We live on a high country sheep & beef farm in Central Otago in a little rural area called Tarras. Our family all farm here and we have two additional workers who help us out on the farm. We have pet dogs, cat, and hens
as well as the farm animals.

Tarras is located a short drive from local towns Cromwell (20 mins) or Wanaka (30 mins) and Queenstown (1hr). It is a great spot to stop over if you are travelling between Christchurch/Mount Cook and Queenstown/Wanaka/ Fiordland.

We are looking for people who are interested in helping us out with our garden at our farm homestead. Work will vary depending on what needs done at the time and your skills. Examples are gardening, building, painting, maintenance jobs, cooking or cleaning.

You can explore the farm in your free time where you can bike, hike or swim in the river. Hours can be flexible to allow you to explore the surrounding areas as there is lots to see and do if you have a car. To get the most out of your stay we... more inside

Come and join our family!
We are Jen, Jarrah, Ava(5), Zelie(3) and Hazel the Nut (brown labrador).

We are working towards building an Eco retreat micro cottage on our property however there is a long way to go with clearing weeds, vines and replanting with native plants etc. The weeds are making a come back as the days warm up with summer and we need help!

Other projects include building paths, pruning, painting, building fences, gathering materials and helping in the organic vegetable garden. We also appreciate help inside with cleaning, cooking and childcare.

Our house is often crazy and shambolic with two young ones so please be aware and comfortable with the sparkle and pop that young ones bring. Accomodation options include a double or single bed in a private room inside, or your own space in our sweet aframe caravan.

We would like some help tidying up the garden, mowing lawns, window cleaning, weedeating and general odd jobs for about 4 hours a day.

We are approximately 6km from Arrowtown so having a car would be helpful. There is a walking/biking track close by if your happy to jump on a bike it is 30 minutes to Arrowtown. You would have your own room and a bathroom, wifi and meals provided.

There is just my husband, myself our dog Gus and a couple of sheep so it is reasonably quiet and very relaxed.

Kia Ora all we are Jo & Rusty, our property is on Riverbank Road in Wanaka, nestled in 7.5 acres split between our yurt accommodation businesses- Oasis & personal use.

Alongside being busy with the businesses we strive to care & keep developing the rest of the property into usefulness through installing fencing, irrigation, the growing & planting of trees & vegetables & other ideas as they crop up!

Currently our main "help" roles involve gardening, landscaping & general property maintenance, i.e. weeding

Some cleaning and general jobs are often on the cards & if you have any trade skills or experience - carpentry, building etc then there's plenty of jobs with a bit more flair that we can work on together.

We have a fabulous self-contained bedford house-bus as our helper accommodation, which provides helpers with a great private space.
