If you love dogs and the beach this is the place for you.

I have just got out of hospital after my appendix burst and need help getting the garden in order as I am continually looking at it overgrown.

I have a beautiful log home by the beach 15 mins from Christchurch, with a quirky bach down the garden I rent on Airbnb.

We are looking for a person or persons for general duties and house prep for new guests.

I am generally busy and do not get time to maintain the garden and a few DIY jobs I need assistance with. I am converting two shipping containers into alternative accommodation too.

We have two dogs that love attention and need walks on the beach. We have lovely Mika who is a 6 year old Husky and Dexter the wee black Pug of three years.

We have sea kayaks and bikes for you to head out on and can find you additional work if required.

Enthusiastically

Neil

Happy to consider help.....prefer mid February now. Some paving skills would be great. Would also be wonderful if someone could rebuild my small lean-to storage shed as it's falling apart. Always need help in the garden and olive and hazel nut grove!!! Please note our heated plunge pool is now in use and is great to relax in after some work. Couples or two singles with transport is preferred as we are off the main public transport route approximately one hours south of the centre of Christchurch and ideal for folk heading either north or south.

Our current work programme is always being expanded so always plenty to do here particularly in the garden. If you consider you have some special talent to offer please contact us. Helpers with carpentry skills or handyman/woman skills are particularly welcome.

We are meat eaters so catering for non meat eaters can be a little difficult, but do-able with your help.

We are a friendly couple in our mature years, very energeti... more inside

Come and help us on our 5 acre section, and stay self-contained cottage in a valley just 15 minutes outside Christchurch (plus access to our swimming pool!)

We offer private, self-contained, self-catering two-bedroom cottage (one double and two singles), including separate bathroom and large living room, on a beautiful and quiet 5 acre section at the foot of Christchurch's Port Hills. We are developing a large and extensive garden with organic veg patch, orchards and the beginnings of woodland areas. We are just 20 minutes from the city centre (you can get a bus to Halswell and we can pick you up from there). Great cafes, wineries, pub and local shops within walking distance. We love meeting new people and hearing about adventures and in return you can find out what it's really like to live in rural New Zealand. There are mature trees all around, huge numbers of native birds and absolutely no traffic - bliss (plus a swimming pool which is nice at the end of a hot day).

Here is a little bit of background about me and the business:

I have been around horses from the age of about 6 so have 34 years worth of experience with them and have combined some of what I learnt in the early days (through the traditional English method) with all I have picked up from the Natural style which I have been learning for around the past 13 years.

About 9 years ago I set up my own business using Natural Horsemanship to train horses and teach people how to be with our equine friends. I have a base close to Christchurch and a small team of horses/ponies which are available for people to use who donít have access to their own. I am also available for those with their own horses to teach/train either at their own paddock or back at my base. I offer a variety of services from breaking in or starting horses through to basic pony rides, lessons, school holiday programmes and more. I have a passion for this style of being with these amazing creatures and love to share... more inside
