with the animals or in the garden.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

We are a non-smoking, pescetarian (we don't it meat, but we do it fish) household in Lower Hutt. We live in a lovely warm and sunny house with nice views of the harbour. Our two adult children have left home now, one living in Auckland and the other studying in Germany.
We enjoy meeting new people from around the world.

On our 750 sqm section there is always something to do - from mowing lawns to pruning or planting. Other work around the house includes general tidy up, painting and related preparations, water-blasting, cutting/stacking firewood, composting etc. Some tasks involve power tools or ladders, but only if you're comfortable with them.
We also own other properties nearby were there's similar work needs to be done.

We have space for a couple or two friends travelling together. For accomodation and home cooked meals we expect you to work for four hours a day. You can mostly decide when you work, and it can be one longer day and the next day off. Just so you kn... more inside

Otaki is 1 hour north of Wellington by car on the Kapiti coast with its great beaches and bush. We live in a rural setting about 2km from the main state highway 1.

Our place is a specialist heritage rose nursery (all of our roses are grown from cuttings in planter bags and supplied by mail order all year round). We also propagate other plants from our 3 acre country garden (which is open to the public Oct to March). We sometimes have workshops on gardening and arts/crafts in our new barn. We are also a small wedding venue. We have a 4 acre run down pear orchard. We also have a few beef cattle and two young dogs. You would be taking meals with us in our beautiful heritage home built in the 1890s. You will be staying in a lovely warm room in our fully insulated barn (which has a kitchenette) with your own shower room and toilet. The room can be configured as a twin or double room.

Work involves gardening, weeding in the nursery, and at certain times of year, helping with rose cu... more inside

Erica (originally from Italy) and Matiu (Maori from Aotearoa), in their early 40s, and their baby boy Manuariki (2 years old now), welcome you to their home in exchange for help mainly in the garden and around the house. On the property there are some fruit trees and vegetable gardens all grown organically, and four chickens. There is a spare room in the house with garden views where you will be sleeping.
The house is located in beautiful Paekakariki, 3 minutes walking distance from the beach and right next to the coastal park with plenty of walking and mountain bike tracks. Paekakariki has a train station (40 min from Wellington), a few shops, a vibrant community of artists and gardeners, and stunning sunsets! Idyllic spot on the Kapiti Coast offering opportunities for fruit harvesting, pruning, tree planting, blackberry hacking, landscaping, feeding animals and vegetable gardening. Beautiful river and hiking activities in the Tararua Mountains within walking distance in your free time. Also a piano, guitar and ukelale available for free time. Nearest cafe and supermarket shops are 10km away. Train station to get to Wellington city is 13km away. So possible to stay without a car but not ideal.

Hosts have travelled and volunteered overseas so enjoy the company of travellers. Guest accommodation is at the far end of the house in a lovely light room with outlook to garden. No curtains but very private. Bathroom is shared with host family. There is a toddler in the house so afternoons and evenings need to be reasonably quiet.

We are a family of 4, mum and 3 kids (ages 7, 5 and 21 months) living on a suburban property in Raumati South, about a 20 minute walk from the beach. We are trying to create an organic oasis of fruit trees and edible plants, but right now the garden is a bit over run and in need of some love!
I am currently looking for a person or a couple to help me out for a week or so, with some gardening and maybe a little painting.
In return for 4 hours work a day you'll have a comfy bed and 3 meals a day. I am open to catering to various different dietary requirements. You will also have access to wifi.

Raumati South where we live is about a 50 minute drive or train ride from wellington city.
