Helper wanted for a few weeks in April/May

We live in an 18th Century listed country house outside Maynooth, Co. Kildare, which we have been renovating over the last four years. We live at the end of a long avenue, but only a ten minute cycle to Maynooth which is a lively university town. There is a regular train service to Dublin and we are near many interesting historical sites. The house is also open to visitors on certain days during the year. We are a friendly family of 5, with 4 dogs, and 2 cats that need a lot of attention! We have a number of projects and tasks in the garden that need to be done over the next few months: clearing ivy from walls, planting and weeding flower beds, and putting in support systems for climbing plants.

We are looking for help for 2 weeks (ongoing for the right person) from March 2019 with maintenance jobs such as digging, weeding, jet washing, painting stable doors etc. Horses is our business so good knowledge of horses is essential and an interest in herbs an advantage as is a second european language (french, german). During the summer we run workshops from the farm teaching Equine courses such as Zoopharmacognosy, First Aid and Nutrition. We also run an online shop selling herbs. Positive work ethic is important as is a sense of fun and teamwork.

Our farm nestles between the beautiful Ox mountains and the Hill of Knocknashee which is 2 miles from the local village (one shop!) and 5 miles from the local town (tubbercurry), 35mins (by car) from local airport (Knock). The house has all normal facilities including Wi-fi. Food mostly vegetarian. Smoking outside only please.

Whave availability from March onwards. An interest in Medicinal Herbs is a given as this is what we specialise in. We are an Irish Specialist Nursery specialising in indoor gardening and medicinal herbs, we grow in the tunnels behind the house and are currently in the early stages of making a ten acre permaculture site for the apothecary and treatment centre in cork.
A cosy room, would suit a couple or an independant person. I'm away workng a few days a week in Dublin and Cork, but that should come to an end in a few weeks and I'll only be away one night from March.
I will need help in the tunnels as the season gets busier. Potting up, planting out, keeping the place clean. You'll need to be able to work under your own steam as I won't always be there to supervise. If you have any building skills that would be a help and you can help Jack with projects about the place. You also need to be able to cook, clean and light the fires, I'm not going to Mummy anyone. I did that... more inside

We live in a unique setting on the sea shore. Located on a beautiful, rural island off the West coast of Ireland. Visiting Clare island is like stepping back in time and allows you to immerse yourself in a natural and pristine environment. We are a small community of 150 people living on this beautiful rock in the Atlantic...

From April/May onwards the indoor work will be in the mornings helping with breakfast service, cleaning the rooms and laundry. We only have 5 rooms so you will be free to explore the island the rest of day once work is done.
