*** Help needed for July - home decoration, carpentry and mainly gardening ***

We are a English/Australian couple who own a house with very small small-holding just outside Canterbury. We have 3 children, Josie (10), Hazel (8) and Greta (18 months). We have a very large garden that we are slowly turning into a small-holding. We have a vegetable garden, orchard, chickens and 2 kittens.
We would love help with gardening, house decoration (painting, etc), landscaping, weeding, cooking, babysitting and particularly some carpentry.
We can offer a bedroom in our lovely home, sharing the family bathroom. We love travelling and really enjoy meeting people from all over the world. Our house has wifi and we can offer light breakfasts and lunches as well as dinners. We are just outside of the beautiful cathedral city of Canterbury which is accessible by bus or car. Canterbury is also just 1 hour by train from London.

Hi Everyone,

Having spent time volunteering and working in Europe several years ago, I set up a small language academy in Leeds for adults who are studying English.

We`re now looking for volunteers in July and August 2018.

We`re looking for volunteers who are native English speakers, and who would be interested in staying in our flats with the students helping them practise their English. This could be speaking English with them socially and at meal times, assisting them in their volunteer work, or taking them out on trips to nearby places of interest. If you`re interested in seeing the area, it`s a great way to do it as we pay for your expenses.

In general, you will be completely free in the mornings, and then you will do a 5 hour shift either in the afternoon (2-7pm) or the evening (7-12pm).

You won`t be expected to teach any English lessons, however if you are TEFL qualified this is a definite plus for us, so please let us know.

Richard Glyn Foundation - Gaunt's House

**We are currently particularly looking for people who would like to come for 3 months plus (subject to one month trial)**

Set in acres of beautiful land with a Georgian/ Edwardian period house built in the 18th Century by Sir Richard Glyn. The Foundation (a charity) was set up to offer opportunities for profound learning and seeks to instil values of community, honesty and openness.

We host national and international groups that facilitate learning in a range of personal and spiritual development subjects such as yoga, meditation, gongs/drumming, Zen meditation.

Based on a small country estate, we have a Victorian walled garden, which is being developed over time into an oasis of food production and a wildlife haven. We have inherited a much neglected garden and a lot of the work this year is in restoration, as well as trying to build new areas and grow new things in a more natural, sustainable and friendly manner.

Hi, we are John and Stephanie, semi-retired active hosts interested in history, art, poetry and folk music as well as farming. We are looking forward hosting friendly sociable volunteers so we can also learn about your life and culture.
Are you available to help us for a few weeks and learn more about our old-fashioned way of life?
Do you like horses and other animals? We need help with stable duties, field work, gardening and some housework. You will live in our home as part of the family which sometimes includes our elderly mother and our student son. In exchange for around 5 hours work per day (flexible) we offer full board and all meals are included. We cook good quality meals from basic ingredients and mostly buy locally sourced produce and are happy to cater for vegetarians as many of our meals are vegetarian. Please note we only accept non smokers. Our home is an unmodernised quirky Victorian farmhouse full of antiquity situated on the edge of a small farming villag... more inside

Update 13rd of July:

We need one volunteer ASAP, and shifts are gonna be different now cos we need 3 or 4 volunteers now. We will update shifts info soon but we can explain you on the interview.

Usually we don`t select volunteers until we know when the current volunteers are leaving, we know it`s not good for planning but it`s good for the current volunteers since they don`t feel pressure to leave and that is more important for us.

Anyway you can apply any time and if we like your profile we keep in touch and let you know when we have any position available

We are a community of 4 families living independently and sustainably in 4 low-energy converted barns with wood heating and renewable energy.
We have 5 hectares of land (half of it young woodland) which needs upkeep and have a small orchard and vegetable garden that needs looking after. We all have jobs outside of Cwm Maddoc and so would benefit from help with land maintenance. We have work days occasionally and regular weekly gardening mornings.
We are in a beautiful rural location where transport is slightly difficult (irregular bus service). Accommodation is in a wooden cabin which is off-grid (with solar power and running water) and wood burners. It has it`s own long-drop loo next door and the shower is a short walk away.
The surrounding areas of Herefordshire and Wales are stunningly beautiful with lovely walks, kayaking, wild swimming and cycling. The Black Mountains and Wye and Monnow Rivers are on the doorstep.
Summer life here is very sociable with outdoor space... more inside

We are a family of four, with two boys, aged 3 and 8 months. We are easy going, and enjoy the quiet life. We look forward to meeting and experiencing people from other cultures. Holly is English, Andy is Australian. We are happy to help people learning English.

We live in a mobile home / static caravan in a small community not far from Glastonbury (~10 miles), in the countryside. We are keen gardeners, and have an allotment nearby. We are a vegan household, and love cooking and sharing food.

We have been helpx volunteers several times around the world and are keen to get some help ourselves!

At the moment we have helpers until the middle of August, if you would like to come any time after that we need help with general DIY and cleaning/painting, keeping the baby entertained, and we love being cooked for! Help is also needed at the allotment. We would expect around 4 hours work a day, with 2 days off a week. 3 meals a day. We are flexible with working times.

We are a family who live in Sunny South Devon with 30 acres of private land at our home purely used for our own horses. We currently own 3 horses, 2 foals and 2 miniature ponies, all are pets. The land is getting the better of us, there always seems a job to do.
We are looking for someone a single person or a couple to help us maintain the land, possible fencing, gates etc strimming, hedge trimming, an odd bit of gardening, weeding, occasional window cleaning, brushing up etc, it would be brilliant if someone is also handy with tools but is not necessary.
We are going to be building another house just down the road from where we currently live in about 3 months time so if there is someone who has a talent within the building industry it would also be a bonus.
We are happy to negotiate the persons hours to suit, we don`t expect all day ! just a few hours.
In return we will offer a comfortable modern caravan to stay in, with electric and running water.
We are located in a quiet... more inside
