We are a holiday farm located next to vineyards with our own 170 acre heritage listed bushland. We offer guests glamping bell tents, ensuite cabins and campsites with power and water. We have a lake stocked with marron and many wineries close by. We have new cabin rooms that hold up to 5 persons available in exchange for help with cleaning and laundry, maybe a bit of organic gardening if you feel like it. Other work in the area may be able to be arranged by for you also - grape picking, pruning, depending on the time of year.
We have had 2 pairs of Helpexes, Sandra and Till and Jennifer and Ginette - both pairs have been fantastic additions to our family!

Hi helpers!

My name is Prue and I live in a beautiful home on a small farm in the Adelaide Hills, about 20 minutes drive away from the city.

I have spent the winter in Alice Springs with my daughter and I am returning to my home in the Adelaide Hills in mid August.

I will be driving down to Adelaide taking two days, and stopping overnight in Coober Pedy. If anyone is interested in sharing the drive with me, I can cover the cost of underground apartment accommodation and the cost of fuel. I can provide a few days accommodation in Alice Springs before leaving for Adelaide.

In Adelaide I have a large comfortable house, big garden and a small farm with a vineyard and walnut orchard. The countryside is very beautiful with forests, hills and native wildlife, such as possums, koalas and at least one kangaroo. We are in the country and not close to public transport, but I am happy to help with transport.

There is always a lot to do and your tasks could be:

We are a small farm producing Australian native flowers for the cut flower market. At present we are expanding our home vegetable production. We have a bright and airy one bedroom cottage available as accommodation. The cottage is not near our house so you will need to be independent and happy to look after yourself and have your own transport. Helping includes: planting, pruning, harvesting, fencing, construction, processing the flowers, weeding, watering, feeding small amount of stock, and other general farm duties.
Accommodation, wholesome ingredients for you to cook your own food, in exchange for 6 hours help 3 days a week.
The farm is secluded and quiet. We have dogs, cats, and pet alpacas, dairy goats and are developing the garden. Native wildlife abounds - wallabies, echidnas, emus...

This is in outback South Australia. It is heritage-listed as a once thriving railway site. We are a small family business operating mainly as a low-key campground and day visitor area. A major attraction to visitors is a bore-fed ‘natural spa’. The income from this helps us to fund our passions - ongoing restoration of heritage buildings, planting native trees and changing displays in our museum. Our latest enterprise is establishing a date plantation. We always appreciate help with a number of jobs such campground, plantation and garden maintenance; collecting firewood, fixing things, weeding and checking drippers; helping with museum displays, laying dripper lines, transplanting date palms, fertilising etc. We like to put to use any special skills our visitors might have and be able to share our experiences so speaking English is fairly important.

Animal encounters and local heritage...
Named for the windsong through the magestic Pepper Trees surrounding the homestead, our Estate of 10 hectares is nestled between the scenic Barossa Valley, famed world over for its fine food and wines, and the mighty River Murray, the third longest navigable river in the world and Mecca for river fishing and water sports.

Our homestead is adjacent to the River Marne, feeding into the Murray and habitat to myriad bird species and Australian wildlife. In season you may even catch fresh water yabbies in the waterholes. In the rural landscape you can explore century old farm relics and disused mines... may be gold in those hills yet. This is true `Big Sky` country, a painters delight, with dawns, sunsets and stars - Cambrai was recently internationally acclaimed as a star gazing venue for its clean pollution free atmosphere, so bring your star charts!

You will slumber in a pleasant country style bedroom furnished with bunk-beds and adjacen... more inside
