About us.
Hi, we love having helpers, our names our Stephanie and Dave, we are a married couple with two of three kids at home 15 and 25. We both work, Dave is a plumber and Steph is a teacher/caterer. We are what you would call a typical family, sometimes a little dis-functional but otherwise normal. At the moment we are a little busy with work, renovating, building a food van and the usual home life. We haven’t had the time to do all the things we’d like to do around our home and garden and we are in need of some extra help. We both love to socialise and happy to welcome you into our home as part of our family. We are very easy going people.

Accomodation
Our home is a two storey cottage with an attic on an elevated and hilly two and a half acres of land, which needs some work inside and outside. Our animals include dogs, cats, a Corella bird, 2 sheep and 1 alpaca. A love for animals would be advantageous as we have many. Free Wi fi is also available.

We live in a rural setting on the edge of Warrnambool (3.5 hrs by train from Melbourne) with its beautiful coastline and sea.
Warrnambool has just been voted Australia’s most livable city and we live 20 mins from a pretty fishing village which is also a favourite tourist destination.
We also have a holiday rental house in Warrnambool very close to the beach/ocean, Visitor Information Centre and Flagstaff Hill.
South West Victoria is very interesting and diverse with lots to see & do including the Great Ocean Road. We can also take you to see kangaroos, koalas, emus in a natural setting in the area. 4 of our Helpxers have found a koala in our garden - it happens sometimes.

Our property has lovely views to the north and consists of a large garden with fruit trees, vegetable garden, home, outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and thatched Balinese bungalow which is used as a reflexology clinic and we have a very special 14 year old West Highland dog who loves attention.

We are urgently looking for Helpx people to start immediately on our horse property. We provide an opportunity for backpackers who have an interest in horses to spend some time on a horse farm where horses are ridden and trained for dressage and jumping. Those that have established riding ability have an opportunity to ride and undertake instruction in riding, it provides a great opportunity to improve riding skills for those that are suitable. We have other horse related activities for those who cannot ride proficiently.

We have been training and breeding competition horses for over forty years and information about us is available on the web. For those that wish to review that information, Google search for our property name which is Northern Warmblood Stud, or Northern Warmbloods.

The property is approximately three and a half hours from Melbourne by bus, and daily bus services serves the local area from Melbourne. We have the full range of farm related duties that helpe... more inside

Hi and thanks for reading :)

Come and join us on beautiful French Island, which is 70% national park, uniquely natural and very Australian. We need help from a couple, with one or both being experienced with cooking and/or building, also general house maintenance.

FRENCH ISLAND is only a ten minute ferry ride after an hour drive from Melbourne, Victoria. We proudly have the largest population of healthy Koalas in the world, great natural landscapes, over 250 bird species and only 100 resident humans!

Fully off-grid with unsealed roads, French Island is like stepping back in time, but we are equipped with solar, wind and battery power.

Koalas regularly hang-out in our nearby trees, enjoying the bay-views north and south! It really is a beautiful location, surrounded by nature. We also have goats, an alpaca and Sam the dog.

If you like music, we have a selection of instruments including a piano, acoustic guitars, harmonica, flute and ukulele. We also have a pool-table, ... more inside

UPDATE: January / February 2020

Looking for helpers to assist moving an old caravan, cleaning it up and setting it up for future guests, moving a colourbond fence so one of my daughter's favourite climbing trees will be in our fenced south yard and creating a new north yard (with her other favourite climbing tree). Yes, climbing trees is one of my 8 year old daughter's favourite hobby's and she will love you forever if you can help. :-)
We also need help cleaning up around the outside of our farmhouse following extensive renovations (lots of wood to cut up, rubbish to load on trailer to take to tip etc). Possibly some help with plastering and painting too. Happy to mix it up a bit or let you choose which tasks you would prefer.

I am also in the process of setting up a small day tour company, so perhaps you can be my test passengers and have a free tour to let me test out my itinerary, and you give feedback.

We can provide free accomodation and food in return for 3-4 hou... more inside

Looking for ONE helper only at the moment. We are offering 5 hrs work just TWO days a week in exchange for accommodation and utilities. You purchase and pay for your food. You will have your own accommodation to yourself with kitchen, bathroom, toilet and private outside sitting area. Would best suit someone with their own vehicle.

We prefer helpers with a genuine interest in gardening, food-growing, or homesteading and helpers with some gardening experience.

SAMARA Forest Garden is a special place. A beautiful garden with many large trees, vegetable gardens, a fruit orchard and citrus grove, an ornamental garden and a peaceful forest beside an enchanting creek. Our chickens provide eggs, bees provide honey, and our miniature goats are delightful. Baby goats have just been born. Mini-sheep here love a pat too! This is a haven for native birds, kangaroos, wombats and wallabies.

Please if you wish to use illegal drugs do not apply. Check out the reviews below from happy help... more inside

INNER CITY MELBOURNE HOME:
A beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing home in an inner city Melbourne suburb, surrounded by nature with easy access to all the sights of Melbourne. Very close to CBD, and to the beach. There is a bus stop 60 seconds from my front door that takes you to the train and into the city and the train station is a short walk away (10-15 minutes) that is only a few stops into the CBD. My home is a ‘No smoking and no alcohol’ home. (If you smoke you can smoke outside.)

I am a professional woman in my late forties, engaged and soon to be married. I naturally gravitate towards people who are open-hearted, generous of spirit, positive and self aware. I surround myself with open-hearted, generous people who are making a positive difference in the world or are on a spiritual or personal growth journey of some kind. I am interested in psychology, health, and business. I exercise daily (bike and gym), eat healthily, and I appreciate being outdoors in nature.
